Location was superb, a minute of so walk to the beach.Information given as to local eateries and places to visit as well as the history of the air b&b were helpful and gave a personal touch.

From a personal perspective I found the mattress rather hard...but this did not prevent me from enjoying my stay

The room was lovely, everything you needed to sit back and relax. Amazing products and decorated super tasteful.

The shower pressure was just not enough.

The location was great for where we intended going. Parking on site was a definite plus as parking is the area was limited. There was a “lounge” area with a good size tv, comfy sofa and facilities for tea/coffee and a fridge.

Slight negative, we could hear every footstep and conversation with the upstairs guests.

There was an issue,but it was being sorted almost immediately. But the phone number given wasn't accepting incoming calls,so had to message.

Room was gorgeous, large and airy, with a separate space for relaxing. Was definitely excellent value in that regard. It was also a very short watch to steps down to the beach, and in a very quiet relaxed area, but within easy access to everything. There was also car parking. If it weren't for the problems below, I would have given it a 10.

There were instructions on how to warm the shower water up. Basically, leave the water for 2 minutes and only then change the temperature. Unfortunately, despite numerous attempts, and trying various 'angles', we never got a warm shower. It was latish when I had my first shower, so I chose to write a (very polite/relaxed) message via the Booking App asking for additional instructions, with the intention of having a hot shower in the morning. There was no response (in fact, I just checked, a week later and still no response) and because there was no reception/anyone available at the lodging, we couldn't get it sorted. The owners might say that we should have called, but checking messages (and responding) should be a minimum if you have no reception facility. Additionally, the water flow in the cistern wasn't working, so it needed fixing each time you flushed. I doubt that everyone would have known how to fix it. Collectively, in terms of waiting for the water to heat, and the problem with the cistern, we wasted a stupid amount of water.

from the moment we walked in the door, I loved, everything the gorgeous comfortable bed, the lovely bathroom with lovely shower, with the added bonus of lovely seating area to watch the television plus a good size fridge to chill a couple of bottles of wine. Excellent, all round couldn’t have been better

no breakfast provided or expected. facilities very good. room was rather cold in the morning and fan heater rather limited use. no wardrobe. a comfortable easy chair/ armchair would be good.

Great place to stay and great value for money... it was just what we wanted and made the short break perfect, thank you. PS, obviously listen to customer feedback, there was a mini fridge and a little heater in the room, which was a nice touch given it was a cold day and we fancied a drink after a walk along the beach

The Mariners Suite was absolutely beautiful. Great location with parking and lovey surroundings, and helpful hosts on hand if needed. The suite had everything we could’ve needed and was beautifully kept. Great little special touches too, with the story of the house, tea and coffee and toiletries provided. Couldn’t have been more perfect a stay, will definitely be returning.

it is beautiful suite but the bed was very uncomfortable, and the shower had barely any pressure (not sure if it is something to do with the area)

A great location for West Mersea, beautifully decorated and very comfortable and we appreciated the parking and the ability to leave the car there when we went to explore. A lovely place to relax and stay.

The heating did not come on until about 5ish (which is fair enough) and it was a chilly day so we did get quite cold sitting in the lounge area before the heating came on. Just a snuggly extra blanket or throw would have made all the difference. The shower was lovely and warm but had quite a weak flow.
