We really enjoyed our stay and the house was perfect for our family and friends that stayed with us. The property manager Dan was very helpful and accommodating. We will stay here again.

Nice big house! We loved the stocked kitchen and many bathrooms. The only downside I would say is that for kids, having the dining room chairs fabric and a glass table was difficult. Also, the lack of seating in the living room space made it difficult to all gather. Overall, it was a great property!

We enjoyed our stay here in Southern shore. Public Beach access was about a 3-4 block walk but they provided a parking pass that we used every day. Even though there were only 6-8 parking spots at the public beach access we never had a problem getting a spot. It is on route 12, that goes to Corolla and Duck so that is a busy road. The only time that was an issue was Sat/Sun when people are moving in/out for the week. Then it just required a little patience, The bottom floor has the game room/kids room/laundry and bathroom. The second floor has one bedroom with an onsuite bathroom and two bedrooms with a jack and jill bathroom, The third floor had the libing room/kitchen and dining space a half bathroom and the master bedroom with an on-suite. The pool was nice but is small-ish. There was a grill that we used. There were 4-5 beach chairs and a beach unbrella that we used. It was a nice place and had everything we needed.

Two families enjoyed our stay at this lovely house. It’s about 1/3 mile walk to the beach and right on a main road, but it came with parking passes that could get you and your beach goods a lot closer to the dunes. Property is well-kept and clean.

Our family finally made it back to the Outer Banks!! There were 11 family members who came and the house was perfect for us! It was a blistering hot week and the pool was a godsend. Surrounded b ay lush forest the pool was mostly shaded in the afternoon. The beach was only a 6 minute walk away which was perfect. There was also a parking pass to my mother and aunt so they didn't have to walk. The costs of ocean front are far too much anymore. The house: clean, kitchen stocked perfectly, puzzles and games in the rec room, and everything else was wonderful! There was an issue with the a/c when we first arrived, sent Dan a text and within an hour the issue disappeared. Dan: awesome man, very quick replies, communicate well, I wish he was the host for all the rentals we've stayed at!! Overall, perfect week!! Did not want to leave.... Thank you Dan!!!

Everything was great and the communication was good. This house was very clean and the decorations throughout the house gave you a tranquil beach vibe. We both walked and drove to the beach, parking was not an issue (passes provided). Yes, it is off of the main road, but crossing to get the beach was not a problem. We used everything (the games, grill, pool, hot tub, jetted bathtub, and mini fridge, washer/dryer) and greatly appreciated! Everything you could need for cooking your own meals is provided. Be sure to read the description of what is provided very carefully. For example, I forgot bath mat/rugs. Kitchen towels were provided, but you need to bring hand towels (thankfully, I read that carefully). I highly recommend this house for your OBX vacation!

We had 3 groups there. One each from TN, CT and WI. Had a great time. Everything as stated in the description. The pool was great. Ran out of propane for the grill but Dan was quick to bring out a refilled one. Nice place to stay.

The house was clean and big. Lots of room for the kids to play. Pool was great!

Very nice set up kid friendly close access to the beach. Host excellent to deal with responded promptly to any question. Would for sure return!

We stayed the week of memorial day and even though the temperature did not go above 70°, we were still able to enjoy ourselves. We enjoyed both the beach, which was only a short 2 block walk and the pool every day. We did not opt to have the pool heated. The owner Dan was easy to contact and he answered our questions. This was the first place that we rented tgat we did not need to use any of our own kitchen ware. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, cookware, pots & pans and electric appliances. I would stay here again.

This property was a really nice stay. Close to Duck and the beach. Well stocked with everything you need. Low internet reception was our only complaint. Would rent this again.

This property was excellent. The house was large and spacious for our family of 5 adults and 3 kids, with plenty to do between the pool, hot tub, and rec room. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The walk to the beach is not bad at all (under 10 minutes) and the walk is through a peaceful neighborhood. The owner, Dan, was extremely easy to communicate with and was very helpful. I contacted him during our stay about something minor with the trash and he came over and handled it that day (though he didn't need to bother, we did appreciate it!). We were quite glad to stay here and would definitely recommend it to others.

Dan was amazing from the beginning - he responded quickly to all questions right away The property was Amazing - Pictures did not do it Justice. The Pool was warm and enviting with plenty of room for our group to hang out, swim, grill & chill all together. All of the bedrooms were spacious and the beds were so comfortable - the living room/kitchen/dining combo were large and our group enjoyed being able to hang out and cook together and entertain. The short walk to the beach was amazing and the guest passes to park close if needed were wonderful as well. Our granddaughter loved the park that was a short walk around the corner. If you are looking for a great place don't pass this one by it is exactly as it appears and the Host is the Best

We LOVED our week in Southern Shores. What a great property and terrific location. Dan is a super host and we would stay with him again for sure. It was an overall great week.

Great location. Very clean everything you needed in kitchen. Even a crockpots. A lot of seating inside and outside. Would rent again if we have a chance. 10 stay plus 7 others come over dinners. Enough room for all.

We were a group of three families. 6 adults, 2 teenagers and a three year old. Plenty of room, place was very nice, and clean, Dan was very easy to reach. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate it was rainy and or cloudy everyday, but one. Seeing it was our first time to Outer Banks we investigated the area and did mostly other events then pool and beach. We took a tour to Corolla to see horses, visited Aquarium, a fishing excursion for boys and two different escape rooms. Everyone had a blast. Pool and spa were very nice for the few times we were able to use them. Southern Pleasures was very nice!

The property was clean and as advertised! We enjoyed the pool every day and everything was comfortable.

The house was perfect for our vacation. Location was great and so close to the beach. Dan, the owner, was super quick to respond to any questions. We had a wonderful time celebrating my parent's 50th anniversary. Would love to visit again.

Our stay was perfect! Kitchen was equipped with everything needed. Beds were very comfortable and the home was very clean. We loved the decks and the screened in section. We even seen a deer walk through the wooded area while we were on the third floor deck. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the beach with an option to drive down with a parking pass. We enjoyed our time here!

We had an excellent time. The house was plenty big for 8 adults. Dan was very responsive when we thought we were running out of propane for the gas grill. Very happy with everything.

The house was everything we thought it would be! It ended up being very windy all week with temps in the upper 50s most of the week with some rain. Not the best weather for a trip to the beach. Spent a lot of time at the house. Fortunately, we had plenty of room, the pool was heated, and we had a hot tub! Dan was a great host! He made sure we had everything we needed for our stay and answered my text in a timely manner when I had a question. Kitchen was well stocked which was good because we did a lot of cooking at the house. Overall, I give this place a 5 out 5! We would definitely stay here again!

I do not have enough space to say just how amazing this home was! The listing just doesn’t do it justice- it was totally spotless, private, stocked with everything we needed and more! We had so much fun in the pool and hot tub. There’s a wonderful propane grill and fully stocked kitchen. My kids were over the moon with all the fun board games and books! This home really went above and beyond our expectations! So happy we chose this home for our beach trip!

My family’s stay at Southern Shores was amazing. The house had absolutely everything we needed. The kitchen was stocked with everything cooking need you could ever have. I also appreciate the owners quick responses to my questions!! Definitely 5 stars!!!

Great house, very clean and comfortable. Pool and hot tub were great, and option to heat the pool for our early autumn stay was great. Like others mentioned, it is on a busy road, but it was not an issue. Appreciated parking passes to park close to the beach when needed. Southern Shores is a nice location in the OBX, close to everything but not crowded. Would recommend staying here!

Our family of 10, 5 adults & 5 kids, had a great time at the house. The layout is good, with bedrooms and bathrooms being idea for multi-generational family. The walk to the beach is easy and out family even walked into Duck one day. The pool and hot tub were nice during the days we couldn't swim in the ocean. Our family had a great time. Dan was easy to reach out to and provided all the information we needed for our stay.
