My family loved the FishHook cottage on Lake Lanier. It is such a peaceful setting for a vacation. The view of the lake is beautiful. The cottage is charming and equipped with everything you need for your stay. The fire pit is a nice feature. The cottage is conveniently located and within an easy drive to restaurants and grocery stores. Thanks for making our stay in Georgia so special. We hope to return for a longer visit next year.

The location, access, size, amenities were all perfect. We had a fire pit, outdoor swing bench, paddle board, kayak, fishing and swimming access all for our use. The cabin itself can accommodate many for social time with plenty of seating areas. There is a double deck floating dock that hAs even more social seating up top. Sleeps many, but all share one small shower. The owners were very welcoming even down to welcoming our little dog with treats. Very thoughtful. We loved it!

You would never know that pets were allowed at the cottage, everything was super clean. Loved the screened porch & our dog spent lots of time looking out at the lake. It's also very convenient to the Botanical Garden and also restaurants that allow pets. We ate at Skogie's and 2 Dogs - the staff really catered to our dog and we enjoyed the food.

We stayed at Fishhook cabin for the last two weeks and what a blast! We had our four grandchildren with us and there wasn't a dull moment! They woke early and headed down to the sick to fish and jump off the dock. They swam, went kayaking, and paddle boarded until lunchtime them back out in the evening for more fishing. We rented a boat from Ducky's (Don's a great guy, meets you at a local park for pick up/ drop off, and is much more reasonable then gainsville marina) And were able to find a spot in the lake close enough to go tubing without getting lost or having to go too far. The grocery store is just a few minutes away for those necessary ice cream runs and Helen is a nice place to visit to take a break from the sun. Ms. Hemphill was easy to communicate with and replaced a broken table within a day

Fishhook is an amazing place I highly recommend for anyone looking for peace and honestly, transformation. You can find water sports nearby and hiking and waterfalls, but you can also simply connect with your family without ever leaving the property. This is a quiet place with a deep lake and a phenomenal cabin. Swimming, jumping, diving also in this deep lake, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding all without leaving the property! Amazing! My 12 and 13 year old and I had what we all agree was the BEST vacation ever! Our second best was Fishhook two years ago! The Hemphill's are awesome! Debbie is responsive and thoughtful! My12 year daughter Eli and I bought more of the chicken salad from Ingles and she is now bound and determined to make it herself! ❤️ I honestly cannot recommend any other place higher after 15 summers of lake cabins from Wisconsin to Missouri to Tennessee. My kiddos and I are already discussing Fishhook as an every other year escape! We would be there constantly if not for the two day drive! If you are waffling on a place to stay at Lake Lanier, you have found THE place at Fishhook!

Everything in description was spot on. We stayed with our son and two granddaughters and some day visitors. The house is an absolute gem and so very quaint and cozy. The owners were so very easy to communicate with and welcomed us with special treats and note. Checkout was easy. The dock was amazing. We would 100% recommend this house. We loved our time at The FishHook.

What a great lake cabin, we loved everything about it! The house was so well kept, very clean, comfy beds and linens, easy access to the lake and dock, with plenty of space for relaxing! Debbie was great with communication, and appreciated the welcome card and treats very much. We would absolutely recommend staying here and would love to come back!

This was a wonderful place for my family. The location is great. Close to amenities. Debbie was amazing in making sure we were taken care of! My kids said it was the best vacation ever. It’s fairly private, close to the water, and absolutely charming. By far one of the best places we have stayed. It was the complete package.

We had an amazing stay at Fish Hook. The cabin is super cute, comfortable, and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We loved the screened in porch and fire pit for great conversation, The dock was awesome for fishing, swimming and just hanging out. I loved that there was plenty of comfortable seating both inside and outside. The cabin is also in a quiet beautiful cove which was super relaxing! Debbie, the host was so easy to work with and made everything very easy for us. Our family definitely enjoyed this beautiful place and hope to return. This VRBO rental is a winner!

Beautiful Lake House on Lake Lanier. We fished, swam, explored the woods and just relaxed. Our dog had so much fun running into the water and cooling off. The house had everything we needed and we cooked all of our dinners each night. We would definitely stay again!!!

Loved this house! Perfect location on a quiet part of the lake. It was extremely peaceful and quiet and we stayed a whole week. Didn't attempt to fish, but did see quite a few while we were there. Took our kayaks and explored the lake. The water was amazing. One of the things I always search for is the cleanliness of the water and this Lake was great. The double dock was where we spent most of our time reading and swimming and floating. The host was extremely friendly and very communicative. Would 100% come back here again. The steps leading down to the dock are a little bit steep but they're definitely nothing that you can't handle. House was chasm and unique. The screened-in porch with the

Our Family absolutely loves staying at this amazing vacation rental. It is so clean and comfortable the location is amazing and Debbie is an absolutely fantastic host. We will hopefully be back many more times in the future.

Great lake house. Very clean and comfy. Fantastic view of lake from the dock. We were able to easily access Lake Lanier Olympic park for our youth regatta. Had fun playing in the lake and enjoying the view. Slept my family of 6 well. I would definitely recommend and would come back.

My husband and I stayed at Fishhook in March for a long weekend. The minute we drove up, we could see the beautiful view of the lake and dock. Breathtaking. Fishhook is the epitome of a true lakeside cottage- quaint, cozy, rustic yet with all the modern amenities. We loved the indoor wood burning fireplace, and sitting on the porch drinking our morning coffee. The view from the dock’s sun deck is amazing and a great spot to sit or fish! Debbie had everything set up so nice for us and left a surprise welcome note and treat! We will definitely be back!! Thank you for hosting us!

Great little cabin on Lake Lanier with a fire pit overlooking the lake and a dock for your boat. Very clean and the owner was quick to respond to questions. We came up for a few days to hike in the mountains, visit some small towns (Gainesville, Dahlonega, Helen, Cleveland) and view some water falls (Amiacalola Falls, Desoto Falls, Helton Falls) all within an hour of the cabin. We even stopped at BabyLand General Hospital to see some Cabbage Patch Kids. I would recommend this cabin if you are looking to explore northeast GA.

This was everything we were looking for. Everything you could ask for in a vacation home. The dock was perfect for getting to our fishing destinations quickly. Can’t wait to come back.

upon driving down the hill to the house, you could already feel the tranquility of the setting. Parked the car and just got out and looked all around at the beautiful surroundings of the trees and lake view. The fire pit and the grill are an extremely nice touch. The inside of the house also impressed. The wood work reminded me of my family summer home in NY. I would definetly recommend this property and plan to come back again when weather is a bit nicer
