Our group of 11 had a wonderful time spending the Christmas holidays at this cabin. The host was fabulous with communication and check in/out was super easy. We will definitely be back.

Property was very private and had a large grassy area by the river that the kids could play on. House was nicely stocked and beds were comfortable. Would stay here again.

This was perfect for what we needed. Will look forward to utilizing the river tubes on our next stay. The view of the river was perfect. Loved the ability to wade into the water. Perfect depth for me and the grandsons. Home was well supplied with everything we needed for a long weekend. Looking forward to a return visit in the summer months!

We really fell in love with the river. The road in front of the house is not a main road, barely used. This home is one of the best stocked homes we’ve stayed at. We enjoyed tubing, fishing and relaxing while cooking hotdogs and s’mores in the fire pit. We highly recommend this home. It was a wonderful time with family.

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. We spent hours tubing down the mile long float that runs in front of the house - over and over again! Made easy because we had two cars for shuttling and the owners’ tubes were great. Then we did a day riding the Virginia Creeper trail, renting bikes in White Top. And then of course s’mores on the porch gas fire pit in the evening. Wonderfully relaxing and fun! Thank you for sharing your lovely cabin with us!

This house was perfect for our large group. The owners went out of their way to make sure the house was equipped for our needs inside and outside. Most of the days were spent on the porch overlooking the river. The kids and adults tubed, paddle boarded, kayaked and swam in the river all week. The town of West Jefferson is adorable and great for shopping.

We have stayed in many VRBO's. This one was by far the best equipped with kitchen, bath, games and outdoor equipment we have ever stayed at. We would definitely recommend this home to others. Just a few items to tell the homeowners. We found some kind of animal droppings on the screen door leading to the room with the rocking chairs. Mold is beginning to develop in both showers, and the sheets in the back king room were a bad fit and very loose. These are minor issues ....we really had a great time.

We loved this comfy cabin right on the river. It fit all 9 of us and had all the amenities we needed, such as washer/dryer and grill. The last few days it rained, but it was great sitting on the covered porch watching the rain and river flow. At night the fireflies lit up the mountains in a way that we have never seen before.

We had a great time celebrating our son's high school graduation with our extended family from SC. The cabin had everything that we needed. We were hoping to enjoy the water, but the weather didn't cooperate for us (light rain most of the time). Sitting on the porch was very peaceful and relaxing.

We had an absolute blast touring the surrounding areas, going snow tubing, ice skating and just relaxing on property. Our foster girls have never seen snow before, so this trip was filled with new memories.

We used this property to house my wedding guests and groomsmen. They loved the view and had enough beds to sleep all of my hoodlums. We really appreciate Debbie!

Six adults and two children, ages 5 & 9, stayed. The cabin was very clean, and the owner was extremely accessible and responsive over the 2 minor questions we had upon arrival. My husband fashioned a fire ring from river rocks and our son in law created makeshift steps from large flat river rocks for a little better river access for the old (me) and the young ones. The area is very pretty and within 10-15 miles of shopping, restaurants and groceries. We were invited to tube with the neighbors and enjoyed the company of Jim and Laura going down the river one afternoon. We wanted to walk but felt a little intimidated by the private property and no trespassing signs so we kept to the immediate area. The river was a little low which actually worked perfectly for kayaking with the grandkids!

We had a great time with our family on the New River. The house was perfect, felt like we were at home. If your not familiar with staying in mountains you need to remember it is a good drive back to a store. The little town of Lancing
and West Jefferson are great for a visit.

Clean, well-stocked, river views! Owner was very friendly and check-in was easy. We went tubing, rode to the nearby towns (15-ish mins of mountain roads) of Mt. Jefferson and Lansing, and did some hiking. Great spot for a quick get-a-way.

Perfect getaway
This was our 3rd or 4th stay with Al and Debbie. We love the cabin and the location. Everything you could ever think you need is at your fingertips. Thank you both for another amazing visit, we hope to see you again next year!

Beautiful and quiet property.
Lovely home in a quiet wooded neighborhood. Big enough for our party of 10. Very clean and comfortable.

Marvelous for family tubing and kayaking; no dangerous water on the sections that we traveled(7mi)
Very comfortable; but not the crystal cathedral. It had everything we needed for our stay. We like to cook breakfast and would suggest an upgrade of one or two skillets. We invite your attention to the bathroom tub which is draining slowly; and to the beginning of a hornet nest on the south eave(carport) of the house. We were there over the July 4th weekend, and multiple generator noise from the campground directly across the river diminished our enjoyment of the front porch where several guest spent most of each day. Nonetheless we will definitely return to the cabin.

Great place for a team retreat!
We had an amazing stay at the cabin on the river! We can as a team for business and left as a family! The cabin is gorgeous and having it right next to the river was so fun! We did tube and do tons of team building activities!
Communication with Al and Debbie was amazing and very responsive!! We loved our stay and hope to be back soon!

Great location to spend some quality family time. The house is very well equipped and taken care of but we spent most of our time on the porch or by the river. Short drive to stores and restaurants but far enough away that you felt like you were away from the world’s craziness for a little while. We would return to this spot. Great time had by all!

We so enjoyed our stay at the Bandy’s cabin! We felt blessed to have been able to experience their piece of heaven, from the river right outside to the deer traveling by. I wished for snow but am thankful that there wasn’t any with some of the surrounding hills. We went ATV riding and horseback riding…. Be prepared and book early our- zip lining excursion was canceled due to our guide being sick so wasn’t able to rebook . Will definitely stay here again in the future, the Bandy’s have anything and everything you could possibly need and then some!! Thanks so much what Amazing HOSTS!

We so enjoyed our stay at the Bandy’s cabin! We felt blessed to have been able to experience their piece of heaven, from the river right outside to the deer traveling by. I wished for snow but am thankful that there wasn’t any with some of the surrounding hills. We went ATV riding and horseback riding…. Be prepared and book early our- zip lining excursion was canceled due to our guide being sick so wasn’t able to rebook . Will definitely stay here again in the future, the Bandy’s have anything and everything you could possibly need and then some!! Thanks so much what Amazing HOSTS!

We had a excellent time at the Cabin, instructions for everything we clearly noted, the place was very clean and Debbie was very easy to work with. We will definitely be back, I highly recommend staying there!😊
