This was an amazing rental property. Plenty of privacy. The entire unit was very nicely decorated. Right in downtown Cruz Bay with easy access to all the local bars/restaurants downtown. We took advantage of their car rentals which was very convenient for getting around the island. Donald was amazing. It is obvious that he is extremely passionate about the island and has a wonderful rental unit. He picked us up from the ferry dock and was able to give us plenty of great information about things to do on the island. We were even able to meet multiple other guests who have been staying with him for years. Overall a great experience and would definitely return for another visit.

I have been to St. John numerous times, but this was my first time staying at Amore Loft Studio. The whole experience staying here was wonderful! Donald is a kind and gracious host with an amazing attention to detail, that did not go unnoticed and was very much appreciated. The studio apartment was spotless and we had a very comfortable sleep at night. Not to mention, the location is perfect for walking to everything in town if you do not want to rent a car. It certainly was a plus being able to rent a car through Donald because we love to travel the whole island during our stay and the car rental experience was seamless. He also has a wonderful staff. We will be back! : )

We spent six days/five nights at Amore Loft Studio and enjoyed it very much. The location was great - convenient to walk to anywhere in Cruz Bay. The decor in the loft was charming. Bed was very comfortable. Donald and his staff were immediately available for questions. Easily rented a car for one day. Beach chairs and coolers provided. Will definitely stay here again on next trip to St. John. Thanks Donald!!!

The property was just what we needed! Went on Saint John we don’t need a lot of space so the rental had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the room was super clean. Even with two full size bags and packing our own snorkeling equipment, we had plenty of space. Three stand out things: the location could not be more convenient for walking to dinner and groceries, renting the jeep in conjunction with the suite made that step super easy, and the owner has all sorts of extras available for use, such as beach, chairs, coolers, floats, and more. We had a fantastic time and will definitely visit again!

Really enjoyed my stay. The property is beautiful just as described and Donald is super kind and friendly and offered lots local tips. Highly recommend!

Clean, friendly, easy walk to Cruz bay, and quiet.

Our apartment was full of personal touches and beautiful pottery. Lots of authentic artwork and lovely plants outside. Only short walk away from Cruz Bay restaurants and shopping. The owner also helped us with the jeep rental which was super convenient. We will definitely be back. This feels like home away from home.

Our stay was amazing! The location is perfect. Don and Deb were excellent host. We were a short walking distance to some very good restaurants and shopping. We rented a Jeep from them which allowed us to explore the island. I am so glad we chose their Amore loft for our lodging. We can’t wait to return!

Our stay at the Amore Loft was a pleasure. The place has an artistic, bohemian vibe which I prefer over the cookie cutter 1 BR modern condo. The interior is all stone and marble with lots of art and wall hangings. Very clean and well stocked; Donald & Debbie, our hosts, were gracious and helpful. The location is practically downtown Cruz Bay—you are only a block from the restaurants and two blocks from the bay and the ferry landing. Very local, neighborhood area. Very walkable, but suggest renting a Jeep to reach the beaches & explore the island.

This location cannot be beat! Walking distance to to everything in Cruz Bay (ferry dock, restaurants, dive boat, etc.). The ambiance of the front porch and decor of the room are lovely. I love that there was options to recycle and all of the efforts made by the owners to be sustainable. Donald made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay unforgettable. I would highly recommend staying in the amore building for your St. John stay! Thanks again for everything, Donald!

The Amore Loft Studio was an awesome spot for my fiancée and I's recent stay on St. John. You'll be hard pressed to beat the location, and it is generally well accommodated for a studio. You might have a hard time making meals at home, but we prefer to go out and experience the bars/restaurants of St. John, so it was perfect for us. Never had a problem getting in touch with the owners and everything was in great working order. A lot of work went into the Amore building and the Loft Studio and it really makes you feel like you're at home on an island. We would highly recommend!

Donald and Deborah were great hosts, and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The villa was great, and had everything we needed for our week long stay. The location is great as well, allowing us to walk to all of the shops and restaurants in Cruz Bay. Cannot wait to stay here again!

The Studio Amore was in the heart of town. Inside; beautiful, clean, artsy, comfy and full of little items you need for a vacation. The owner was the kindest man. He picked us up from the port and as soon as we got to the house we realized our backpack was left on the St Thomas ferry port. He took us back to the ferry dock and found a person to call there. Luckily they found it and brought it back untouched. The island is an absolute heaven for us and we look forward to many more visits. Thank you for your hospitality! Anna & Brad

Donald Schnell who owns Artistic Villas in Cruz Bay agreed to rent his Amore Studio and Suite to our family of 4 even though it was for 2 nights. Both units were lovely, great in town location, walk to everything, very clean and beautifully decorated. We had to leave island early due to an inpending hurricane/tropical storm and Mr. Schnell was gracious enough to let us out of our second night with no penalty. This is unheard of in this day and age! I would not hesitate to recommend these properties to a solo traveler, couple or family. When I plan to stay in town again I definitely will look into these units first for availability. You are the best Mr. Schnell!

I spent two weeks of my "staycation" at the beautiful and quaint Amore. Italian mets Caribbean décor and flare. Tons of plants fill the long porch that leads to your room and this is where I enjoyed coffee each morning. I kept the windows open, and the fan was enough to circulate the air. The street was a little noisy but I am use to that kind of noise. If the windows are shut, you cannot hear the noise. The staff was constantly friendly and very helpful as well. The Amore is just a 2 minute walk away from the hustle bustle of Cruz Bay. There was no hassle to go out for meals/drinks each night. I found myself eating breakfast and lunch in the suite. The kitchenette is perfect for small meals (no stove). Right next door is a wonderful bakery for breakfast and lunch called Baked in the Sun. I even worked from the room for a few hours day. Internet was very reliable, and the 4G signal is strong... this is a plus on St. John for you will find you do not have service everywhere. I would recommend this accommodation for a lone traveler, adventure seeker, couples on a romantic getaway, and those traveling without a car. The Lind Trail leading to Solomon Beach, Honeymoon Beach, and Caneel Bay was just 10 min walk away, and the trail is a easy hike. I found myself doing that each day. When I return to St. John, I now know exactly where to stay.... the Amore!
