Home is exactly what we were looking for during our short stay as we were here to visit family. Thoroughly enjoyed the space.

This property was the perfect jumping off point for our time on the Hilo side. We were close to everything we planned to do. We even hiked to Shipman’s Beach, something we have never done in past trips to the island. Great hike.

We stayed at property for a womens conference we were attending. Place was beautiful, spacious, clean, quiet. Loved every part of it and would love to stay here again.

Had a great stay. The house was welcoming and relaxed. Took a lot off our vacation plate and saved money with being able to store and cook own meals and wash laundry. Thank you we will be back when we come again

It was my 1st time staying at a VRBO. We were 6 adults and it was a comfortable stay for 4 days. We did not have any issues. The owner was very nice as he came to introduce himself after a day and asked if we had any questions.

We felt well taken care of this clean, spacious home, tastefully decorated and well stocked kitchen. Water supplied was not sufficient for our stay and the mattresses and pillows need a major upgrade. Other than that, we were happy with our stay!

This place was everything and more then we hoped for. The way it is set up with one bedroom and bathroom having a separate entrance worked perfectly for us as we were travelling with my in-laws. The house had everything we needed and it came in so handy not having to buy beach toys, chairs etc. Roxanne was always very quick to answer any questions we had and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone thinking about staying in the area. We certainly hope to come back very soon.

The best I can describe this was like staying at your aunt and uncles. Was it as clean as a nice hotel? No. But it was good enough and it felt like I was staying in a family members guest house. The owners were very nice and extremely responsive. We had no issues and loved our stay. Our kids got loud at times but it wasn’t a problem. There were blocks and games, coloring and little toys for the kids to play with as well as floats, beach toys chairs coolers and such! The location was amazing. Everything in Hawaii is a bit of a drive but this was very central. We loved the water cooler added for us to use as well! Over all we are happy with the stay and would come back. Thanks for having us!

I did not give this rental a 5-star review because I believe there are a few improvements the owner can make for this rental to be even better, a hidden gem rental. Overall, the rental was as described. Our family (comprised of 4 adults and 1 child) really enjoyed staying here. My son loves all of the fruit trees, especially the banana because the owner allows us to pick as much as we want. He also enjoyed just out playing in the front yard, trying to catch the gecko and frogs. Roxanne and Adam were very accommodating, and quickly answer many of our questions. You'll have everything you'll need to be comfortable there. Here are a few suggestions to make this even better: 1) As of the previous review, there is a large stain on the mattress over. Although it is on the mattress cover, it's still caused an uncomfortable opinion so replacing it might be best. 2) The bed in the main bedroom could be replace or look at. It seems to be unsturdy, and everytime I get off or move it would creek and make loud sound (I'm a 5'2'' - 120lbs female). All of the pillows were really flat...required multiple one to get comfortable. 3) Most of the kitchen cookware were worn down, they could be replace since once the nonstick coat are scratch, they're not safe to use. In addition, they can use a good deep cleaning. 4) Water pressure for the shower is really low...maybe remove the flow restriction pin the shower head, or get a better one 5) Thorough cleaning under and inside of the cabinets (on the side of the refrigerator) This may seem like a long list, but overall, we really like this place and will definitely rent again given another chance to visit the Big Island, Hawai'i

The house was exactly perfect for us. Neighborhood was nice. Loved seeing the bananas growing in the yard. Only bad thing when getting ready to leave was while I pulling off the sheets from the bed I noticed a bad stain on the mattress protector! All in all everything else was good

We are 2 married couples traveling together and stayed at this home for 5 nights. The home was clean, comfortable and well equipped. It was a great place to relax and enjoy one another's company after long days exploring the island. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The sounds of nature were wonderful to listen to in the evenings as we ate dinner, relaxed, played games and watched a few movies. The split bedroom set up was nice so we had our own private areas. The home isn't far from Volcano National Park (which was very nice given we spent 12 hours there!), easy drive into Hilo but be sure to bring what you need when you get to the house....the grocery store isn't close. The Walmart in Hilo was the most affordable place to pick up groceries. Definitely out in the "country" as far as conveniences go. The home had beach gear available for use which made it nice when we went to Richardson beach (in HIlo) to snorkel. This home (along with most homes south of Hilo) uses a "water catchment" system for water (which you may not want to drink) but the hosts have bottled water available for drinking. If we were traveling to the Hilo side of the island, we would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was excellent for exploring Hilo and surrounding area, and the property was well stocked with beach paraphernalia. We would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic

Enjoyed our time here very much. Roxanne responded rapidly to my questions. The kitchen is great, the beds comfy, the dryer did it's job-very necessary for drying towels after a shower. We found plenty of shampoo, conditioner and bodywash. You really don't need to bring your own. We found, many condiments in fridge, also. Thanks Roxanne for a great stay!

House had everything we needed. The girls enjoyed the yard and wished we hadn't planned so much time away from the house. They thought the plants, tree frogs, tiny lizards, birds and snails were amazing. If you don't like animals, don't worry, they were away from the house and you had to search to find them. Fun to stay in such a beautiful yard!

Perfect place for our family vacation on the Big Island! Spacious, well-stocked throughout, quiet and private location, and very reasonably priced! The hosts provided several nice extras, including commercial drinking water. Close to many amazing sights on the Big Island. We loved our stay and hope to return soon!

Roxanne was very prompt in answering questions by email and phone. It was a perfect place for us and our two nephews: close to the things we wanted to do, perfect for relaxing during down time and playing bridge. Clean, basic and perfect for the evenings. It was so much more relaxing to be in a house versus an apartment!!

This location was in a quiet neighborhood in Keaau, Hawaii. House was very clean and had easy access to Volcano National Park, Hawaii Botanical Gardens, and Hilo within reasonable driving distance. I would definitely recommend it as a place to stay for a group on the Big Island!

Great property! Clean & nice home and owner is on site if you need to get a hold of, which we didn't for anything. No problems at all. They have a hot and cold water dispenser which was awesome. We will definately stay here again. Mahalo Roxanne & Adam!

Well stocked and equipped for my family. House was super clean. Loved the privacy of separate bedroom. Host was quick with responses. Highly recommend. Can’t say enough how pleased we were with this property.

We loved being on the less crowded side of the big island, near Volcano NP and all that Hilo has to offer. The home had everything we needed from snorkeling gear to chocolate (!!), lots of room, laundry, tons of towels. I've never used VRBO and was pleasantly surprised with this clean home with its cozy atmosphere. The hosts were easy to communicate with. Thanks!!

We had a wonderful stay here. The rental was fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, and everything else that you might need. We really appreciated that they had things like bug spray, beachs items, and drinking water! The owners were readily available and while being close by you would never know they were there.

My family (husband, wife and 3 kids ages 12-16) just spent a week here as we explored the Hilo side of the island. The vacation rental was clean & comfortable and a great jumping off point for our daily adventures. The home worked great for us and I would definitely stay here again if I’m on this side of the island. Thanks Roxanne!

Felt like home. The owners were available at all times for any needs. The area is a great place. No trouble at all. Owners are open to what they could possibly need or have for future stays.

We had a group of 5 here for the week. We had such a nice stay at the property. Very beautiful and relaxing, and a short drive to Hilo. All the amenities were just what we needed. The only thing that was disappointing - and this is not a reflection of the owners but rather the neighbors, was the dog living in a cage next door right across from our porch. The dog was never let out once during our stay. And only had a small concrete area to stay in. Pretty sad and definitely wasn’t fun to see.

We stayed here for over a month and it was great! The 3rd bedroom is detached, which makes it a great office if you are working remotely. The internet is fast and reliable. We had 3 people on microsoft teams meetings at the same time without issues. The hosts are very nice and respond quickly. We ate delicious papayas from the tree in the yard, but the bananas and pineapple stubbornly refused to ripen before we left.
