The cabin was supremely clean and smelled great. Nice having 100% no pet or smoking odors. The location on the lake is great, super quiet. We loved the kayaks and the dock for sunsets. Our home is in a very private location, so the privacy of this cabin was not as good as we would have liked. From the photos online, we thought it was more private. We also knew the cabin was 650 square feet, but the cooking area of the kitchen was smaller than we anticipated, and the bedroom with the queen bed has such limited floor space that it's hard to navigate around, even to just get in and out of the bed. We only gave 4 stars on location because there is a large pool going in across the street which gives you a less than private feeling when you arrive.

This was our third visit to Owl's Nest and just as great as the others. We always say we should visit more of the activities available around this area... and then we laugh together because everything we want in a lake vacation is right there. We sleep deeply, cook happily (knowing all the great pots and utensils and other cookware we never find in other vacation rentals are all there), and swim daily. We sit on the deck, the dock, by the stove inside: no matter the weather there's a comfy spot and a great view. And not everyone cares about things like this, but -- after dark I usually dive into the lake and stargaze. The water off the dock is so clear and deep, there's not a bit of grass or other plants that make some lakes less-than-pleasant. Clear, deep water = perfect swimming at night when you can't see, and during bright sun when you can. Love this place!

David and Pearle were fantastic hosts - they were quick to provide information regarding the property as well as other events of note going on that weekend. Everything was as advertised, perfectly clean, and stocked with everything you could possibly imagine wanting to needing while lakeside. I'm certainly looking forward to visiting again!

We loved the house, which gave a new meaning to the word “clean!” Everything was special and so thoughtful. We enjoyed the easy access dock, the kayaks, and the lovely yard. The charming carvings and sweet garden walks are a treat. We spent a lot of time on the deck and in the hot tub. Very special!

We had the absolute best time for our extended weekend! We went fishing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. The property owners were very accommodating and very fast to communicate. We can't wait to stay there again in the near future!

Owls Nest is located on our favorite end of Deep Creek Lake. We loved the cottage style and decor with everything you truly need for a comfortable and fun stay. The best part for us was the inclusion of kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. The fishing wasn’t bad either. Next we will stay longer.

This was my family's second trip to the Owl's Nest. We love the location and numerous amenities provided. The house is extremely clean and stocked with everything you may need. Dave and Pearle give helpful information about the surrounding area and are easy to reach if needed. Would highly recommend the Owl's Nest!

This cabin was perfect and at the very top of our list of places we have stayed. It was very clean and fully stocked with everything you need. The hot tub, fire pit, games, kayaks, paddleboards, canoes, etc were perfect. You don’t need to bring anything. It’s all there. The owners take great care in making sure you feel welcome and have everything you need.

Our kids had a blast. Playground, life jackets for water stuff, and toys/books. Cabin is clean, updated, and stocked with all the essentials. Dock, fire pit, and hot tub are incredible. We had a great time and would highly recommend!

This was our first trip to Deep Creek Lake and it couldn't have been better. Quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. The cabin is perfect for a couple or small family and had everything we could have possibly needed and then some. My wife loved the Alice in Wonderland garden and the two local ducks seemed to love her, to the point of jumping onto the dock anytime they saw her there and even following her up into the yard. We got a lot of use out of the kayaks during the day and spent the nights by the fire and in the hot tub. Chipmunks chasing each other through the yard, butterflies everywhere, and a very quiet part of the lake. It was perfect. Can't wait to come back. We would definitely stay here again.

The place was percect for a quiet getaway. We enjoyed the hot tub sitting on the deck watching seemed like the same doe graze the yard. Enjoyed sitting by the lake watching the ducks. We checked out several places which were great. Only thin I'd change if possible would be an earlier check-in but, cleaning can take aome time. Wonderful host that offered games, movies, kayaks, playset, lovely garden trail, and everything you need for smores.

We were so happy to see this property was true to the description. The place is beautiful. I loved all the little details in the yard, from the walking path to the carvings. So much to see and do, no matter the weather. The owners were very good at communicating with us and they literally thought of everything. You literally need to just pack your personal belongings. We definitely want to come back again. Maybe we will get lucky and make this our anniversary spot for years to come. Thank you for your hospitality and all the love and detail you put into your home and then to share it with others to enjoy!

What a wonderful, relaxing, tranquil retreat. David and Pearle were such gracious hosts, providing so many amenities for our comfort/enjoyment. Morning coffee on the dock and evenings in the hot tub with beautiful lake views were a great way to start and end each day. We enjoyed roasted marshmallows and s'mores by the campfire. The information binder on the counter was so helpful, especially for giving us ideas of places to visit in the area, such as Swallow Falls State Park, Deep Creek State Park, and Fallingwater. Owl's Nest was the perfect place for us to rest, relax, and recharge. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with us!

Very cozy location. My wife and I stayed for our anniversary and enjoyed our stay. The hot tub was amazing and very clean. It was the perfect place for us and we would definitely recommend it. The only thing I would change would be to have a larger shower but it served its purpose. Great place with plenty of activities for all ages.

Our family enjoyed staying at this cabin over our spring break. The weather was cooler so the hot tub was a welcome past time in the afternoons & evenings. The owners put a lot of care into their property and it shows. There were plenty of kayaks, canoes, life jackets to select from and use. We enjoyed lunch on the back porch and took in the beautiful views of the lake. We would recommend staying here for the lake views, comfort, and convenience to the nearby town. We plan to visit again!

My family (myself, my husband, and 2 daughters ages 14 & 11) had a wonderful time at The Owl's Nest. Dave and Pearle are amazing hosts - they provided so much information about the area and went above and beyond in more than one way for us! The cabin was exactly as described in a secluded cove right on the lake. It was so quiet and peaceful, and the owners have added so much to the cabin to ensure guests have a great experience. We enjoyed the hot tub, the substantial movie collection, outdoor games, classic video games and kayak despite the snowy weather! The pool access at nearly Garrett Community College was a huge bonus as well. The rooms are small but comfy and the cabin has plenty of furnishings and extras that allowed us to relax and worry about nothing! We'd love to come back to The Owls Nest again!

I highly recommend! A very clean home with all the things you need for a relaxing getaway. The location on the lake is perfect with a hot tub to relax in and close to local trails and activities. The hosts were great and provided all the detailed information we needed and were available for whatever questions we may have had during our stay.

Owls Nest is truly a "hidden gem".❤️ It has everything you need for a perfect getaway. It's very cozy, and inviting. There's so much to do and if you don't wanna do nothing it's perfect for that too! I hope to come back with my children and grandson I know they will love it just as much as I did. We had a wonderful time in this charming cabin in a serene and quiet location in Deep Creek. The cabin was exactly as described in the listing and had everything we needed (and more) to enjoy our stay. The owners went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay including leaving a welcome basket with smore ingredients and an array of teas, candy and treats to make it extra special. I especially loved the folding card table that we used to work on puzzles while watching movies on a rainy night. My mom and I truly enjoyed our girls weekend away and look forward to staying at this cabin again in the future.

Dave and Pearle have a lovely cabin on the lake and are so good about going the extra step to make your stay very comfortable and relaxing. There are so many extra amenities you don’t often find in other rentals. They are very thoughtful to provide extra little things that make your stay more memorable.
We plan to come back again in warmer weather to enjoy being on the lake doing water activities. They have plenty of water crafts included on property!

Owl nest is the perfect winter getaway! My husband I celebrated Valentine's Day in this cozy cabin. The property was exactly as listed and was super clean! The hosts David and Pearle were always available to answer any questions we had and they checked in periodically to make sure we had everything we needed. The home was about 15mins from Wisp resort and close to everything we needed. We even got to experience a mini snowstorm on our last day (hot tub was perfect in the snow, thanks Pearle!) and the roads were cleared pretty quickly. We have zero complaints and would love to stay again.

This comfortable, cozy cabin has a very modern bathroom and kitchen, a beautiful wooded setting and location right on the lake. The cabin was very well-equipped—we can’t imagine how it could be improved. We were here in winter to do cross country skiing. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and gas fireplace. Our host made sure snow was cleared from steps, driveway and walk areas. The thoughtful owners checked in with us via texts to be sure all was well and we had no questions. We definitely want to return!

The cabin is adorable and decorated so well! It is fully stocked...the owners have literally thought of anything and everything that someone would need for their stay. If you forget something, it is most likely there. They were very communicative checking in on us the day we arrived as needed. They have so many outdoor games (frisbee golf, corn hole, ladder ball, etc.) and there is a little path along the boundary of the yard with an adorable frog garden. There are swings in various places as well as a playset. It was perfect for our girls' weekend. Highly recommend and if we go back, will choose Owl's Nest once again.

We loved our stay at Owl's Nest. It had everything you'd want for a weekend getaway. We felt warm and cozy both inside and out - steaming in the hot tub while the snow fell and snuggled up in the beds with the heated pads. It was very clean, and the personal decor was a fun and cozy touch. David and Pearle were kind and responsive hosts, the view of the lake was beautiful, and we all hated to leave! We're excited to come back in wermer weather and out those kayaks to use. Thank you for a lovely stay!
