Home was so cozy and perfect for our short stay, wish we could've stayed longer. Beautiful views, and home well taken care of.

We hadca wonderful stay in this beautiful home despite the rain. we swam in the pond and used the floats provided. What a treat to find fully inflated floats to use. We enjoyed playing games during the rainy afternoon. The kitchen had everything we needed and the whole house was so organized it was easy to find anything. The beds were comfortable and it was so cozy to wake up to the sound if the rain. We can't wait to visit again.

We loved the quiet location, beautiful spot. Many of the amenities (towels, etc...) were better than many other places we've stayed. Great home away from home. Would definitely stay there again.

Everything went well. Early check in and late check out were much appreciated. Only complaint was that the house was not the cleanest. Also, the bugs were bad in the house. Not sure how to remedy that.

We spent 5 days while attending an event in the area and loved the house from the moment we walked in. Very well provisioned, clean and a great location for what we needed. The lake was a nice bonus. We will absolutely be staying again in the future.

Owner was very accommodating and responsive. Amenities at house were satisfactory. Suggest you change out upper toilet and shower with adult size units.

The House on the Hill was a fantastic place for our summer getaway. The atmosphere inside is warm and cozy, and the front porch is a great spot to relax on a hot afternoon. The property has everything and anything you might need during your stay, which made our travels easy. Anne was very easy to communicate with and responded quickly to any questions. I would highly recommend this property and hope to return.

Beautiful property in a beautiful location. The pond is impeccable, the people were friendly, great swimming, and great entertainment watching and listening to the loons. The house had everything we could have possible needed.

This was a lovely cabin situated up the hill yet close to everything. We enjoyed swimming and hiking up the street and throughout Grafton Notch State Park, which was an easy drive away. The cabin a had all of the amenities you could need for your stay through all seasons. We felt like there was so much care and thought put into every room and outdoor space of this property. We would love to come back during the ski season as well!

Our family had an amazing time. Anne's cabin is charming, cozy and comfortable and in a very peaceful setting near the pond. We went for a beautiful walk in the Bethel community forest and swimming and playing in the sand at Ellis Pond (30 min drive), both of which were great with a toddler. We also grilled for many meals and made fires in the fireplace. We even picked up some delicious pie at the Puzzle Mountain Bakery Pie Stand. It was all very relaxing and just what we were looking for. Highly recommended!

We spent 4 nights here as a family of four during April break--even though it was the off-season, we got to ski at Sunday river (spring skiing in slush) which is 15 minutes away and did a bunch of hiking in Grafton notch state park--also about a 15-20 minute ride. Anne's house was very comfortable with great beds/sofas/loft area for the kids to lounge. The kitchen was well-appointed--one of the best I've seen in a rental--and we were able to cook meals easily. Anne was extremely responsive. I mentioned that we didn't have fire wood when we arrived and within an hour, she had friends drop some off, which allowed us to warm up with the lovely wood stove. This house is walking distance to Howard Pond and would be a great place in the summer too. We loved our stay and would definitely return.

We stayed at Anne’s place for a last minute ski trip at Sunday River. The place was great - well stocked with everything you need. Beds and the home were comfy! The instructions are clear and check in/check out was seamless. The proximity to Sunday river is good, about 15 mins. A few notes for future renters to be mindful of: the house is up a small windy road by the pond, which is a bit scary at night. Also, not too many restaurants that deliver and most spots for takeout are by Sunday River so guests should plan for that. The remoteness of the house also makes the WiFi a bit unstable, this wasn’t a huge deal deal for us but would be for someone looking to work remotely here. Overall, 100% would recommend to others and come back! Thanks Anne for being a wonderful host!

Those house was spacious, quiet, well-stocked and just a short drive to Sunday River. Anne was great to work with and the house was so comfortable.

Cozy and clean home. It was a great place to stay with our family of 5 for a few days while we skied at Sunday River. It’s an easy 15-20 minute drive to Sunday River. The beds were comfortable and the home had everything you would need.

We stayed two nights while attending the state class B ski meet. Very nice place, would stay there again.

Anne’s property was fantastic! We went as a group of 5 for a ski weekend and had plenty of space to spread out. The house was super comfortable and homey, and it was a quick ride to Sunday River which made it wicked convenient. Anne’s communication was great the whole time as well - she’s a great host! Would definitely stay here again and hope to soon.

Great place 15 minutes from Sunday River. House is comfortable and easily accommodated 6 adults. Highly recommend this place.

This house is charming, quaint and perfect for skiing vacation. After 24 h it felt like home. Anne is a wonderful owner, she strives to take care of her guests.

We've been renting the same prep property for summer vacations for generations. This year, it was unavailable and we chose the house on the hill as a last minute backup plan. My son's (8) reaction, can we go back next year? Why? Because it's better than the house in Plymouth! Huge praise! Thee property was immaculate. The water was perfect...and the kids were psyched for the games and crafting at night. Thank you for a great experience.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this comfortable property. The kitchen was well equipped. The day we arrived was one of those rare hot ones in western Maine and the camp was warm. Window mount fans throughout the camp were available, as well as ceiling fans in the bedrooms which really helped make a difference in keeping the muggy to a minimum. Thanks for a relaxing stay. The WIFI is a little troublesome and you should consider putting in a repeater to increase the signal strength throughout the house, as the router is located in the basement. My family and I took a weekend trip to Maine and I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Anne's home is wonderful! The kitchen, one of the most important locations in renters, had everything we needed. The pond was gorgeous and neighbors were lovely. I can't wait to come back everyone was sad to leave but we'll definitely be back and hopefully for a longer stay. Also, Iobed having a bunch of puzzles to choose from. The kids did a few and we tackled the moose one and came out victorious! Thanks Anne for such a great home and a fantastic long weekend away!

Wonderful house, very easy to Sunday River

I spent the weekend here with my sons and a daughter-in-law and could not have been happier. We skied at Sunday River, a 15-minute drive a way. The home is in impeccable shape, well-stocked with towels, kitchen equipment, comfortable beds and a cozy wood stove. Anne was very easy to communicate with as well. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area.

Very cozy and secluded. The house was clean and extremely well-stocked with everything you would need for your stay. The loft makes a great additional space for kids to play. A very easy 10 minute drive to Sunday River. Parking for at least 4 cars in the driveway.
