This place has more than just basics. Beyond clean and comfortable, small details made it great for a week stay. Treats in the refrigerator, lots of hangers in the closet, detergent for the laundry (next door), cooler, clear and detailed instructions, and much more.

We used this apartment as a jumping-off point, not only to Acadia National Park, but also up the northeast coast toward Canada for a day trip. We arrived to find lots of goodies, including farm fresh eggs, milk, orange juice, and pie waiting for us. And we had plenty of seclusion, but the owners were always easily accessible when we had a question. One tip - check out the notebook when you arrive. It's got lots of great information about what's close and what's good in the area, and you'll be better off if you spend 5 minutes with that information when you arrive. This place is about 20-30 minutes from Acadia (maybe more, depending on traffic), but to be away from the crowds, and in a spacious apartment with lots of room, in the evening was well worth it.

We stayed here in October and we loved it! Most important for us—the place was very clean! It was convenient to all attractions (15-30 minutes). Denise left us all the staples—fresh milk, eggs, bread, butter, juice and a yummy rhubarb pie! Well stocked with everything else you would have at home. Towels and linens seemed new, and the apartment was roomy yet cozy. Perfect place to stay. Thank you Denise for everything! Look forward to staying again!

The apartment was great, as was the location. It was worth the short drive from the park to get away from the crowds to this peaceful retreat. The owner was very nice and welcoming, she even made sure we had some basic supplies like milk, bread, eggs and coffee in the fridge when we got there. I would definitely recommend this rental as a home base to explore the area.

This is an amazing place to stay! My husband and I stayed for 6 nights and even he loved it. It’s located right off 1A in Ellsworth, that has lots of stuff around. The info book in the apartment was great at recommending places to eat and things to see. It’s an easy (30 minutes) to Acadia and/or Bangor and only about 45 minutes from the Schoodic part to Acadia. The apartment was comfortable and clean and has so many modern amenities (WiFi, smart TV, iPod speakers). The owners left all sorts of treats for us (milk, juice, coffee, eggs, bread, muffins) and there were all kinds of condiments and spices that we could use! The place was also immaculately clean! I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone! Five stars!!!

This apartment was wonderful. Added touches by Wendy the property manager included cream, bread, eggs, orange juice and muffins - what a wonderful surprise. Well equipped kitchen lots of space. Comfortable beds. We will come back to this spot again. Had a wonderful week hiking in Acadia National Park. Being able to buy fresh seafood across the street was an added bonus.

We enjoyed the apartment. It had everything stated in description. The treats left to get started were appreciated. It was 30 min. From Acadia, where we went each day. It was very clean and modern. We brought our dog. The wifi was intermittent and getting local news was a challenge. We would stay here again.

We loved everything about this apartment. Our 2 year old loved the easel and chickens and the lobster shack across the street was convenient and a great price! The drive to the National Park was not bad either. We left each day around 9:15 and we were hiking by 10! We would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a more affordable option than Bar Harbor. And the fresh eggs, butter, bread, and muffins were a great touch!

Wendy, the property manager, is very helpful. She provided us with helpful information regarding taxi service for a family wedding. The apartment had everything we needed, and they even provided necessities like milk, butter, bread, coffee!

We enjoyed staying in this Ellsworth residence from July 16 to Aug. 5. It is a comfortable, bright, and cheerful residence. The owners and property manager are ready to provide an item you might need......like a cooking spice! The outdoor environment includes chickens, ducks, dogs, and birds. They all provided an interesting environment. We were pleased to stay so close to our relatives. Thank you!

It was a great home base for our daily outings. Owners were on sight but not intrusive. She even left us fresh eggs. The bed was comfy.

We felt right at home in this spacious and nicely furnished apartment. The owners live right near the property and were so helpful and quickly responsive to any question or need we had.The location was perfect for visiting Acadia NP. We would love to come back and stay in this apartment again if we ever visited this area of Maine again!

Had everything we needed. Even gave us beach towels upon request and recommended places for swimming. We cooked all our meals and the kitchen had everything necessary. The owner gave us fresh eggs from their chickens, yum! I would recommend.

A clean and comfortable place to stay in Ellsworth, ME. My family stayed here for 2 weeks and it was an awesome experience. It's on highway A1 and thus offers a very convenient location to explore Bangor, Bar Harbor, Ellsworth, Lamoine, Orono, Bucksport, etc. Also, there are convenient stores, gas stations, Dunkin Donut, Fuddruckers, and Dorr lobster shop- all at walking distance from the unit. So, a great location!! It's spacious enough for a small family and there is a queen size bed and two twin beds. The bedroom is upstairs with 4 roof windows and we just loved it! They have a small kid's station with pencils, crayons, drawing board, puzzles, and games to keep the small ones busy!! A fully furnished kitchen with decent inventory of cooking pots, pans, prep vessels, knives, measuring cups, mixers and cutlery. Yup, you have everything to cook and eat lobsters!!! The living room is spacious enough with a sofa-bed, computer desk and accent chair. There are two TVs, one in the living room and one in the bed room. It's a Roku TV. The best part is the backyard!!! You can go on small trails and there is a small pond full of ducks, and you will also see some maple trees in the backyard. The owners live next door and the property manager is awesome and sweet. She answer your questions and needs very promptly and effectively. We got some fresh eggs too! We will definitely book the unit when our family and friends visit us and highly recommend it if you are planning for a vacation for a few days in down-east Maine.

We stayed at this apartment 3 days, and felt welcomed by the atmosphere of the apartment but were definitely given our space. The best part were the little amenities that went above and beyond expectations (a bottle of home-collected maple syrup!). Priced right, and close to Acadia, this was the perfect spot to experience Maine.
