The pool and hot tub were lovely after a long day out. We were comfortable here and loved the location. The only thing that was disappointing about the location was the limits the county puts on beach passes, so we had to drive down to the inlet for driving our crew out on the beach. Overall this was a great home, fun was had by all on our family!

The house is very nice. The walk to the beach is more than 8 minutes but we loaded everything we needed on the bed of the truck and one of us drove the others to the beach, took truck back to the house and came back for us later. The beds are great, furniture is pretty and as expected has a little wear. The owner will answer emails and when we had a problem he took care of it quickly. Definitely worth trying.

There was sand in the pool when we arrived and sand around the cement area. The outside shower was just a tiny spray. No full force to get yourself clean. The outside hose was small in length and hard to maneuver. The sofas could have used a cleaning, along with the scatter rugs. We had a great stay and made it work for us!

We all had a good time. House was big enough so we didn’t feel cramped at all. Pool and hot tub were nice. Location was pretty close to a lot of things. Owner was very responsive to anything and that was much appreciated. Home was clean, beds were comfortable. Having the pack n play was very convenient for my toddler. Recommend this home for anyone’s stay in Corolla.

Very nice home. Loved walking around the lake to get to the beach, beautiful walk. We really enjoyed our time here. Washing machine was not cleaned properly. Water was left in the coffee pot that was under the counter. The towels and wash cloths were not left by the cleaning company.

We made the best of this very cool and breezy week. We had only one beach day, which was bummer. We Enjoyed the walk around the pond each morning and evening. The house was too far away for my mom to walk, but we made it work for her. We also gave her the top floor bedroom so she did not have to travel all the stairs. Bedrooms are on all floors so you can be spread out. Since we had our dog with us we did take sheets to cover the furniture, however the furniture needed a GOOD cleaning along with the carpeting on the stairs. It was nice to have laminate flooring in other areas for easy sweeping. The door going out to the deck is very heavy and did not pull easily. The exhaust fan in the downstairs (lowest bedroom) did not work. The lamp also needs some fixing. The Bulb socket is very loose. We also left the house cleaner than when we got there; A lot of the dishes and silverware was put back dirty. We pre-washed all item before use. I brought my own Keurig coffee pot. (Again the last person who used the appliances was left dirty). One side of the toaster is broken as well. We also swept the pool area and back stoop and moving broken chairs out of the pool area and putting them in the lattice storage area. I didn’t think it was my place to put them by the curb for trash pick up. I think the owners just needs to do a walk through and really be mindful of what needs to be cleaned / upgraded in the house, or take notes in comments to make the renters stay more enjoyable.

The furniture is old and not the cleanest, the carpet is not clean, needs a good dusting and the trees around the pool don’t let any sun in whatsoever

Carpets and furniture need to be replaced, very stained and dirty. The beds were comfortable, parking is an issue. Still had an enjoyable time with the family. Thank you again

We had the best experience with our stay. The house was perfect and clean! Super close to the local shops and grocery stores.

Stay was great. Furniture in the pool area needs updated though. The couch and love seat could be updated as well. But overall it was a great place to stay and would stay again. Thank you.

Overall we had a nice and relaxing time. Doug was awesome at responding to us and is very nice! To be honest we did have to come in and do a lot our own cleaning, which isn't necessarily his fault, I'm sure it's very difficult to find someone to clean your home the way you would but that's an area that needed a lot of attention. There were some things that needed to be fixed and Doug got to his Handyman, Steve, and he was very nice and quick at fixing the blinds and an outlet. Some things to add for your stay would be that the queen mattresses are deep queens so pocket sheets are needed for a proper fit, bring some cutting boards, and sharp knives but that's not uncommon for a beach rental. The walk to the beach isn't long but it did keep us from walks up at night. The pool was a huge hit for our kiddo, and was definitely a welcome when we didn't feel like having a beach day!!!The turtles at the lake were also so fun to feed so get some veggies and fruit and go see for yourself! It's pretty centrally located so you won't have to go far for shopping. The outside could use a good pressure cleaning but I'd say if you don't mind these minor things this was a fine, pet and kid friendly property!

We loved Corolla. It was our first time. The people were wonderful and the beach was great. Next time we would choose a place closer to the beach. We didn’t realize it was the distance that it was and that the dunes we so high. But we know it now. Had a wonderful time and will return to Corolla!

Overall a great place. No issues, house was exactly what 8 guys needed to use as a central point for our yearly trip. Pool, hot tub were cleaned the day we came in, house was clean. We used Moneysworth Beach Equip Rentals for linens and towels. It's a nice place, not fancy but I would recommend. If we go back next year, I would certainly book again. Mr. Clark, the owner, was very responsive to me. Thanks again for a great long weekend trip. JB

Good: Close to beach access, nice size rooms. Hot tub was good. Clean enough on arrival really needs a deep clean. Bad: stained rugs and overall a bit smelly, old furniture, beds in bad shape with cheap mattresses which caused me to have a bad back, kitchen was not well appointed or deep cleaned enough for us to attempt to cook. Needs new furniture, a really good deep cleaning, paint, jus an overall general refresh and this property could be nice. Communication with owner was good. My recommendation would be to make some improvements in the property to improve guest satisfaction. Rating it four stars because it was a really good shoulder season deal. If I was paying full price in the summer months, this would be two stars.

First the location is great, the house was however disgusting. The home itself can be a nice house, however it was just filthy! Visible cobwebs and dust and when I reached to pull out the understove drawer, I pulled back a hand of slimy sticky goo. I wiped what appeared to be grits or some kind of crumbs from all over the stove when I first walked in. Nasty stains on the carpet and dog hair all over the floor and furniture. Even the pool table could use a good cleaning. Such a waste if they would just invest some time and money into a good cleaning and updating the place it would be a great property

Pro: Communication with the owner and property manager is excellent. Con: The house had not been cleaned - at all - before we arrived. Both the property manager and owner said this was not usual. Pro: The cleaning issue was resolved in a satisfactory manner. The home itself is in an older neighborhood that was quiet. The furnishings are very basic/no frills/not updated in any capacity. Very little furniture in the bedrooms we used our suitcases as night stands in two of the rooms. Ok for a crash pad but I would not rent the home for my family vacation. Very obviously pet-friendly. One of the stove eyes doesn't work, lightbulbs broken out in the master bath and the microwave handle not working.

The property is in a great location in a cul-de-sac right next to the walking trail for the lake. The home had everything we needed for a pleasant comfortable stay. We enjoyed being able to come home after a long day on the beach and take a dip in the pool following up with the hot tub. The home is close to the beach but for the sake of ease we chose to hit the 4x4 beach . It's absolutely beautiful and if you're lucky you'll get a visit from the horses. There are 2 grocery stores and multiple restaurant options within a mile of the home. All in all we had a wonderful vacation and would certainly stay here again

Great location first of all. Not sure who cleans but, you might want to get a new crew. Dust and hair(dog or Human)on the floor on All levels as soon as we walked in the door. A Lot Of Dust and cobwebs hanging from light over kitchen table, overhead light going down stairs had a cobweb hanging down covered in dust. The OVEN has never been clean, one burner did not work at all. About a half inch of dust on the head boards, stained and holes in all of the mattress covers. Boards on second floor deck would give when you walked across them(very soft). Mildew shower curtains in All Showers. Towel rack in basement was broken. Microwave handle was broken. A lot of trash in the yard. Just overall not impressed.

The house was a last-minute booking for our group and it was a good house for a good value. However since our stay was towards the end of the season, the house needs a deep clean as there were cobwebs and dust on the lamps and chandeliers. The couches are newer, but could use a shampoo. The pool is extremely shaded by overgrown trees which made the water extremely cold and unpleasant to hang out by and in the pool since it didn’t have any sunlight. The proximity to the ocean was great. A ten minute walk around turtle lake. The owners provided a cart which was helpful. The outside furniture could use an update as it was basic plastic chairs that aren’t very comfortable. All in all, the home was good for what we needed for a last minute beach trip.

Communication with the property manager was easy and the property was exactly as described. The walk to the beach was a little longer than I would have liked but it was doable and we went multiple times. The kids absolutely loved the pool and the pool table. Having access to all the video streaming services was nice in the evening. The only suggestions I have are to add tvs in the bunk bedrooms as well and that the posting said their were DVD players but we couldn't find any to play our family scene it board games on. The kitchen was wonderful and had everything you could possibly need. Thank you for a fantastic family vacation!

The house is older. Needs a few updates. A few things not working well. Had trouble with internet connection and dishwasher. It is a far walk to beach if carrying anything. The property manager and ow we were always prompt in answering questions and ha sling any issues though. For the price it was a good place though.

My family and I usually spend summer at the Outer Banks and it is our first time staying at the Corolla. I’ve booked this beach house back in January and I already had a good vibe from the beginning when exchanging emails and messages with Doug. He answered all of my questions even when we were at the beach house and gave us a number to contact if we had any issues since Doug was overseas. The beach house is very beautiful and it is definitely a 5 minutes walk to the beach and very close to the shops/restaurants/groceries and sports activities. We enjoyed our serene walk by the lake everyday and the kids loves seeing the turtles, heron, etc. on the way to the beach. There were some days that it rained and having the swimming pool, hot tub and pool table were definitely a plus which kept us all entertained. We would love to come back to this beach house again. Thank you for accommodating my family and for an awesome stay.

Staying at this beautiful home even for just 3 days made my family and I contemplate moving from our home in Georgia! The only inconvenience was not having many places around the home to visit without driving 30 minutes. Not a huge issue considering the house and the beach alone made you never want to leave. I am thankful for this experience and will be back.

House is in a very convenient location with a short walk to the water. Very clean and comfortable. Hot tub and pool are a great bonus! The price was very reasonable. Would definitely stay again.

Overall this property ended being great for our week away. We had everything we needed to enjoy some down time. The location was nice, close to the lake and not to far of a walk to the beach. We walked to the beach almost everyday and spent time walking around the lake. Both Doug and the secondary contact were prompt to respond, answer questions and remedy any concerns. The home could use a good deep cleaning and some upgrades but overall it was a perfect fit at a great price! We look forward to returning to the area again.

House was nice. Beds we’re not the best and it was hard to sleep. In a very nice location and was quiet.

1st off we had a great time once we get in the house. The owner was away so he gave me a name to call in case we had any problems. we got there around 4:30 on Sat Sept 5th, the keys were not in the lock box!! We called the other guy, he did not return my call until 3 hours later, we had to wait outside all that time. Once we got in we checked the property over. The 1st floor shower liner was so moldy we had to take it off and just use the shower curtain, windows were so dirty you couldn't hardly see out of them. But overall the property was nice!! We did have a great time with friends

Pool & hot tub were amazing, close to town of Corolla/grocery stores and short walk to the beach.

The house was everything we expected and more. We really enjoyed the pool and the hot tub, they were both extremely clean upon arrival. We used them every single day! The pool table was a great bonus for the late evenings and the large dining table was perfect for game nights. The property owner was very responsive in all communications. We can’t wait to be back next year!
