We love out stay at Toddy. Kids are off the dock before we unpack. Liam and Susan are so nice and respond quickly to our questions or needs. 6 years coming, and I hope we have more.

This was an absolutely beautiful getaway spot! We love Toddy Pond but have never stayed at this place before, but we hope to come back! Well-stocked kitchen, toys for littles, easy access to the lake, and shallow areas for the kids to splash. We used the kayaks every day, and enjoyed the peaceful evenings! Thank you!

Stonehill cottage was the perfect place to unplug with my family and get back into nature! The home is super comfortable and welcoming with everything you need, including tons of fun toys for littles, for hours of entertainment! The view can’t be beat and we loved jumping into the kayaks and taking a paddle around the pond! The location is perfect, not too close to busy tourists areas but only a short drive to Acadia. So happy we found this little gem in Maine!

We stayed there with intention to visit Acadia park but we shortened our visit of Acadia to enjoy the lake and did some kayaking instead. We would give 5 points if we had better communication with the property owner. Normally we get owners respose much quicker if something is needed. This time it was over an hour, and in the situation we were in we needed it much quicker. Still we recommend to stay in this place. Also, Google maps does provide right directions to the house, Apple works better, but you need to use direction from VRBO.

Stonehill is in a beautiful spot away from any highway. It’s a typical scenic Maine camp location I grew up with, but more comfortable and modernized. Roomy and well equipped. Great place to celebrate our 50th anniversary and host family visiting from around the area

what a great find! the house itself was huge and just as pictured, with an incredible view from most every room. everything we could have needed was on site, including all kinds of water toys and floats, and a cabinet full of games for rainy days. susan was so responsive and easy to communicate with. will be back!

This house was so comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. Loved waking up to the view of the lake and loved watching the magnificent sunsets. My boys had such a great time with the paddleboards and kayaks.

Stonehill Cottage is an outstanding property. Extremely comfortable, clean, spacious, perfectly equipped for just about any cottage activity you can imagine; even rainy days. Susan was great host and very accommodating.

At the end of the long dirt road you arrive to a charming home, right on gorgeous Toddy Pond. House is decorated with antique cottage style, bedrooms are clean and comfortable, deck, dock and swim area are West facing so warm/hot if sunny for most of the day. Ceiling fans in bedrooms helped on hot nights. House has all water activity needs : multiple types of boats and life jackets, floats etc. house sits on a hill side, so if you do have a toddler or older people in your group, it could be a little difficult to manage the up and down to the lake. Susan was helpful and house is homey, loved and perfect for a family getaway.

This is the second time we have stayed in this property. It’s a fantastic place near the water. Susan was a great host.

This is such a wonderful home. The location on Toddy Pond is spectacular - the sunrises and sunsets and the loons serenading you can't be beat. Quick drives to multiple local attractions (Acadia, Stonington, Blue Hill, and more), but be sure to save plenty of time for relaxing on Toddy Pond.

Enjoy our stay at Stonehill. The lake was awesome and my entire family enjoyed swimming and using kayaks. We enjoyed relaxing and going to Fort Knox and observatory along with trip to Acadia. Maine is great and the house perfect for our needs. We will be back to Maine again

Stone hill Cottage is really beautiful - the pictures don’t quite capture how wonderful it is. The lake was so much fun for everyone and it was fun to relax and be together. The house itself is spacious and well decorated - there were great spaces to read a book or enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sunset. All in all we would absolutely go again and highly recommend this cottage!

Really nice lakeside house and location! Clean, spacious, well-kept. Spent a weekend here in early October. Like many places in rural Maine, it was somewhat challenging to find the house (be sure you read the written instructions the owner sends you! Even with that it was a little bit of an adventure), but well worth it.

This was our 4th visit to this beautiful cottage. Toddy Pond is a wonderful, peaceful lake in Maine that we adore. The house was impeccable upon arriving and we enjoyed our stay. The owners have added access to their kayaks which was great. This location is perfect for exploring Acadia National Park, Fort Knox, Camden and much more.

This was the perfect vacation spot for our family. The house is well appointed, large dining table and living area. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook a meal. We cooked on the grill and enjoyed breakfast on the deck while listening to loons. The lake had a shallow entry for my grand daughter and she caught her first fish from the dock. The three bedrooms and bathrooms were roomy and comfortable. Some of us stayed behind to kayak and some of us headed to Acadia to hike. We ended our days by the campfire listening to loons while we shared stories of our day. Wonderful memories for the memory bank Susan is a wonderful host. We will be back next year.

My husband and I took our three boys to Maine expecting them to love Acadia National Park, fresh lobster, and the beautiful coastline. But Stonehill Cottage will be what fills their memories of our trip to Maine! While we certainly loved all that Maine has to offer, we loved our time relaxing on the dock, swimming, paddling, and watching beautiful sunsets most of all! The house itself was set up perfectly for guests, was comfortable, well organized, and had everything we needed to feel relaxed and “at home”. Susan and Liam provided great recommendations for local restaurants and spots to visit. The location was great for going out to explore Maine but getting our boys in the car was the challenge. Why leave the perfect spot right there on Toddy Pond?!?! It really was a lovely vacation, and we are already wishing we were back! Thank you for sharing Stonehill Cottage with us. We cannot wait to return!

Very nice vacation rental. Quiet, comfortable, and roomy. Enjoyed the evenings by the lake at the fire pit listening to the loons. We probably spent less time here than we anticipated due to our daily visits to nearby towns and Acadia. Nicely situated for Mt. Desert Island and surrounding towns. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for solitude and relaxation.

Perfect stay! Stonehill had all the comforts of home and more. Clean and comfortable, with well stocked kitchen (even with common spices), linens, extra blankets/pillows, and plenty of towels. It was obvious that the owner, Susan, put serious thought into how to make guests feel more at home and anticipate ever traveler's needs on a Maine vacation, including a guide with dining and hiking suggestions. We appreciated having access to the kayaks, canoe, and paddle board -- used them everyday! Boat dock worked fine for our 16' boat, and there was a paved boat ramp just up the lake. Both largemouth and smallmouth bass kept us busy when fishing. Loved the fire pit! Washer/dryer worked fine. We had no problems with cell service; however, there is limited data available using the wifi. Very quiet and peaceful location with beautiful sunsets. Thank you so much for allowing us to form wonderful family memories at Stonehill! We highly recommend.

We would highly recommend Stonehill Cottage to anyone traveling to Maine. The house and property are simply amazing. From the privacy and spaciousness of the house to the relaxing waterfront and the sound of the loons..... this house has it all. We had six people on this trip and never felt crowded while we were there. Mornings were spent sipping coffee on the private dock and evenings had us gathered around the fire pit watching the sun set over Toddy Pond. In addition, the fully stocked kitchen, outdoor porch with a gas grill, the kayaks and fishing equipment all add up to make this house is as close to "home away from home" as it gets. We are looking forward to another stay there.
