The house was perfect for our extended family gathering. We all cook and the kitchen could not have been more well appointed. We made use of the big table for meals, the mid-sized table for puzzles and the deck was great too! The way the house is laid out worked well when the kids (or grown-ups) needed naps- the rest of us did not have to make any great effort to be quiet. And being able to walk to Skaket Beach was the icing on the cake!

A rambling old place less than 10 minute walk to Skaket Beach. Plenty of beach chairs and other beach equipment. A fantastic and well stocked kitchen, great art and not your traditional selection of cape knick-knacks. Enough sitting places for big dinners and multiple places for a mixed-age party to hang out together and separately. Hosts are great - helpful but value their privacy. Only downside (and the upsides more than make up for it!) is there is very little internal privacy in the house - you can hear everything going on upstairs downstairs and vice versa.

This was such a wonderful house for our week at the cape. Perfect for our children and grandchildren. There was plenty of room for 6 adults and 4 kids ages 6 and under. The location near Skaket Beach was perfect. The house was so comfortable and so full of interesting art and books and music. The kitchen is amazing!! We have only good things to say! We would love to come back again. Thank you Bill!

I have never walked into a more intriguing and interesting home. A massive & organized kitchen that open up to a huge entertaining area. Perfect for daily meals and impressing guests. The owners are antiques dealers which explains the intriguing peices at every turn. We continued to discover unique items and books throughout our stay. So many positive aspects to the home, deck, outdoor shower, beach supplies. This house is not for a modern condo person.

My family and I were lucky enough to have a wonderful week at this very large home which was a 7-10 minute walk to Skaket Beach ( my grandchildren loved it). The location of this home is close to EVERYTHING which made it wonderful. My family had a wonderful week making wonderful memories. Thank you Bill!

We loved staying at this unique home — the host was very helpful and the property was perfect for our group of 9. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked and we were just minutes from Skaket Beach.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The house is so accommodating to a large family group, and we loved the care and attention that the owners have taken in creating this unique home with an antique feel and all the modern conveniences. It is equipped with everything that our family of cooks needed to create and enjoy many meals together. And, the location walking distance to Skaket Beach can't be beat. We recommend it highly!

The house was perfect for our vacation needs (including being able to separate the teens from the adults so everyone could enjoy their time/sleep). The location is great. You can either walk 5 min to the beach, or, if you have a lot of stuff, quickly drop off people/stuff and walk back within 10 minutes. The shed at the house is FILLED with tons of beach items (chairs, coolers, floats, skim boards.. you name it!). There is ample dining space, though I did wish at times there was a couch/comfortable seating near in the kitchen area instead of the two tables. There is a large living room farther away, but we spent most of the time in the kitchen area (because it was awesome)! Bill and Mary were great hosts... They were there if you needed them, but otherwise let you just enjoy their house and left you alone. Thanks for a wonderful stay! Lisa

Our family had a lovely stay… we love the house and have stayed there a few times. The location is perfect! Cooking breakfast is a joy!!!

The home was perfect for us, a large family, and was as advertised. Bill was gracious and very accommodating. Location was quiet, secluded off the road and very close to the beach...great location. We will certainly be returning!

We had the most wonderful week on Cape Cod. It was in large part due to this charming, magical home. Bill gave us the warmest of welcomes, and we hope to make it back in coming years.

Walking distance to a tide beach that is great for children and exploring and within easy distance to Nauset for those who want the National Seashore. We really appreciated the easy check in/out. We feel we can’t rate this fairly . . . We did not get to enjoy its amenities due to a family death during the trip. We were there to sleep only. We appreciate the ease and location of our stay. Thank you!

The house was even better in person! 8 of us just spend 7 days there and the house was perfect! Lots of space and amazing kitchen. Highly recommend it.

This house provided a perfect base for our 2-family, 2 week vacation. Short walk to Skaket Beach where you will see amazing sunsets, and enjoy the snack bar!! Home is VERY well supplied with beach gear - chairs, umbrellas, rolling carts, floats, boards... plus with all linens supplied we only needed to bring bath towels. Kitchen is also VERY well supplied - we found everything we needed! Decor is eclectic and fun - tons of books, a game closet, plenty of sitting areas and two large tables in the kitchen area. Every room has a window air conditioner. Home is in peaceful setting with bunnies and birds all around, yet a short drive to groceries and CVS and many restaurants. Owners live in separate house on property but we didn’t see them. However, when needed they stepped up - provided us with a blowup mattress for extra visitors and even mailed forgotten items after our stay! We would highly recommend this lovely home!

Great location enough space to move around

The layout of the house worked out well for our party of 5 adults and 2 kids, and we all loved the post and beam architecture. There were rooms where the whole family could gather, but also charming nooks in which to sit in and read. The kitchen and dining areas were well-equipped and spacious. The window AC units kept us all cool and comfortable. Orleans is our favorite town on the Cape, and the proximity to Skaket Beach was a real bonus. We give this house and property an A+.

Everyone from our group of 10 enjoyed the house. The highlight was the kitchen, both as a place to cook but also as a place to entertain guests around the two islands. Location was outstanding with the beaches, Orleans center and the bike path a very short distance away. The only minor area for improvement would be the bed mattresses which would benefit from an upgrade as some of them feel a bit beaten up.

We had an amazing time staying at Bill’s home in Orleans. It is very private and close the beach. While we don’t usually spend much time indoors when at the Cape the kitchen is as advertised and we cooked most nights so we could enjoy the house. Bill was very responsive if we needed anything but otherwise respected our privacy. Highly recommend this Orleans rental. Thanks Bill!

The house was amazing - more beautiful than the pictures. It was large and spacious but also homey and comfortable. It was a very short walk to the nearby beach. We loved it.

We just spent a week here with our adult children and their kids. Total Six adults, a toddler and a one year old. There was plenty of room for all of us. The place is a roomy 3,000 sq foot home that is well equipped. There are wonderful areas inside and outside for eating, sitting and hanging out. The kitchen is amazing. Rail trail access is .5 miles away. Beach is .4 mile walk or easy drop off or bike ride. Plenty of places to eat or pick up at nearby seafood shacks or full service restaurants. Owners live next door and we only saw them upon arrival when Bill gave us a helpful tour of the house. Some things like a pack and play crib, beach chairs, and umbrellas were there to our surprise. We had no rain so we never used the extensive supply of board games at the house.

We liked the space, eclectic decor and most of all, the kitchen! The location is convenient to walk or bike to Skaket Beach or town. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and they respect your privacy.

Great kitchen for our gang who loves to cook together. Good pots, pans, stove, grill, room! Lots of spaces. Wonderful outdoor shower. Walking distance to Skaket is great so we can come and go whenever we want. With a larger group, we don't have to all move in the same direction at the same time. We completely enjoy biking on the bike path, up to Welfleet and down to Chatham. Also, nice ride to Nauset Beach.

This house is the most awesome place we have ever stayed at Cape Cod (and we've been going there over 25 years!). The house is very charming, spacious and ideal for a family! We had 8 people and there was so much room for all of us to have our own space. The kitchen is filled with every cooking utensil you could ever imagine. Bill was very nice and helpful but not intrusive. The house is the perfect distance from Skaket Beach. There is nothing bad at all that I can even say about the property. We all just loved it!!!!!

This is our 8th year and we still love the accommodations.

Our family has stayed here 3 years in a row. We love the size and layout of the house. There are many bathrooms and all amenities one can need. Our privacy is always respected by the owners. My greatest experiences are often located in the kitchen, not just a warm,welcoming space, but the stove is to die for.

This has to be the best house we've rented on the Cape. There was plenty of room in the house for six kids under 10 and 8 adults. We were not on top of each other. And having three beautiful bathrooms really was a plus. The kitchen was huge and had just about anything you could ever want in a kitchen. When we arrived we found the house to be very clean. (We left it that way too). The location was fantastic. Just a short walk to the best beach on the Cape (in our opinion). There was not a rock in the refreshingly warm water for miles. We found the owner to be a very pleasant man. He even helped us unload our car when we arrived. We would definitely recommend this house to our family and friends. We're hoping to rent it again next year as a matter of fact.
