Amazing views and great location. Close to town and most all of the events we were attending for a wedding. Two issues we had were that the bed was very uncomfortable along with the living room furniture.

This lovely property overlooks ever changing Cruz Bay and is a short walk to town. We found it peaceful and relaxing. Our vacation could not have been better!

This home was exactly as described! The location was perfect, parking was great and we had just the right amount of space for the four of us! The pool was clean and the grounds in general were very lush and relaxing! We can’t wait to book again!!

The walk up Battery Hill is no joke, but just became part of the fun. (Of course we could have taken a taxi). The condo is exactly as pictured and described. Beautiful views off the porch and delightful pool. Having beach chairs and snorkel gear available to borrow was such a nice touch. The condo had everything we could have needed and the staff was friendly and helpful. Would 100% rent this condo again for our next visit to St. John.

This was a hastily planned trip and I am so glad I chose this property? First of all, the view is better than these photos. It's just magical. Pros: Proximity to restaurants (we never needed the car at night); comfy beds; great A/C although we rarely needed it; well equipped kitchen; has everything you need for a day at the beach including ice pads for the coolers; pool with super clean grill; professional and helpful management team to welcome you and give you a tour of the property; level and ample parking is a plus that can not be underestimated if you rent a car/jeep. Also, the owners stayed in touch during all the covid travel requirement changes and were incredibly helpful with the process and answering all other questions I had. Things to be aware of: The hill to the villa is no joke and became my excuse for ordering dessert nightly. Know how to use the 4WD on your car if you are going up in the rain. You can hear music nightly as if you are at the bar! We loved it and hope you will too! If you close the patio door you can barely hear it and they do stop at a reasonable time. In the kitchen, everything is cleared out between guests so there are no spices/condiments other than salt/pepper. If you have a favorite spice, bring it from home. The grocery stores are suffering significant supply chain issues so if you have a favorite coffee, I would bring that also. My daughter and I are already trying to figure out when we can return and we will definitely stay here!

This was exactly what our family was looking for - a relaxing, fun, and safe place to crash after days at the beach. The condo itself was clean, safe, and well-equipped with all that we could ask for. It's located on a hill just above downtown, but the walk to get there is a little longer because of way the road twists and turns. It took us about 8-10 minutes to get to the heart of Cruz Bay. In the morning, we would wake up and enjoy the deck while drinking coffee and eating breakfast, then we were off the beach to enjoy fun, using the beach chairs and cooler provided. After a day of sun and sand, we came back to enjoy the pool and relax before walking downtown for dinner. Battery Hill is almost exclusively all vacation rentals, so it was fun getting to meet different families and people from all over. The staff were so accommodating and kind. They helped to arrange for a sail/snorkel trip out on a boat. Also, they were very patient when our flight was delayed and we missed the ferry. They had our condo spotless and ready for us to relax upon arrival. We will DEFINITELY be staying here again - I don't think we could have found a more perfect and ideal location for our vacation!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sea Grape and would recommend it to anyone who wants to be close to Cruz Bay. My girlfriend and I stayed there for three weeks and it was the perfect home base for us. Needing to work remotely for the first two weeks, it proved to have enough space for both of us to work comfortably. When not working, it was so nice to be able to walk into Cruz Bay for dinner and drinks and not have to worry about driving or getting a taxi. The building facilities (laundry, pool, grill) were nice to have and made the extended stay feel like a second home. Also, air conditioning worked great. If you’re heading to St John, we’d recommend staying close to Cruz Bay and Sea Grape is a fantastic option.-Nick and Lindsay

The home was comfortable, especially the bedrooms - cozy sleep. The patio and view from it were especially nice. The unit is on the small side, kitchenette, patio, and smallish living area. But we spent most of our time outdoors. Be aware that the location of this home is up up up hills, some rather steep so walk into town and back home could be difficult. But we got lots of help from the property manager connecting to taxi service.

Very easy check in. Nice rental managers. Nice apartment and pool. Couldn't get tv to work. Wasn't that important to us. Beautiful views.

This was our third stay at Sea Grape and had a wonderful time, as usual. The condo is very clean and well equipped (even had beach towels and chairs). Great views overlooking Cruz Bay and a very nice pool which is a perfect way to end a long beach day. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary (married on Hawks Nest Beach) and they even had a bottle of champagne in the refrigerator! We always rent a car for exploring the island but it’s a short 5-10 minute walk to town for shopping and dinner so need to search for a parking spot when in town. A few must does in town for us include Café Roma for dinner, St. Brewers tap room, Sun Dog Café, Drink (great open air bar at the bottom of the hill) and Low Key Watersports for diving.

We just returned from the USVI a few days ago, and I am ready to go back to St. John again! The island itself is lovely, you can see pictures of that online - the beaches are absolutely gorgeous, and the water and marine life unbelievable! The villa was perfect for what we needed: 2 bedrooms, three beds, a kitchen big enough to cook in a few times, and a lovely balcony to enjoy the view every morning and evening (we were out enjoying the island during the day). The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom is pretty and nice sized, there were lots of towels, extra blankets; the air conditioners in the bedrooms and kitchen worked perfectly, I liked that there were ceiling fans in all of the rooms, and when we were there we'd leave the a/c off and just open all the windows to enjoy the awesome breeze! We enjoyed snorkeling and then when we were wiped out from being in the sun all day, we would come back to the villa, unload all our belongings, and go down to the pool - the water in the pool was wonderful, and we felt refreshed after a swim (the water was pleasant - not cold, but not too warm; just right). We had a minor issue with the villa's tv cable, and I wouldn't have bothered calling about it, except we wanted to watch the NCAA basketball tournament. The owner called, and we tried to figure it out. I don't know what we did, but something got it working again! (thankyou!) Bianca, our greeter (basically our "concierge") was so helpful and kind. She met us at the ferry, got us into a taxi, and then showed us around the villa. The day we had to leave, we were sitting at the beach near the ferry, and I realized I forgot my camera on the balcony! I called Bianca, and she graciously met me at the villa and let me in to get the camera :) The only thing that some people may need to take into consideration is that these villas are on Battery Hill - it is an actual hill. Walking down to town was easy; the walk back involved two somewhat steep hills, that were thankfully short (about 20 steps each). If you're not in a hurry, they're no big deal ;) [We considered it our exercise for the day, and I am happy to report that I did not gain a pound on vacation!] We decided against renting a vehicle after our first taxi ride :) It probably ended up costing about the same, as we only taxi'd to the beach and then "home," and walked back into town for dinner.
