We loved this little cabin on the water! The location was great. Something to note, I think it would be more accurate to call this a 2 bedroom home and loft with an additional 3 beds but those areas do not have the privacy of a door. It's a cozy cabin perfect for a small group, we really enjoyed our time and the comforts of home while we were there!

This is a very small cottage with a drop down set of stairs for access to the second floor. 3-4 people would be fine, anything more would be too tight to manage. Location is awesome with nice docks and waterfront access. You can easily walk into the small village for breakfast. While you can hear cars and trucks going by, at night the sound of the dam’s waterfall is very soothing. Overall we enjoyed the cottage and bass fishing.

Great location close to town but also plenty of room. Nice to have the boats and the dock to use. Inside of the cabin is very quaint. Everyone loved it.

Was everything we expected and more! Beautiful waterfront, close by hiking trails for the dogs, canoe/kayaking, birds/nature and pure relaxation! We will definitely return!

This is the third time we’ve stayed at Waterfall Cabin and it won’t be the last. We love the proximity to Day’s Store and everything in The Village. Being right on the water is a bonus and something not to be taken for granted. We appreciate everything about it. Thanks for opening up your home!

We had a terrific stay at Waterfall cottage. The views were spectacular and the cottage was cozy, clean, and well equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed the fires in the beautiful fireplace on the cool October nights. This place is very dog friendly and we were comfortable with them in the house and in the yard. Having great hiking trails just 2 minutes away was a huge plus for us. We also were thrilled to be within walking distance of downtown and the Day's Store, and just a 5 minute drive to a great organic farm and farm stand (Winterberry Farm).The owners were super and very responsive. My wife (now my wife) and I had come to Belgrade to elope and the owners left an unexpected and beautiful wedding gift for us on the table, which touched us both very much.

Waterfall Cottage is an idyllic spot to nourish the soul. In this chaotic year of 2020, I needed a break from the news and the strangeness of this pandemic-stricken world. My two dogs accompanied me and we immersed ourselves in the rhythms of the lake and watched as summer turned into fall. The cabin is very comfortable and clean with all the amenities one would need. The property is in close proximity to Day's Store, where they make the most delicious strawberry-rhubarb pie! I also ordered a take-out meal from the nearby Village Inn & Tavern, where they specialize in roast duck with many different sauce choices. I chose wild blueberry and it was amazing! I haven’t been to Belgrade Lakes since I was a teenager and now, I brought my husband and daughter to share how special it is. The location was perfect, walkable to everything you need (general store, park, restaurants) and felt very safe. The dock was pristine and the sunsets were the best- we feel lucky to have found this rental.

This cabin was an adorably decorated little cabin but it left much to be desired. "Classic Maine Cottage" means tiny, old kitchen and bathroom, tired old furniture (which potently smells of dog), not the greatest mattresses and don't forget the MICE. This IS your grandfather's lake house which is both good and bad. Road noise from trucks driving on the county road just behind the house become apparent at 5 am. Until then, the waterfall sounds great. Your kids under 10 will love this place- you and your spouse however, may long for the comfort of home. Finally, pray for good weather because if there are more than 2 people in this tiny cabin it will feel claustrophobic especially when using the kitchen! Internet and TV are good. The neighbors are kind and helpful.

Waterfall cottage is compact but set up perfectly for a few people or a group! Beautiful weather allowed us to sit outside and visit before a fun wedding weekend!

I cannot express enough how wonderful our stay was! My husband and I were a little weary of how much of a “vacation” it would actually feel like, having our 2 year old and 8 month old in tow, but we were pleasantly surprised with how relaxing our trip was. The cabin was cozy and well equipped. The sound of the waterfall was soothing, Proximity to town very convenient and best of all its lake front property provided endless entertainment for kids and adults alike. Best of all the dock was a prime location to take in a different breathtaking sunset every day. Long Pond is truly a magical place! Neighbors were friendly and Amanda was great to communicate with. Thank you Zink Family for providing us with great memories with the kids :)

Very nice and quaint property. Lake was warm and the kids had a blast. Great amenities like Kayak’s and fishing poles. Highly recommend!

We stayed at the Waterfall Cottage for Colby Family Weekend. The cabin was cozy with a wonderful wood burning fireplace. The sunsets were beautiful. The owner was easy to contact and very helpful. Our stay was fantastic.

My family and I rented the waterfall cottage for the 2nd time this past august and enjoyed it more than last year. The kids were so excited to go back because of all the fun they had last year and could not wait to fish and swim off the dock and have fun. The cottage is so clean and kid friendly and the sound of the waterfall is relaxing. Cant wait to come back next year!

This place is AMAZING!!. My family and I stayed here in August, It was our first time to the Waterfall Cottage but our Millionth time to Belgrade Village. I just want to say that it was such a beautiful cottage inside and outside, the kids had a blast swimming and fishing off the dock and the adults had a blast being able to relax and and enjoy the laughter of the kids.. It so close to the little town and Days store. We all loved it and wish we could of stayed longer..

July 2013 will be my third vacation at the Waterfall Cottage. I think it's ideal, the perfect mix of a quiet lakeside retreat and easy access to the village. The water temperature is perfect for long swims. There's a canoe to paddle across the lake and look for loons, ospreys and eagles. Day's Market, where you can get everything from Bloody Mary fixings to great lobster rolls, is a short walk over the bridge. The front porch of the cabin is a wonderful, peaceful place to have morning coffee and read, write and think. There are four comfortable sleeping areas- two with queens and two with twins. The bedrooms downstairs have doors. The upstairs areas are separated by the balcony walkway - and cushioned by the white noise of the waterfall. I stay upstairs and find it private and comfortable. The shared area in front of the cabin is rarely used by the other residents of the Gilman Loop - so it's private and offers a large open area for picnics and cookouts.

The Waterfall cottage is ideal for friends and family. It's right on long pond. It sleeps eight comfortably. There's an outdoor picnic table that's great for dinner. I spent my time on the dock, in my kayak, in the canoe and in the water. It's also close to town and to Day's Market where you can get anything. Perfect!

Hi Amanda: Just want to tell you that your cabin was fabulous. What an incredible location. We were wondering if you rent in September, later, after Labor Day when the crowds think. The weather was amazing for May in Maine. Actually hot away from the lakes. Tom and I went canoeing on Parker Pond and spent over a half hour with a pair of loons not 5 feet away from us. It was incredible. I have never been that close to them. They even called to us. I think it was my black and white striped top I had on. I have to wear it next time and see. Guess I was the biggest loon they ever saw!!!! Anyway, thank you. Have a great summer and hope we can get back up there in September. I bet the view is amazing in the fall. Take care, Claire and Tom

We enjoyed our stay at the WaterFall cottage. It was very peacefula nd Quiet! Our grandson loved the swimming, and spent his days in the water. The water was quiet too, there were some boats, but not an influx of them. The cottage was very comfortable, there were little notes everwhere to cover any problems that may arise. WE had a great two weeks in Belgrade, and loved the country store down the street.
