The property is absolutely amazing. There is plenty of space to either gather in large groups or easily find quiet nooks on both the Caribbean or Atlantic side of the island. I would highly recommend Buttonwood Reserve to everyone!

Our purpose was to have a surprise 70th Birthday party/family reunion, which included 42 people. We rented out all 8 units and it was so comfy! Each unit is equipped with two bedrooms, two baths, washer/dryer, kitchen/diningroom, and living room area, and a lanai that overlooks the ocean! Each unit also has it's own golf cart. The units are high quality! The staff was so personable that I feel like we left family behind when we had to return home. A magazine worthy beach, called Cocodimama, is right down the road, which we took advantage of. We hired a cook, Andrew and Felicity, which I would highly recommend. The grounds are well kept and the keepers are stellar. Sonya, the property manager, was incredible and I hope we can return soon!

This property was exactly what we needed for our large group of 30, multiple families getting together from 2 states to enjoy Spring Break in the Bahamas. Each condo was well maintained, well appointed with what families needed and had amazing views. Everyone loved the golf carts, amazing sandy private Atlantic beach with great waves, Caribbean beach for snorkeling and kayaking and heated pool. Property is in a great central location on Eleuthera, people made it from Light House Beach in the South to Harbour Island and Spanish Wells in the North and everything in between on our days there. Very close to grocery store in James Cistern. Sonya the property manager and her staff were welcoming and accommodating. If you are thinking about a trip to a family island in the Bahamas, where you can spend days being the only people an beach after beautiful beach this is the place for you!

We had 31 people (12 adults and 19 kids ages 8-17) that comfortably fit in the Buttonwood Reserve. We enjoyed the easy access to both the Atlantic and Caribbean. Our kids especially enjoyed the Atlantic Ocean and the soft beach.

My family of 22 people rented 5 units at Buttonwood Reserve for a week. We loved it. It was clean, comfortable and very well maintained. Patrick and Brenda, the grounds keepers, were around every morning. They are some of the nicest people I have ever met and had wonderful advice about the island to offer. Matthew the property manager was always easy to contact and had answers to any questions we had. This is a beautiful resort. We basically had the property to ourselves. Our family ranges in age from 2 years old to 66. We were able to cook most of our meals in the condos. We had brought a lot of food with us because we had planned to do this. The kitchens were very nice and we had everything we needed to prepare meals. The pool is perfect in size and well maintained. The beach on the Caribbean side was not so great for our family's needs but a short ride on a provided golf cart took us to the beautiful, practically private beach on the Atlantic side of the island. Each unit has it's own golf cart. We used them every day. We enjoyed the huts on the Atlantic beach for shade, the provided beach chairs, boogie boards and umbrellas everyday. Morning coffee on the deck overlooking the waters of both oceans and amazing stars to view at night were just a few of the many things we enjoyed. The teenagers enjoyed the provided kayaks on the Caribbean side but we spent most of our time on the Atlantic. We made a couple of trips to Cocodimama Beach which was very close by. Amazing, perfect place for everyone, even the 2 year old babies could walk way out and paddle around in their swim jackets. I really can't say enough about this property. It was the perfect place for our family gathering. Above all we felt safe and the people of Eleuthera are so nice. This is not a place to go to if you want to be around a lot of people and are looking for a lot of activity. It is a place to reconnect with family and enjoy nature. I highly recommend it. I hope to return one day. Quick referrals: Rolle's Auto Rental and Big Daddy's Auto Rental were both great to work with for our car rental needs. We had so much luggage that we had Big Daddy provide a "luggage vehicle" for us as well as van rental. Perfect solution. Service was excellent from both of these providers. Groceries are quite expensive on the island but you can get what you need. There is a Discount Grocery and East and Final Grocery close by. Market Place is quite a drive but worth the trip

Pool was perfect. Tia the property manager was in constant contact and on the spot with any requests or questions. Buttonwood is centrally located on the island, so convenient to all day trips. We discovered unbelievable beaches, went to clubs to swim and dine. Food on the island was unbelievable. Not a bad meal anywhere. Do your homework in advance and I highly recommend you listen to the advice the owners/ managers of the property, give you. They were never wrong. Recommended day trips: Harbour Island, French Leave Beach, Rainbow Beach, Surfers Beach. Tippy's for lunch or dinner on the ocean. Friday fish fry in Governors Harbor was a fun night and very good food!
