We couldn't have been happier with the house. Just as listed (or better). The location makes for having summer sunrises AND sunsets from our beach. I never missed one the whole week we stayed. On top of having a near secluded beach direcly behind the house, the house was clean and had a well stocked kitchen. So cooking at the house was less of hassle. The kids never had any problems finding something to keep them busy without wanting to turn on a TV. Everyone thought this was a perfect vacation, and thats unheard of with the wide range of kids we have. Thank you Susan and Lydia.

The property is exactly what we expected. The house was clean and comfortable and right on the beach. The property grounds were well maintained. There were plenty of beach accessories such as chairs, umbrellas, coolers, etc and many kayaks to use (plus a paddle board). The hosts Susan, Lydia and Franklin were fantastic and almost immediately responded when contacted. The transfer from the airport to the house was all prearranged and went very smoothly. Lydia and Franklin were very responsive with any questions once we were on the island. They took care to make sure we had a great vacation. Overall this was a wonderful place and would love to come back in the future!

Quiet part of the island. House on a big lot, so lots of privacy. Beach a coconut's throw away. Took kayaks out to the small island. Excellent sunset view. A quick golf cart ride to everything. Lydia and Susan made sure our arrival and departure were easy.

Wonderful beachfront cottage that has all the charm of Spanish Wells, and literally everything you could think of. We wanted for nothing … except maybe a few extra days. Susan and Lydia are first rate hosts who really care about their guests, the experience they have, and obviously care greatly for their little piece of heaven. Thank you!

Beautifully located right on the beach. Breathtaking view of the water and landscaping. Very secluded and quiet area of beach. House was great and well stocked. We really enjoyed our stay at Seekers Delight. The location was wonderful,: right on the ocean and close to everything. The kids loved playing in the beautiful yard and finding starfish at the beach, watching stingrays and dolphins right outside our door. The house was very well appointed and had everything we could need during our visit including beach toys and games. Susan and Lydia made planning and getting there easy and were so quick to help or offer advice. We really appreciated it! This was our first trip to Spanish Wells and we hope to return many more times.

Everything was perfect from arrival to departure

Susan and Lydia are the perfect host to go along with their beautiful home "Seeker's Delight" on Spanish Wells. Their home is seconds from the beach and has everything you may need to enjoy your stay. One night we sat in our chairs in the back yard and gazed up at and spotted meteors streaking across the night sky. All in all the home is perfectly set up to enjoy your stay no matter how long and I give it a 10 out of 10.

Amazing property with beautiful views! We felt like we had our own private beach! The home was perfect for a fun getaway with family and friends. Very clean and great amenities. Loved the kayaks! Lydia and Franklin’s hospitality was fantastic before and during the trip! They made us feel so special and well taken care of the entire time. It was truly a perfect trip and we cannot wait to visit again!

Susan and Lydia's place is perfect really. It is exactly as pictured and we liked that the bedrooms are off in the back and very quiet. Each has its own AC unit as well. The view is great from the main room and there is plenty of space. Unfortunately for us (two couples), we arrived at the start of Hurricane Nicole and we had to spend three days inside, but Franklin checked on us each day and always asked if we needed anything. He gave us extra water and then came to tidy up the yard after the strong winds! The grocery store was empty so we were thankful we brought a bunch of food with us in our checked luggage. We played lots of cards and drank lots of Rum! We were finally able to kayak out to Pear Islands which I would recommend - its a shallow and safe paddle, and I Paddleboarded up and down the beach, while a sea turtle kept me company! We sat on the side porch when it rained and we were thankful for that spot! The grounds are lovely! After the storm blew over we walked each day to Long Beach and collected shells. Look for the Star Fish when the tide goes out and the live conchs! Dinner at the Sand Bar is the best, Buddah's is really fun! Read the two soft cover books about Eleuthera, as that really helped us plan our car rental day trip down to Governor's Harbour. Have lunch a Daddy Joes! Thank you for everything!

We enjoyed our stay tremendously! The property is clean and the location is perfect. Finally, the property owner was great to work with, made this very easy.

The pictures listed really don't do it complete justice. Seekers Delight is much better than what's shown. It is so authentic and extraordinarily peaceful. Any stress you brought with you to this picture postcard island will be gone within hours. The home is larger than it appears. It is incredibly clean and so welcoming. We could write any entire page on the gorgeous surroundings but you can trust what others have written. The islanders are so friendly and the food is tasty at the restaurants. What make this particular trip for us one of our most favorite was the hosts! They arranged EVERYTHING for us. They even reached out and let us know a fw things like: on the day we were arriving it would be the Bahamas Independence Day. Which meant almost everything would be closed due to the celebrations. Including the grocery store. So they offered to buy us any groceries we wanted in advance which was so helpful! When we arrived on the dock, our golf cart was waiting, which was also arranged for us. They truly thought of everything we could need and we are so grateful for them. They take great pride in sharing this home and we loved every moment stayin in it. Our trip was perfect thanks to Susan and Lydia. THIS is the place to stay in Spanish Wells! The beach in the back yard was almost deserted daily. All restaurants are a 4-7 min golf cart ride and it was so fun zipping around. We couldn't believe such a beautiful place excists in this world Everyone I showed our photos to remarked that they looked like post cards. So if you are thinking about going, stay in this house. The views are surreal. And then don't tell others cause we want to keep this magical place all to ourselves!

We could not have been more pleased with our entire experience in Spanish Wells and with Seekers Delight. We immediately felt at home and comfortable in the beautiful, cozy house. Everything we could possibly need was available and the host was so easily accessible for any questions. We loved the kayaks and paddle boards, floats for the kids and the gorgeous view. The beach was unbelievable, the restaurants delicious and the people were so kind. Already decided to start saving for our return next summer!!

We had a great time at Seekers. The location was perfect. We could see the ocean all day! Lydia was so helpful and in touch whenever we needed her. She really went above and beyond arranging our golf cart, dinner reservations and return Covid testing. The house had everything we needed, including games for our rainy days. The beds were so comfortable! I slept so well. Being able to have my coffee right on the white Sandy beach was amazing! Thank you for sharing your home.

Everything was awesome. Lydia was great, she had everything scheduled for us, so everything went very smoothly. We loved the location and the property and became good friends with our daily visitor- the yellow-crowned night heron. It was so relaxing.

Our month stay in Spanish Wells was magical. Susan and Lydia made the process relatively pain free, even with all the COVID requirements that were put in place right before we arrivedThere are on Feb. 1. Lydia took the time to call me in Boulder to assure me that getting on island and testing was not as confusing as it seemed per the Bahama Health Administration website. The house is in a fantastic location at the west end of the island. It is set back from the beach so it feels very private but you can still see the beautiful ocean from the front windows and patio. The house is older but well maintained and has everything you need for cooking and grilling. The beds were comfortable and the living room had a big comfy wrap around sofa that was easy to nap on. There also is a separate small table in chairs in the corner of the living space where my husband set up his office. There are 2 different outdoor dining areas along with seating for 6 inside too. We loved having 4 kayaks and a SUP to use and spent time paddling to the islands across from the property. The property comes with lots of beach chairs and even toys and floats for the little guests. The beach is world class...I loved our 2 mile walk each day and when the tide is out you can walk the sandbar which is located about a 1/2 mile down the beach. Probably our most favorite thing about this property is the fact that you can walk 7 minutes down the beach one way and catch the sunrise and walk 3 minutes down the beach the other way and catch the sunsets. Not many places where you can see both the sunrise and the sunset! We loved our month at Seekers Delight!

We had a fantastic week staying at Seekers Delight. We were 2 couples and had everything we needed. The house was VERY clean and well supplied. We had plenty of towels, chairs, loungers and kitchen tools. We enjoyed both the paddle board and the kayaks. Susan was a great communicator and got us all the info we needed before we arrived. Once we arrived Lydia met us at the docks and continued to stay in touch for our entire stay. Any questions we had were answered within minutes. We did a full day charter with Underwood Charters and had a blast. Would definitely recommend them. Our favorite restaurant/bar spots were Budda's Snack Shack and The Sandbar. Karaoke on Friday at Budda's is a great time. Thanks to Susan and Lydia for a great week!

we had a wonderful week at Seekers Delight. the house is great, very homey and clean. very well stocked as far as dishes, extra towels, paddle board and kayaks. we had a great time exploring on the kayaks and just sitting on the loungers by the ocean edge. very comfortable furniture including the beds. the house is very well located, being a quick 10-15 minute golf cart ride to anywhere we needed to go. Lydia was fantastic to deal with and very responsive to any questions we had (and responded quickly). she arranged for our taxi transfers and golf cart rental with both things being fantastic. we enjoyed our time here very much and highly recommend spending your vacation here. we hope to return one day.

We loved this house and property!! This was our 4th trip to this island and 1st in this house- will come back to Seekers Delight every time! Quiet private beach, large yard for privacy, well stocked (inside and out). Beach chairs, toys, umbrellas made it perfect! Lydia was so easy to access for any questions and was able to help with all requests- reserved car and transport for our day on Eleuthera. You won’t be disappointed if you choose to stay here!

From the moment of booking through the end of our trip, Lydia and Susan made everything so easy and enjoyable. When we arrived on Sunday, Lydia had the kitchen stocked with essentials since everything in the Bahamas is closed on Sundays and little did we know that Monday was a holiday. Lydia made sure we had transportation from the airport to Spanish Wells, as well has having a golf cart ready for our use. She also made plans for our return to the airport. She made reservations at restaurants on Sunday and Monday nights, which were phenomenal. The location of this house is the best. You simply walk out the back door, take a few steps and you are on the beautiful beach. The four teenagers loved using the kayaks and paddle board. I highly recommend this home if you plan a trip to Spanish Wells.

We enjoyed our stay. Lydia is very on top of communication and will do a lot for you which is great. I hurt myself on day one and she was there to help in a big way!! I so appreciated. that. I have mixed feelings though. It was a bit older and dirtier than I expected. Some dishes were not clean when pulled out of the cabinet, hair in sink and stuck to towels. (Long wavy dark hair so it wasn't ours.) If you don't mind older and a little rustic, it's fine. There was no hammock which I was looking forward to. There is no shade on the beach so be prepared for it to be HOT, in July at least. Hard to sit on the beach for any amount of time. An umbrella would be awesome! There was a big mishap with our rental car and felt treated unfairly. We are good people and just wanted them to hear us out but they came at us angry and wanted no part of what actually happened. (Lydia and the car rental woman both mad.) I asked Lydia if there was seaweed as I had been to Cancun and it was terrible. She said, "we don't have a big seaweed problem here". But there is quite a bit right in front of the house in the water, so the water isn't quite as blue as other areas. But still very nice. Next time I would stay on Eleuthera as there is more to do. But all in all we had a great time.

We enjoyed our stay so very much and are already planning a return trip! The property is wonderful with walk out beach access and plenty of kayaks and chairs and beach accessories. Nice long beach for daily walks. You do need a golf cart for traveling around the island and that was so much fun too. Grocery store is very close and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Nightly visits to Papas for ice cream was a must also. Plenty of dishes to make dinners at the house too plus BBQ pit. The house had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and pleasant! Susan was very responsive to all communications and Lydia and her husband were always available for any issues that came up plus were just wonderful to visit with. Everyone we met on the island was so nice . We will definitely be back someday!! Thanks so much for sharing your property and island!!

Lydia, thank you so much for being such a great hostess. Lydia helped us along the way to going to Spanish Wells for the first time, including arranging transportation for us on way there and back, stocking the house with food prior to our arrival, arranging an amazing welcome dinner for us, providing recommendations and scheduling reservations for dining at the local restaurants, and just being a great person! Paulie was great with customizing a charter ride for our family, taking the guys fishing and then coming back for the rest of us for beach and snorkel time. Speaking of snorkeling, Pierre Rock was amazing for snorkeling and was a quick kayak away. It was also fun to snorkel under the bridge separating us from Russell Island. all 3 of the waterfront restaurants were yummy, but SandBar's location was lovely! Oh, and Papa Scoops was fabulous!! Thank you for such a wonderful trip with my family!
