Amazing little place. For those that want privacy, but still be walking distance to everything in the area, this is the place for you! You can hear the sounds of the ocean when the birds and other wildlife aren't whooping it up. Regular flyovers by scarlet macaws, visits by toucans, and other birds. Capuchin monkeys visited 2 of our 3 days. Landscaping on the property is simply gorgeous! The owners were very prompt to respond to any questions we had, including "What's making the burrows in the yard?" ...Frogs! Highly recommend for a single or a couple that wants to get away for a long weekend.

Our time at Ocean Melody 2 was amazing. I could not have enjoyed our 2 weeks more and was sad to leave. The national park as the backyard is phenomenal. We had monkeys, maccaws, toucans, iguanas and all types of birds. The new lookout was my favorite place in the morning. Laundry service is just down the street and very easy/fast. We will definitely be back. Massi is very responsive when you have questions. A couple things to note: (none reasons not to give 5 stars): - Bring extra towels 2 house, 2 pool are provided, it with showers, pool and beaches you will want more. They normally dry out before morning of left our early enough. - We worked part-time while we were there and had great service in the day. The weather can make the internet drop in the area, not for long maybe 2 minutes max, but if you need to work at night important to note. - There also was construction of a new house across the street, not something Massi could control but it did take away and was loud at times. This is temporary just wished it hadn’t aligned with our vacation.

Ocean Melody 2 is just as awesome as the original Ocean Melody. Love the pool & garden area. Will definitely stay again at any of Massi’s properties

Our family of 4 stayed here for just two nights and wish we’d stayed longer. The beaches are so secluded and gorgeous and Massi was an amazing host. Excellent communication prior to arrival that answered everything about the house and the area and available to answer questions when we arrived. Beautiful spot, it felt so fancy for our family, very private and beautiful pool. We truly loved it here and would recommend it to anyone. Yummy food a walk down the street called Falafel Uvita too!

We stayed there for 8 days, and the cottage is wonderful. It is big enough for two adults and has a nice garden and a pool. It is not that far from the beach and good restaurants, supermarket and other shops are also very close. We enjoyed every day of our stay. The only annoying thing was that the bed creaked a lot. Massi is always available and if there is aproblem, he reacts in a very fast way But the accommodation is absolutely recommendable. Perhaps we will come back at any time.

We booked to stay at Ocean Melody last year but because of Covid and not being able to travel out of the USA we had to postpone. Massi had no problems with letting us reschedule and was very responsive throughout all of it. This was our first time in Costa Rica and we are so happy we decided to stay at this home and town. EVERYTHING was so amazing! The home is a private oasis with so many bonuses. We saw so many different kinds of birds, lizards, and monkeys. Our last day there we had a monkey in our backyard. There is lots of wildlife you just have to keep your eye open for it :). The pool was perfect cool us off during the day and felt like bath water at night! There is a lady that does laundry right down the road, her and her son are very nice people. Everyone was really nice that we met. The food was so fresh and delicious every place we tried. And there really is so much in walking distance. We booked a 5hr ATV ride in the Jungle as well and did horseback riding on the beach for sunset. Sonia sent us that extra tour bookings. We will definitely return. Thank you Massi for everything. It was exactly what we needed!! Oh yeah he also added a watch tower for another view of the mountains. Words and pictures don't do it justice this is a must see for yourself❤

We loved our stay at Ocean Melody 2. The house is walking distance from Whale Tail beach and multiple restaurants and grocery stores/shops. The new observation deck was the perfect spot for morning coffee and yoga. Massi was very responsive and flexible as our plans changed. It was the perfect spot for our honeymoon and the only thing I would change would have been more comfortable pillows. We loved our stay and highly recommend this spot if you want to be in a private and quiet area, close to the beach.

We love this little cabin so much we come whenever we can book it. Perfect size for a couple. Plenty of room in the a/c bedroom. Nice size kitchen. Great lanai with a charcoal grill. Very easy to communicate with Massi. He’s a great host. Looking forward to our return visit in a month or so.

First to know is the location is great. Just a few minutes drive from Uvita but far enough that you don’t hear road noise. Tucked back adjacent to a big nature area. Easy access even without a 4x4. Cabin itself is well built. Great cross ventilation with fully screened sliding glass doors and windows and fans plus a/c in the bedroom. Furnished with everything you need from dishes, pots/pans, utensils, even has a toaster and iron. But the real bonus is the nature show in the back yard. We loved sitting on the porch in the big rocking chairs watching the family of monkeys playing in the trees. We will definitely return.

We rented Ocean Melody 1 & 2 for the month of February, 2020. We had 4 adults, 2 kids. The pools were perfect for the kids. The property is private. The neighbourhood is great, and with the bikes we were able to walk or bike for groceries, to restaurants, for ice cream, and to the beach. Throughout our stay we saw a ton of wildlife from our yards: white-faced capuchins, howler monkeys, toucans, iguanas, and many other birds. The house has everything we needed - coffee maker and supplies, rice cooker, blender, pots and pans, microwave, and in Ocean Melody 1- a toaster oven. The general area provided with opportunity for a lot of adventure all within less than an hour's drive. We will definitely miss this place and neighbourhood of Bahia Uvita. Thank you, Massi. the best part of this property was the abundance of wildlife in the back yard. you can't beat the birds and monkey activity while lounging by the pool

I truly enjoyed my stay. Would have preferred better weather. Will definitely do Uvita again.

Wir haben die Tage in dem gut ausgestatteten Haus mit eigenem Pool und schönem Garten sehr genossen! Das Haus hat alles, was man braucht, der sehr private und schöne Garten mit dem eigenen Pool hat eine unschlagbare Aufenthaltsqualität. Abwicklung und Kommunikation bestens.

This place was perfect!! My husband and two kids spent two nights here and we wished we had more time! The kitchen was well stocked, the gardens/trees located on the property will wonderful to enjoy the birds, etc and the best part was the pool and patio! It was so relaxing. Location is close to grocery store and restaurants. The place had one room (that had an air conditioner!!) and the other half of my family slept on the futon. It is a pretty decent walk to the beach, but doable. We had a great time and would stay here again!

Ocean Melody 2 was a beautiful oasis for my wife and I. It had everything you could ask forIt was well equipped and the dip pool was outstanding. It was everything that it was advertised.. The bonus as well was Sonja at Uvita info made all the arrangements for our activities and they were great . We could not have asked for anything better. Highly recommend/

Our stay here was a wonderful experience from the moment we made our choice of this rental. The host was helpful, responsive and great to deal with. The location was private, clean, comfortable and although quiet and off the beaten path within walking distance to many ammenities. Cleaning and pool staff were thorough and efficient. We would definitely recommend this rental!

This was my fourth trip to Costa Rica and by far my favorite. Everyday we were visited by 2 different types of monkeys, and Scarlet Mccaws. The community was also a plus. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The only "downside" was the wifi. It worked when it wanted...but who needs to check email when your in paradise? I will absolutely be back!

This is a lovely place to stay close to the beach (more than 200 meters) but still a nice walk. The birds and monkeys are pretty prolific. If you think you can sleep past dawn, the howler monkeys have a different idea :) The pool was lovely to come back to after a day of sight seeing. Yes there are bugs, its the jungle, but a nice place to discover Uvita from.

Excellent, very quiet, except for the Monkeys at 5am. Would be nice for fresh towels exchanged daily.

Massi was very helpful, everything went well with collecting the keys et cetera.

We enjoyed our stay at Ocean Melody 2. The dip pool provided a refreshing way to cool off, the patio table allowed us to play cards in the eve while listening to the surrounding sounds of nature, and the patio rocking chairs were perfect when enjoying our morning coffee. The unit was extremely clean but was a tad small for a family of four (fortunately we were able to sit outside for much of our stay). Massi was great in terms of correspondence. We followed his recommendation and booked a rafting tour through his wife Sonia — we had an awesome time! From Ocean Melody 2 we walked to the Whale’s Tail (it was much closer than I had expected) & I was amazed by the beauty of the shoreline. We also walked to a nearby Soda and enjoyed a terrific authentic Costa Rican meal. I would definitely recommend this unit to couples or a couple with small children.

We stayed here for a week for our honeymoon, small and basic, but perfectly equipped to be self sufficient. Massi and his wife Sonia provided outstanding service. The private pool is fantastic and the wildlife was something else, a troop of howler monkeys and babies, mackaws every day and a raft of others. We saw more here than in the national parks. Would recommend a stay.

Loved the pool and outdoor area! Relaxed and napped in the hammock several afternoons. Felt very safe, locked gate for the car and security system for the house. Walkable to beach and several restaurants or a short drive to main road. AC only in the bedroom which was fine but had no blanket on the bed, only a sheet which was a challenge for cold natured person like myself while my partner is like a furnace. Shower also cycled between hot and cold which was annoying but not a major issue. Would definitely stay again!

I recently spent three nights at Ocean Melody 2 and it was great. I was there by myself, but I look forward to returning with my wife in the future. Very nice pool and patio area. Kitchen is small but has everything you need. Bed is very comfortable and air conditioner is SUPER efficient, getting the room down to a comfortable sleeping temperature in just minutes. The Bahia neighborhood near Uvita is very low-key and quiet. The entrance to Marino Ballena is about a 10-minute walk from the cabina, and you can easily access the Cola de Ballena from there. There are also several tour providers and restaurants within easy walking distance. Highly recommended. I liked it so much, I'm planning a return visit in two weeks to the other Ocean Melody house!

We loved our stay at Ocean Melody 2... Right from the start, communication was great with Massi... We were even put in touch with the Uvita tourist centre that were also really helpful. The house looks brand new and was perfectly clean on our arrival (including the pool). It is located in a quiet neighborhood (where we felt perfectly safe) with markets nearby. It is about 15 minutes walk from the nearest beach (Marino balenna national park). Also a 5 minutes car ride to Playa Chaman. The house had everything we needed, and was comfy enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. Pool was nice... There are a lot of birds in the yard which made for pleasant morning coffees on the patio. For any traveller looking for great beaches, without the crowd of places like Jaco, Uvita and Bahia are awesome... And Ocean Melody 2 makes a perfect spot to spend a few days. Thank you Massi !
