My wife and I spent the weekend with our two dogs at the Salty Dog and had a wonderful time. The neighborhood was very quiet and we loved being within a short walk to the beach. The house was a perfect size for us and had everything we needed. We especially loved all the great books that we found around the house. We also really appreciated the beautiful slate-walled bathroom with excellent water pressure in the shower. The yard had a lovely mix of flowers, berries, and trees that provided a nice wild jungle kind of feel that we personally prefer over more manicured lawns. Sharon was very friendly and responsive, and even though we had everything we needed, we felt she was available in case we needed anything else. We look forward to coming back to Cape May, and we certainly hope the Salty Dog is available when we do.

Cottage was just what was needed for a relaxing week at the beach. Small but cozy and tastefully decorated. We had everything we needed for our trip. Kitchen was small but had the necessities: coffee maker, fridge, microwave, etc... Sharon and Peter were always there if we needed them. Loved sitting on the porch, reading and having our morning coffee. Beach is superclose walk and convenient to so many things (Bird Observatory, Lighthouse, Lake Lily, WWII tower, Beach plum farm, Sunset Beach). Great place to bike ride and enjoy the sea! We will be back!

This is our second time staying at the salty dog and we just love it. The location is great, the property is terrific. I especially love the screened in porch. The host is very responsive and helpful. Can’t wait to stay again!

A great little place for 2-3 adults. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Great area for walking! Close to beach and Lake! Would definitely stay here again!

We loved everything about our stay! The cottage is a short walk to the beach on a quiet, wooded lot with wildflowers. The generous porch had comfortable chairs and a table which was great for rainy days. The cottage was impeccable, beds were comfortable, and there were nice design touches throughout. The neighborhood is quiet and charming with plenty of pretty gardens to admire on the walk to the beach.

This is a cute little cottage. The kitchen and bathroom are nicely updated. We also appreciated the Nest central air conditioning. It is located in a nice, quiet area and we enjoyed riding our bikes around the neighborhood and Lake Lily nearby. It is also a short walk to the Cape May Point beach. It is a VERY small place, and there is not a lot of storage space. For example, the 2nd bedroom doesn't have a regular closet (only shelves which were already filled with extra bedding) and no dresser. Also, the bathroom could use some shelves or something to put your toiletries on; I found it difficult to even get ready in there. Also, the kitchen has very little counter space, so if you plan on cooking anything, it will be a bit of a challenge. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated that we were able to bring our two dogs. We were very impressed at how clean the house was upon our arrival, which is not always the case with dog friendly rentals. If you are a small family and travel light, you will be comfortable here.

The perfect size for my friend and I and for our purpose of bird watching it was a wonderful location. A short walk down to the beach that went on for miles and gorgeous sunset views. I’d be happy to return again.

The Salty Dog was the perfect place for us to spend Christmas and New Years. The house is thoughtfully decorated with so many great books I got distracted from the books I'd brought myself! Super comfortable bed and sitting room. We came to Cape May Point to relax and get away, and the Salty Dog was perfect--a five minute walk to the beach and a ten minute drive into Cape May if we wanted to go into town. Alexander Beach is a great walking beach with spectacular sunsets. That we could have our border collie with us on vacation made the stay even more special. Would highly recommend as a warm and comfortable place to relax and enjoy Cape May Point and Cape May.

Lovely, charming house on a quiet wooded property. The screened porch made for an enjoyable morning coffee and evening drinks experience, and close proximity to the beach allowed us to walk to see the sunsets every evening. A bicyclists paradise - around the neighborhood, to the lighthouse and birding trails, or all the fun of downtown Cape May. Easy check in, host was lovely and responsive. Very comfortable and enjoyable stay. We loved it!

Easy rental process. Sharon was very accessible. The place was small and stylish and perfect for our group. Great location and neighborhood. Convenient to the beach.

Quiet neighborhood near town and nature attractions. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had, and even went above-and-beyond to bring me 1 tsp of baking soda so I could finish a baking project without having to run back out. The driveway and walkways were well-maintained, and the gardens super cute. There is a sweet little porch with fairy lights, and wifi kept us in touch with work and family, and tv watching when the weather turned rainy.

This home was just the right size for our family of 3 plus dog. Our daughter loved the children's books, and the adults appreciated the amenities and decor. The location was ideal, offering easy walking and/or biking access to the beach.

Great renovation! well equipped. beds are the most comfortable. Smart TV easy to use and a lot of network choices.

The Salty Dog was warm and cozy for our winter getaway. Perfect for the two of us. We couldn't take advantage of the large, enclosed porch but I can see how that would be perfect for a spring / summer / fall retreat- it nearly doubles the living space. Sharon was communicate and helpful.

Adorable cottage in a great area. The beach is one block away. Beautiful lake and little park also very close. I love Cape May Point. So quiet and peaceful. Sharon is the most attentive owner we've ever had. We will be back!

Modern, yet quaint. Great enclosed porch to sip wine and visit with friends. Spectacular ocean sunsets just a short block away. Great little art objects to cheer up the cottage. A winner!
