This was a wonderful little cottage. Very comfortable and easy to access different places in Eugene. The host went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable and provided thoughtful extras like fruit and granola.

With a unique fusion of the best of the old ways, peppered with youthfulness — spiced with vibrancy, engaged minds, eagerness and enthusiasm — such is the flavor of the locale of Carole Carlson’s Eugene cottage.
She welcomes the weary, the anticipatory, the jubilant, those fraught with bittersweet fondness or the sting of saying goodbye, the joy of a Pacific Northwest sojourn — all while experiencing the lush gateway of nature; indulging in the arts and music; immersing oneself into a diverse culture and cuisine; or lazily visiting and imbibing in the harvested fruits fermented into the fine wines of the Willamette Valley vineyards.
Speaking straightforwardly, the two of us could not have found a better place to lay our heads down and stay awhile…Thank you most sincerely, Carole, for your grand hospitality.

What a charming cottage with all the amenities needed. Loved the espresso machine and looking out the window at the garden and pink roses. Will definitely be back. Very sweet hostess.

The cottage was perfect for my husband and I while in town for Parents Weekend at UO. It is situated in a nice neighborhood and walkable to downtown. Carole was very welcoming and the cottage was nice and cozy. We would love to rebook the next time in Eugene.

This studio was a perfect retreat for me during a busy working weekend. Amenities were all just what I needed. Loved the breakfast items that were thoughtfully provided. Flowerbeds around the property are stunning! Quiet, safe neighborhood close to downtown. Will be staying here again.

We arrived later than expected, but our host greeted us and showed us around. Very hospitable and had great recommendations and local knowledge. We stayed 3 nights and we felt she went above and beyond. We would definitely stay there again. The backyard apartment was clean, had laundry, and we appreciated the espresso machine.

This is a cute little studio. It is perfect for one or two people. The garden is beautiful. The host is lovely and is available as much or little as you need. This is a gem!

I began staying at Carole's cottage 5 years ago, and I'm never disappointed. Carole is an ideal host who makes sure her guests have everything they need. The cottage is cozy, comfortable, and in a great location. I'll be back!

Small, well-appointed cottage had everything we needed for a short stay in Eugene! The cottage was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully stocked with coffee, yogurt and granola. The neighborhood is residential and quiet but an easy walk to shops and restaurants. Carole was a lovely host! We'd stay here again if our travels bring us back to Eugene.

We got a warm welcome. Cute cottage surrounded by beautiful garden landscaping. Cozy room with all the amenities of home. Very comfortable bed and plenty of hot water. Full sized refrigerator and bathroom essentials. Great stay for University of Oregon graduation.

Perfect for visiting your student at U of Oregon. Kitchen has everything you might need dor a short stay. My son often napped in the window seat in the afternoon. The A/C was amazing since it was 85F plus.

Our stay at the Cottage was perfect. It was quiet, quaint, comfortable, and had everything you would need for your stay. The location to downtown was great and the neighborhood (and the garden outside of the cottage) was so beautiful. Carole was a wonderful host and although the cottage and her home were close, it was still very private.

We stopped to spend family weekend and go to a ducks game. The cottage was so much nicer than staying in a hotel. The decor was so eclectic and interesting. The owners have clearly lived full lives. The neighborhood is so nice and we felt very safe parking our car there. We could walk to restaurants and had a nice visit with our girl

This property was the perfect spot for me to visit my son. It was in a nice, safe, quiet neighborhood, walking distance to several restaurants (including our favorite find the Bier Stein). It was very well appointed and so cozy. Carole was very friendly and was quick to communicate any time I reached out. Check in was the easiest ever! I would definitely stay again.

Beautifully appointed and maintained little gem. Would have liked mention that it was attached to the back of a garage. Access was not visible from the street which made it a little more complicated for multiple people assigned to picking our guest up be able to easily find the door to the unit. Otherwise, perfect!

The cottage is perfectly located in a quiet and very walkable and lovely neighborhood. The cottage has any amenity that you not only need, but want. There is a wonderful patio for private use as well. We arrived very late and Carole had her delicious homemade granola, yogurt, fruit and coffee for the next morning. When we come again to visit our son, this is the place to stay.

My husband and I were wanting to visit the redwoods for our 41st wedding anniversary and we were so lucky and happy to find the most adorable cottage in a very quaint and walkable location in Eugene. The gardens surrounding it are so beautiful and, as a gardener myself; it was like a slice of home. Carole was so helpful with places to visit and things to do. She is the most lovely host. We were here for almost a week and it felt so comfortable. I can’t say enough about the wonderful experience. You will just have to see for yourself!

This cottage had everything we needed for a great stay, Carol was very accommodating and helped with any questions we had. She had a great coffee bar and her gardens were beautiful!

We were in town for a hectic two weeks of family activity. With the gardens outside and amenities inside the cottage provided a quiet, cozy respite from the hustle and bustle of the day. We even were able to have our young children spend time with us. Carole was the most accomodating host imaginable.

The Cottage
The cottage was a special garden experience. My husband and I enjoyed the peaceful and quiet neighborhood. I especially liked having the washer and dryer and my husband enjoyed the expresso machine. The window seat was a perfect place to read and relax. Carole was a wonderful hostess. We would recommend staying at Carole’s Cottage.

Best place to stay in Eugene!
I (and sometimes my husband) have stayed at Carole's cottage many times over the past four years while our son was a student at UO. Now that our son has graduated, I'm actually sad not to have an excuse to stay here. Carole is a warm, fun, welcoming, and accommodating host. The cottage is exceptionally clean and has everything you need. The location can't be beat! You can walk downtown, to the UO campus, and everywhere in between. And then there's Carole's garden, which is absolutely beautiful! I can't recommend it highly enough!
