The house was perfect and everyone was very responsive

The house is charming, large and comfortable. Yet, it it is dated with very old mattresses. The house is musty. I suppose all of that is to be expected with an older home. However, what was extremely disappointing was the condition of the property. It was in the middle of having construction and about half the windows were painted over. Yes, you read that correctly. Several of the glass panes were entirely covered in paint. One room, “the sun room” had no windows that were clear of paint.All of the shutters had been removed from the house. Construction debris was left outside . Several electrical outlets and lamps did not work. The microwave did not work either. The grounds were poorly maintained with lots of weeds. The home was dusty…perhaps left over from construction. This is a lovely , old home in a great location, but it should not have been rented with the state of construction. We should have been informed about this ahead of time. And, we should not have been charged full price for it . The property management company did not acknowledge the construction as a problem but offered to have the construction materials located outside removed. So, before you sign up for this property, you might want to make sure that it is not having major work done. Perhaps the owner was trying to get the house ready for the US Open. The house would be exceptionally nice with a deep clean, better curtains, new mattresses and pillows, electrical repairs and yard maintenance.

We stayed at Tassel Pines 5/19-5/22 2022. The house is a beautiful old southern home. The house needs to be updated and the grounds need some TLC but it’s charm is perfect. We had a wonderful stay. I do however recommend putting outlets in the master bath. That would make shaving and blow drying your hair much more convenient. In all it was a good experience.

Plenty of room. Beds placed reasonably throughout the house. Nothing crowded in to meet a minimum of guests. Would stay again.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed spending our Thanksgiving holiday at 65 Blue Road! The house is very large with plenty of room for everyone. It is comfortable and has all the comforts of home. We were a group of 9 that cooked all our meals at the house. The kitchen has plenty of room for everyone to congregate and cook together and is well-stocked. We enjoyed meals in the dining room, games in the game room, the living room is big enough for a large group and the outdoor fire pit was a big hit with all. Additionally, Jordin at Sandhills Realty was very responsive - on Thanksgiving morning no less - when we had a minor issue. She was very attentive and it was much appreciated! We would not hesitate to stay here again!!

Everything we need in a house for a golf trip. Our longest commute to anything we did was 8 minutes. Perfect location and plenty of room for 8 of us.

House is in great location and has plenty of room to accommodate 4-8 people comfortably (there are more beds if you need). It’s an older house with ample charm - definitely a good price given all the room available.

Reviewer Comments: The house was a nice size to fit our group, but the state of the house was poor when we checked in. The kitchen faucet handle was broken, a dirty sponge was left behind (and no other sponges provided), the oven was dirty (baked on drippings on the bottom) and emitted burning smells each time we used it, kitchen knives were dirty (when we pulled them out from the knife block). The couches also were stained and had food residue on some, and there were empty cans and bottles on the property around the house. Most worrisome, there was water damage to the ceiling in the stairwell and one of the bathrooms, and the water damage in the bathroom was excessive, with the sheetrock peeling off and black mold growing on it. We contacted the management company on Friday night (night we checked in) through the app requesting someone do something to please address the black mold, and did not hear back until Sunday morning (when we were scheduled to check out). Three of the four bathrooms had drainage and water pressure issues, as well. We all had a great time, but the state of the house was disappointing, and the lack of responsiveness from the management company was extremely disappointing. Would not recommend.

After reading the reviews of others I hate to give a negative review although the over all stay was positive. Upon pulling onto the property we were excited and how the property was laid out. Space for kids and adults to hide from each other. There was trash on the side patio, the back patio was swept or cleaned off. The kitchen was in such disarray that my mother started cleaning the almost the moment we walked in. I took pictures but this app doesn’t allow me to upload pictures the pictures I took. On a positive note the we has a great time as a family the kids played the adults played games and it was great 4th of July celebration.

We had an issue with the plumbing in the garage apartment but management dispatched a crew day-of and took care of it swiftly. Would definitely use Sandhills Rentals again in the future!
