The sunrise was espectacular

The property was a perfect vacation getaway for us. It is secluded and quiet but close to everything in West End. The hosts were super nice and friendly. The transportation provided to and from the airport was the icing on the cake for us.

We spent two weeks at Casa Amarilla and loved the property. It was well designed and perfect for two people. The yard was beautiful, well maintained and the view on the bay was very relaxing. Restaurants and the half-moon bay were at a walking distance from the property. Deana and Mark were extremely helpful and very patient with our questions. We highly recommend the Casa Amarilla to anyone who want to spend a comfortable and yet quiet time in Roatan.

Secluded and quiet with a beautiful view of the bay. Very comfortable. Close enough to town to walk to bars, restaurants and the beach at West End. Deana and Mark were perfect hosts; very responsive when we had a question, otherwise they gave complete privacy.

We had an absolutely AWESOME stay at Casa Amarillo. Online presentation was 100% accurate. Super clean. Quiet location but easy walk to West End and walking distance from some great restaurants. Betty gave us a great mini tour to help us get acquainted with the area. Deana and Mark were great hosts and all communications were very clear. Enjoyed the tranquility of the patio seating the room had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Roatan and the West End. Thanks for sharing your home with us. We really enjoyed our 3 week stay at Casa Amarilla. It was our 2nd trip to Roatan and we wanted to explore more of the island, dive, and relax. While Casa Amarilla is very close to West End, it is far enough away that you don't feel like you are in town. Very quiet serene landscape with areas for sun & shade with a great dock for stargazing. The space is well appointed and very comfortable. Hosts, Mark & Deana, were great with all sorts of recommendations and were very responsive. We are already making plans to come back & stay again.

We had a lovely stay at Casa Amarilla. It's so quiet and peaceful, it's hard to believe the main tourist area is just a few minutes walk down the road, with lots of great restaurants and shops. Cafe de PaIo and Loretta's are fantastic and just steps away. Wave's Art Gallery is worth checking out for great local art. Lots of places to grab a bite and a drink as you watch the sunset over the water. It was always so nice to come back and relax on the dock after being out all day. Mark and Deana are perfect hosts. I am so glad we finally made it out to Roatan after our 2 year delay.

This is absolutely perfect fir a couples get away. Its very sucluded, with a gorgeous view. The gardens are amazing. We saw iguanas, what his, and chickens on the property. An added bonus is that it's just a few minutes walk to the West End area where all the dive shops, restaurants, grocery stores and souvenir shops are. The West End beach in front of Ginger's is great for a short snorkeling experience. Ginger's and Loretta's have great food. Mark and Deanna are always smiling and gracious host. We can't wait to come back next year.

From the moment we exited the airport upon our arrival, to the ride back to the airport for departure home, we knew we had chosen the right place. Imagine, going to Honduras and relying on people you have never met to pick you up, bring you to the grocery store (with your luggage in their car), and bring you to a home on a the Caribbean? I'm telling you that you are safe and in good hands. Friendly right from the start. The property is nestled on a bay that will take your breath away every single sunrise. I woke up every morning at sunrise and just sat on the deck and loved being there. We spent a lot of time on the patio, relaxing to the water feature and beautiful landscape. The actual property is perfect for a couple, no more. The bed is very comfortable. The cable and internet were more reliable than what we have in Wisconsin. We really didn't use the cable all that much, but it worked great when we wanted to settle in for the night. The kitchen is well equipped. Bottled water is plentiful and appreciated on the property. Note- Cash is King on this island. Since the beginning of the pandemic, many small businesses have opted not to continue their use of credit cards. I was not fully prepared for this. We had enough cash for what we needed, but really could have used more. Our primary reason for the trip was to SCUBA dive, but when we wanted to do other things we had to pass this time. This gives us another reason to return to Roatan.

When my husband and I would walk back to the house from town, it felt like entering a secret oasis. Lots of outdoor space to relax. Inside, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of drawer and counter space to unpack and feel at home. The airport pickup and grocery store stop was an added luxury! Originally we considered staying in a hotel, and we are SO GLAD we chose this place instead. It was perfect 😊

The location is great, the house has its private dock to a really peaceful bay. And it’s 5mins walk distance to the center/busy area of west bay, yet, super quite where it’s at. The room is really comfy, has everything you need for the stay. Deana and Mark are very helpful as well. Will definitely be back next time!

The property and location is perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better host. The grounds are meticulously cared for, with an abundance of well maintained local flowers and trees. You are far enough away from town that you are not disturbed by the nightlife, but close enough to walk there in about 5 minutes. The hosts have a wealth of knowledge about the island, and are eager to share it with you. I can't say enough about the overall experience, except I wish we could have stayed longer. I will be returning as soon as I can, and hopefully, there is a vacancy for me!

Casa Amarilla is a 3 minute walk to Half Moon Bay beach, West End businesses and Seagrape Plantation Dive Shop. The accommodations were secure, private and very comfortable with the comfy king size bed, ceiling fans and AC. We enjoyed the kitchen and its amenities. That is the word that kept coming up during our 2 week stay. The Unit is perfectly equipped to make your stay Comfortable. The location is the perfect blend for West End Walkability vs. Privacy (No Car Needed). The added Bonus of Daena arranging our Pick-Up and Return to and From the Airport (including a Grocery stop at Eldon's) was greatly appreciated. My wife and I are already discussing our return to Roatan for another stay at Casa Amarilla!

When I booked this property, I had not had a vacation for over 2 years. I was looking for somewhere a bit off the beaten path but with good access to town with its many restaurants and beaches. Well, this home provided the quiet and rest I was longing for and yet offered a 5 min walk unto the main street with its shops and dinning experiences. The hosts were kind, considerate and there if you needed anything. The property is truly lovely and is tremendously peaceful with its flowing water cascade and stunning fauna. If you are looking for the perfect restful and peaceful getaway, this is location and the hosts are highly recommended. Thank you both for your kindness and opening up your home to me.

Anyone would love this property! There are so many positives: * It really does take only a minute to get to the beach and the "main drag" of West End. * The outdoor space of the apartment is more than relaxing. It is gorgeous and multifaceted. There is couch seating, lounge seating, table & chair seating, and finally hammock seating (lying down!) * The water feature provides a constant relaxing sound. * The lush greenery and shade make even the hottest days bearable outdoors. * The access to kayaks and paddleboards gives guests various opportunities with water fun beyond beach days. * We are spoiled to king-sized beds; the BR has a very comfortable one. Sleeping there (with the AC) every night was rejuvenating for the next day's adventures. * The bathroom is nice and large with very plush towels. I could go on but will stop here to only say that no one would be disappointed with this space. Deana & Mark are phenomenal hosts who seem happy when guests are happy. What more could one ask for?!
