Clean, good location and a great bed.

Left our unit to go shopping for kitchen pots and pans, sharp knives, and items that should have been there for general and practical use. booked the unit for two weeks, sub quality towels, 2 garbage bags, toilet tissue enough for one week. Had to cover kitchen garbage with cardboard as the container had no lid and the fleas and flies were everywhere. Very outdated kitchen and sense of a place that just was not clean as the floors, walls, etc showed little attention to their upkeep. Would not recommend this unit, we have stayed at evian for two weeks this past march and October of last year, all units surpassed this unit by a large margin.

Not good at all. Smelled of dogs. Very musty. Stayed here last year and it has gone downhill. Rugs filthy. We had to buy carpet freshener. Dryer still not working. No comfortable chairs on patio; folding chairs don’t cut it. We love Evian and have booked for next year but not this unit. Deferred maintenance needs attention.

We really liked the master bedroom. The villa as a whole was crowded with furniture and most everything quite dated. The ice trays were old and ready to break. We love Shipyards and have stayed in Shipyards many times over the past 20 years. Evian 120 gets the lowest score of any Shipyard Unit that we have vacationed in.

Had a great time staying at this property. The only constructive suggestion I would make is to have a map of the location of the property and access to the private beach. It was a lttle challenging to find when arriving in the dark and heavy rain.

Good condo. Good location and good space. The only draw back is the master bed is awful. Very uncomfortable. But the space is good.

Thanks for a great stay. This was our second time to rent this unit for fall break and we really enjoyed it. Will probably be back again next year. Clean, convenient, shady, with all the necessities. THANKS !!

Great Location

The location was great. Vacasa employees were very helpful.

The condo had just what we needed with comfortable beds, kitchen equipment, privacy and dog friendly. Beach access was close and the beach was enjoyable.

We really enjoyed our stay, the unit was great. The only negative was there were a good number of bugs in the unit we had to deal with, probably needed a good exterminator service. Other than that, we were very happy.

Very dirty property. Arrived at 4:20 and housekeeping was just showing up. They cleaned 10 minutes and only used a broom on floors. No other cleaning. I had to wash the blankets and comforter. Dryer doesn't work well at all. Ice maker doesn't work. Bugs Inside. Very damp inside, ac must not circulate well. We live on an island in SC, and this is not normal. Mold all around AC vents in ceiling. Back porch and condo not cleaned. Price is low, however too high for the quality of this condo. Next time I'll pay more elsewhere, just tried Saving my employer $ on my work trip. It was apparent counters in kitchen and bathroom had not been wiped down in months. Thick, hard dust and grime. Hair all over toilets and walls and doors of bathrooms. Rugs need to go, they are disgusting and we didn't want to walk barefoot. Carpets very stained and just filthy. Not sure clean sheets were on the beds as a bag of sheets was left on the floor, so we washed and used them. This condo needs major scrubbing and mold mediation. Regardless of what you email or message Vacasa you only get an auto reply email back. Zero actual communication even if you call. Run from this rental unless you don't care.

Such the perfect place located in the heart of Shipyard Plantation - was able to ride bikes to the beach - there is a pool and tennis courts a stones throw away. The master bedroom had great king sized bed, a great tv and a separate access to the outdoor space. My boys loved their room with 2 beds and really enjoyed the living room with a great sofa and comfy chair. There were board games to play and a nice sitting area just off the dining room which we really enjoyed when the temp was cool enough to hang out there. Overall the perfect spot !

Clean place, friendly staff, fun times, great amenities.

Great place, great location the ease of getting on bike trails is a 10/10. Beds were comfortable, shower strong and hot, the kitchen was working with all our meal preparation, (pots and pans need replacement due to worn and scratched Teflon surfaces). Whole Foods Fresh market publix Walgreens dollar store etc nearby.. Along with great places to eat out, Sea Shack, Bella Itilia and more.

Evian is a beautiful setting and great location. Close to beach, pool, and tennis. This villa is comfortable but is dated and could use cleaning and/or new carpets in the bedrooms. Beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. Back patio is too small to enjoy outdoor living. Uninviting! Basically no view at all. The dryer has to run for At Least 2 hours to effectively dry completely.
We did love that our dog was welcomed and it was on one level and no steps involved. However, when the above unit was rented, we definitely knew it, but it wasn’t too bad.
We have had no problems with Vacasa and made the best of our stay, but we will not be returning to this villa because we missed having an outdoor area to enjoy on beautiful days. DeeT.

Went for the New Year’s weekend. Love you weather and terrific places to eat and hang out. The condo was a three out of 10. Very old and outdated and rather dirty… The shower got water all over the floor. I doubt if I’ll stay there again

Excellent location and condo is appointed well. Evian is a beautiful community . VACASA responded immediately to any questions we had. We are looking forward to our next stay ! .

Just spent a long weekend and enjoyed it immensely. Great surroundings, easy beach access from parking area, condo was well provisioned and clean. Will make this a yearly retreat.

We LOVE Hilton head and booked this trip on a whim. Loved the community, the pool, and the private beach access. Only complaint I would have is that the master bedroom is HOTTTTT. Wish there was a fan or I would have known to bring one. Overall experience was great.

The condo was dated, and could use some updates to stay current with the market. Initially it smelled musty, and it could use a deep clean, as there were some cobwebs in the windows. It would have been nice if a map of the community was provided. As we never did find the beach access within The community. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for our family of 4 plus 2 dogs. Wish the coffee pot was bigger, and the dry functioned better, it would not dry our towels. For the price though, it was a nice stay.

Everything was great. We will stay again for sure. Only minor negative was a faint musty smell, possibly from pets. But overall great experience!

This rental was ok: it is a bit dated and shows the wear of years of renters in some spots. But if you can overlook some wear and some slightly outdated elements, it's fine. Having a washer and dryer available, and two full bathrooms, was really helpful for our family of four. We loved the location: very close to area restaurants, beaches, bike trails, etc. However, we would have liked some more information on what amenities were available to us and how to access them. For example, we did not know that we had access to the beach from within the community; we just happened to find it on the map while looking to see how to get to the beach. It would have been nice to have a list of amenities available to us, and how to access them. There was very little communication.

My family enjoyed our week stay at this condo. It was clean and convenient to get to the beach and Coligny square where restaurants and shopping are. We also loved the condo being pet friendly as we take our dogs with us every year. Also we were very close to pool and tennis.

Peaceful, Beautiful Setting...Condo was clean and comfortable with pretty decor and many amenities. We will definitely visit again soon!

I want to start off with saying, we love Shipyard and love the Evian location so when I was looking for VRBO's and this property came up I was excited. You can tell by the pictures the place is outdated which really is no problem but the place lacked in the cleanliness department. The condo very run down, the baseboards and walls are filthy and the couch, chair, and living room rug had dog hair all over it when we entered. The housekeepers clearly did not vacuum, as it was clear when we saw the dog hair everywhere and the master bedroom carpet had dirt all over the backdoor area. Thankfully, the place had a vacuum so we did a good once over before settling in. The ad says the fridge has an ice maker, which is needed for a beach vacation but it doesn't work so we had to buy a bag of ice as they only had two ice cube trays provided. The outdoor patio could be lovely but they provided a table and cheap folding chairs that were uncomfortable. Good luck if anyone is living above you as you won't sleep. We had a large family stay above us while we were there and you can hear every foot step and conversation they have. By our check out date we were happy to go and we only stayed for a few days. With how much we paid for the condo, it would have been nice if the owners showed a little TLC for their place. We will not stay here again.

I loved nothing! The upstairs people were loud! There was a big spider crawling on the bathroom floor! Place smelled!

We had to get keys from a remote office drive to the property where we received car passes at a gate which were incorrectly dated. We were not informed of how to access amenities only given an “emergency line” to call for questions. This was bothersome as it was a short vacation and we spent a lot of time figuring things out. Then we had to check out by 10:00 am and return keys to remote office. The cleaning lady showed up at 9:30 and acted surprised when we told her we would be out inn15 minutes.Besides all this location was great with good beach access once we figured it all out.

We stayed for almost 3 months during the winter 2020. Had to leave early because of covid19 mid March. There were a few issues that the property manager, Richard, dealt with ASAP. The one thing that we had looked forward to was an outdoor grill that was not provided. Also if there are people in the villa above it is very noisy. Luckily it was only the owners that came just a few times. Had there been people there for the 3 month duration I would have given a lower rating. Just a heads up if you are a light sleeper and can hear everything. Overall happy with our stay and the people at Vacasa. To the owners maybe an update in the decorating from the 90s would be needed to keep up with other rentals.
