We loved our family reunion at this comfortable house on Lake Champlain. The property manager was extremely helpful and quick to respond to our questions. The kitchen was the best equipped of anywhere we’ve stayed in the past. We hope to return!

Great place to stay with a large group. Anything you could possibly need was provided. Loved the fire pit and sunsets while lounging in the Adirondack chairs in the quiet neighborhood.

There are so many great things about this house and property but some people may not like the "rustic" nature of it so be advised. I always think it's best to have the correct expectations! The location is perfect(close to the bike path, causeway, airport park, and beach) and the yard and deck were so pleasant. We loved the swing! The sunsets were incredible and it was very nice to look out almost all the windows and see the water. The screened porch was great for the gang eating together. The kitchen is well equipped, I loved the coffee/tea "station". The house is definitely rustic in that there is little paneling or sheetrock over the studs leaving wires and nails exposed. Maybe not the best place for young children? The three upstairs bedrooms were spacious and comfortable but the walls between them were not to the ceiling so that light and sound went between them all. This was a little problematic for our group as we had little kids and night owls together. This place is really quite unique and has so many great things about it, I hate to say anything "negative" but I feel it may not please some folks especially given the rather high rent for the week.

Barney Point is a unique experience-a charmingly rustic home with ALL the amenities needed for a relaxing and fun vacation! The expansive views from the front deck, side screened-in porch, and back yard are stunning! You feel like you are in a very remote location, yet there are so many fun activities nearby. The world-famous Rail Trail bike path is just down the street-great for all fitness levels in the family!. We enjoyed sailing in Mallett's Bay, kayaking/swimming at North Beach, and eclectic Burlington/Winooski restaurants. Still, the highlight was relaxing at the house with the breeze and the gorgeous views-very therapeutic!

Amazing sunsets by the outdoor fire, family dinner gatherings on the screened porch, and lovely walks on the nearby Causeway were just a few of the highlights of our stay. Easy access to the beach, bicycle paths, Burlington, superb views of the mountains in NY, beautiful sunsets were all much enjoyed bonuses. Our stay at Barney Point was magical. Located close to Burlington and the Islands we had access to all the amenities of the area. The beach was a short walk down a path so we kayaked and swam every day. The bike path was minutes from the camp making biking into Burlington easy. Heading north on the bike path brought us to the Causeway that separates Mallette's Bay from the open lake. The camp is very comfortable, clean and large enough for a crowd. The kitchen is fully equipped and the side eating porch has a 2 large tables to gather around for meals. When we needed a quiet place to read we only had to go to the front or back of the camp to find a quiet spot. Tim was very helpful answering all our questions and giving us helpful tips. This is a wonderful location for any large group gathering!

This location was wonderful. The views were gorgeous!!! We enjoyed a fantastic evening around the fire pit with a lovely sunset, comfy chairs and great company. The camp is rustic which is charming and with all the modern conveniences you need. Great kitchen for a group to work in and a beautiful screened in porch with a huge table. We were there over Memorial Day weekend and it was a bit windy out there, but you can bundle up and enjoy the sounds of the water below and the wind in the trees in total privacy. It was a place I would come back to over and over if possible. The new deck was sunny and delightful. Tim arranged for me to come see the place in preparation for my family's arrival. I so appreciated that. I was able to share the history of the place which added to the charm as well as plan for location of family members and children. Thank you so much Tim. Five stars for sure.

We had the most wonderful weekend at the Barney Point Camp! The camp itself is so charming and a great representation of Vermont. The views are amazing and the sunsets are breath taking. There is a little walking bath to a private beach and although it was a little too chilly to swim we enjoyed just walking the sandy beach. The owner was extremely helpful and so nice to work with. If you are looking a long weekend getaway or a summer vacation close to the water for a very reasonable price I recommend staying at the Barney Point Camp!

Fabulous views of the lake, mountains and sunsets ! The location is also very convenient to downtown Burlington. The rustic charm gives you a true Vermont experience. We look forward to it every summer!

Barney Point is the perfect place to gather family and friends and make memories! Wether you are swimming in the crystal clear lake, riding your bikes on the wonderful Vermont bike trails, gathering around the fire pit or cooking in the amazingly appointed kitchen you will be blessed with the peace and joy that only a New England "camp" can provide! Our entire family LOVED our time together at Barney Point. We can't wait to return!

Barney Point was the perfect home to celebrate our daughter's graduation from UVM! She invited her friends and their families (30 people) for a picnic and even with rainy weather outside, we had more than enough room to celebrate inside. Tim was so wonderful, providing everything we needed (including a grill, serving platters & bowls, paper goods, dishes, flat wear, and Bose speaker) to host a really fun evening! The first floor bedroom and bath were perfect for grandparents. And we had enough good weather to ride our bikes on the nearby causeway and enjoy fires in the pit by the lake. We are looking for a reason to book another stay at Barney Point! (Our daughter is already thinking about a college reunion here down the road!)

Wow, we rented this for our son’s graduation weekend, with grandparents, uncles, more family and friends joining us this house and Tim’s incredible hospitality made it a weekend that we’ll cherish forever. If you are looking for a place with lake views that can’t be beat, and a relaxing few days don’t miss this place

This is the best lake house in Vermont! The view and sunsets are unbelievable. The gentleman who owns it is also one of the nicest guys I know!!

I spent a few days at Barney Point for a guys getaway trip right after Labor Day. Our plan was to spend days on the lake and nights out on Church St. in Burlington (only a 15 minute ride!). Well we only ended up spending one of our three nights downtown because none of us wanted to leave the lake house! The house is on a hill overlooking Lake Champlain, just a 30 second walk down a path to the beach. The house was big and open and slept 10 of us more than comfortably. There was a screened in patio/porch off the kitchen with two big tables, perfect for meals or playing cards. There's a nice backyard with a fire pit (overlooking the water) that was great for relaxing, day or night. Our host Tim was fantastic to work with. He was extremely responsive and I genuinely felt like he wanted to do anything he could to make sure we had a great time at his family's lake house. As we were leaving on Sunday, a couple of the guys were already suggesting that we rent the house next year. I would 100% recommend Barney Point to anyone planning a group getaway and I really hope I have the opportunity to stay here again.

We so enjoyed our week at Barney Point. Awesome house! Awesome views! So comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the kitchen island. Plenty of room for the whole family to participate in meal preps. We made great memories playing games and having dinners in the screened in porch. Beautiful sunsets every night. We were in want of nothing! I never knew knew the sound of a lake could lull me to sleep! Highly recommend. Perfect spot! Thanks Tim!
