This is no ordinary “cabin”, it is a beautifully decorated lodge on a gorgeous piece of property. Our family of 11 had plenty of room to play together and or rest quietly. The bedding, towels and dish-ware were immaculate. Some nook areas/windows/rugs were a bit dusty, probably due to construction next door. We had an incredible time and will be back. One family member had a walker and had a little issue w stairs and rugs, be aware if that if you have handicapped guest, but the place is wonderful and our family enjoyed every minute! Owners/managers were extremely responsive and we had NO trouble with anything while there. We have already looked at calendar for a return visit!

Interesting property . Our group enjoyed the gorgeous views and fishing on the property. Some of the rugs need to be replaced and are becoming a slipping hazard.

Amazing place and the photos don’t do it justice! We sat in front of the enormous stone fireplace playing cards and reminiscing all evening and then did the same outside on the deck in the afternoon. Kitchen was fully stocked and wanting for nothing. We’ll definitely be back.

The cabin was very nice. It was well stocked with games and relaxing activities. The kitchen was also stocked with everything you could need from a toaster to pressure cooker. There were two gas grills and then a fireplace grill, too. We spent most evenings on the front porch overlooking the pond. The pond, though small, had fish and turtles for our entertainment.

This was our 4th trip and we stayed 10 days in July. Great stay with family enjoying it as we did on our first trip many years ago. Everything was ready when we arrived and we had a wonderful visit. Even though we had some rain, it was cool and comfortable for all. Property around the home had been cleaned up after flood last year, but the house was never in danger. It looked better than before the storm. Highly recommended.

We celebrated our 50th Anniversary with all our kids and grandkids!! It was wonderful!!! Peaceful mountain ranch & the lodge was amazing. Could have sat on the porch for many more days!!! Cooked all our meals in the big kitchen and grilled on the deck…fished, campfire with s’mores and lots of walks, hikes and visits to Pisgah National Park waterfalls 🥰

Third time we have stayed here. The beauty, peace and solitude means a relaxing time for all. There visiting with family, fishing, hiking and the beauty of the area. We plan to return next year!

What an awesome property. Beautiful picturesque mountains and surrounding area. Pond in front for fishing, a creek very close by, and a peaceful place to walk or sit and relax.

My and my husbands family were able to gather here and enjoy a rare holiday all together. The cabin area was beautiful and located close the Asheville. We all got here very comfortably and were absolutely in love with the home.

This property is very large and had enough space to accommodate 6 adults, 5 teens and a 5 year old. The grounds are beautiful and my son and his friend enjoyed fishing in the ponds. You are roughly 45-50 minutes from Asheville, but the drive is not too bad. Neda and Elizabeth were very helpful and quick to respond to any question I had before and during our stay. Everyone in our group enjoyed this home and our stay. Thanks for sharing this home with us!

East Fork Ranch was just what we hoped it would be. Our family thoroughly enjoyed relaxing at this mountain retreat. Most of our time was spent on the front porch enjoying the beauty of Cold Mountain. When we weren’t outside fishing or sitting around the fire pit, we were inside playing pool or preparing family meals in the chef’s kitchen. It was a weekend full of laughter and fun. The property manager was very helpful and available if we needed anything.

The location is just right if you want to have some peace and quiet and yet be 30 - 45 minutes from Asheville and many other attractions. The property is well maintained and includes 3 ponds to fish and/or swim. There is a fork of the Pigeon river that runs through the property where fishing, wading, and swimming are easily accessible. The fire pit was a great place for evening gatherings and the fireflies were a pleasant diversion. The house is well described in listing. Others have mentioned that the bunk room occupants all share one bathroom which didn't create a problem for us as only 3 kids were in that room. The outside porch was a gathering place for all who were home and we ate most meals outside on the porch. Again, as others have mentioned, the wifi and internet connection is spotty outside of the kitchen/den area where the modem/router is located. The internet speed is not fast as one would expect for such a remote location. The pool table was a great hit with all the kids. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have recommended this location to several friends to use for a small family reunion. The property manager lives a short walk away and was always available to answer questions or help with any issues. We will return again if we can get all the family together at the same time.

This home was perfect for our family of 8 adults and 8 children, ages 5-12. The children’s bunk room slept all 8 children, comfortably. The bedrooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. In fact, the whole home was beautiful with unique and custom furnishings.. The wood work and furniture were beautiful! The kitchen featured a huge gas stove and oven as well as an ice machine! It was very well stocked with just about anything one would need to cook a meal. We cooked just about every meal there and just needed to bring our groceries. We did buy disposable plates, cups and bowls for the children. (The dishes were just too nice and we did not want to risk them getting broken.) Everyone enjoyed the pool table. The multiple televisions and family gathering rooms were perfect for allowing the children to watch their shows while the adults could tune in to the Olympics or just sit and talk. We all felt the home was much better than the photos depicted. As lovely as the home was on the inside, the outdoor spaces on the property made it just perfect. G’ma and g’daddy could watch all the activity from the beautiful front porch, there were plenty of places to sit and rock the afternoon away or enjoy the early morning hours. We could watch the ping pong tournaments taking place on the porch or the kids playing basketball or catch on the open lawn. Everyone enjoyed the fire pit where we made s’mores and just hung out. The guys and the children enjoyed fishing in the multiple ponds which were stocked with trout and the children were able to kayak and swim in the pond just below the house where they could be watched from that perfect porch! The children enjoyed the river adjacent to the property. It was perfect for jumping rocks and playing in the water. The property manager, Neda, answered questions and addressed situations immediately. We were extremely pleased and hope to return next year with our children and grandchildren.

Third time visiting East Fork Ranch. Comfortable and well-stocked home in a fantastic location. Excellent communication and responsive on-site hostess. Hope to go again.
