1 star off of cleanliness because of all of the hair found in and around the bathroom. Otherwise the place was fine and we had a beautiful place for our layover in hana.

We had 2 different reservations for our party— both of which had been paid for ($$$ each) almost 8 months in advance. When we got there, they only had 1 room for us. The manager on duty responded promptly and ended up finding a second room in a nearby resort. It’s just hard to imagine how you can pay that much money for something and get there and not have a room to stay in. The upgrade to the resort was nice— however we were put in a 1 king room, when we had originally reserved a 2 queen room. (There were 4 of us.) When checking out of the resort, the resort demanded that we pay $35 per cot (2) that they had to bring to the room so everyone had a place to sleep. The other room we had at Hana Kai was okay— it was sufficient. There were kids around and very little sound was shielded by the walls. Also no television to drown out any sound. Overall, meh.

We came here in the hopes of getting well needed rest, but instead got a blaring alarm in front of our unit that went off all morning from 6am until almost 830am! We deserve either a refund or at least a discount for the unfair experience.

They did construction on the condo above us til after 11 and started back up this morning before 7 ! Hammering and such ! Extremely irritating. ! And online it says 4 pm check in and at the front desk there is a sign that says 2 pm check in . I will never stay here again or suggest in to friends we come often to Maui and our friends . I’m disappointed considering it’s a clean and cute condo in a great location but the mess up with checking in and the construction leaves me very upset .

We really like the room, very spacious. You can see the ocean and hear the waves breaking on the beach. Parking slots are a little tight, OK for a medium size car.

Easy to rent. Misleading photos of view, no ocean view like picture indicated. Room cleaning was great.

You were going to pay A high price for the location at this place but it is bright, clean, quiet, and the shampoo and conditioner smell divine. We loved taking our time the previous day on the road to Hana and stopping at several places we would not of been able to had we done the whole road in one day. And staying here made it so that we were the first ones on the PIpiwai trail and at Wailua Falls

The rental was clean and comfortable. There were some mosquitos in the room (probably unavoidable in this area for a room with large doors going directly outside), but the space was nice and airy. Quiet spot for resting on a trip to Hana.

Place was nice and cozy, 2 min walk to a rocky beach. Room was very comfortable, and kitchen had plenty of supplies. There's a BBQ outside by the parking lot. Great views in AM to watch sunrise. Very quiet and quiet hours are in effect (I don't recall from around 8-10pm until around 8am). You can walk to center of Hana (where the gas station and 2 general stores are), takes about 15 min. Pictures are real, what you see is what you get. Would definitely stay again!

Unfortunately our view was blocked by another building.

Everything was just great, but it did get quite warm during the night even with all of the fans on. Kitchen was well equipped and the condo was very clean and tidy.

My only regret is that we only stayed here for one night. Clean, beautiful, and relaxing--walked outside and watched the sunrise from the shore just outside. Thank you for a lovely experience!

We only stayed one night as I was on business. The room has some nice upgrades like the vanity in the bathroom, the shower, and the kitchen appliances. However, the mattress is very well worn and caves to the middle, the sheets on the bed had stains on them, the "curtains" also had a lot of stains on them, a few bugs (to be expected its Hana), towels are very thin/well/worn, etc. The property is in a great location and the view is very nice. Also, the staff was very friendly and the property is very quiet.

So happy we decided to stay at Hana Kai Maui. While the property is not fancy it is a wonderful place to relax and just enjoy yourself. Words can’t describe how great it was to fall asleep listening to the sounds of the ocean and to wake up to those same sounds in the morning.
