The house is very cute, clean and the property managers are wonderful. They are kind and available as needed. The only reason i did not give 5 stars accross the board was proximity to airport. I didn't think to look at map but house is literally under takeoff so you hear loud plan noises throughout the day and night. If you are used to this and that doesn't bother you this house is perfect. Great location. 7 minute drive from everything. Beach is not walking distance.

Perfect except, it is directly in the route for planes taking off from the San Diego Airport. This could be rather loud at times.

We had a great time on vacation and really enjoyed the house. We also loved the backyard. Great for the dogs! The beach is less than a mile away so we got a lot of walking in. Nice to get out of the Arizona heat!

Overall this was a great stay at Dog Beach area, the house was well equipped with everything needed! The kitchen a little small but had everything needed to make dinner. The backyard is really nice and clean. We had dinner every night in the backyard.

My family of 4 plus pets had a wonderful stay and appreciated all the little details put out by the homeowners. Thank you!

This house was perfectly located by dog beach. Our dogs loved it. The back patio was a perfect place to chill and relax.

I had a work trip bring me to San Diego. As my daughter lives here I thought it would be nice to rent a dog friendly house so she and her dog could stay with me instead of me staying in a hotel or sleeping on her couch. The house was very convenient, comfortable to hang out to watch tv and walking distance to restaurants and the dog beach. I loved that the owners stock the house with shampoo, laundry detergent and fridge/pantry basics. It was also super nice to have parking that is not shared! I will definately stay here next time in town!

I am a local that lives nearby this house and we wanted to book a rental house nearby for Christmas. I live in a one bedroom apartment and don't have enough space to put up my mom sister and her dog. This place was wonderful! Great location and a wonderful yard for the dogs. We spent a lot of time back there as the weather was 77 and sunny over Christmas. . The hosts were wonderful and super accommodating. The house is Comfy and cozy. Has everything you need. I only have a few suggestions and this is me being picky. I would have more basics available like olive oil, sugar etc. Blinds need repair, and couches are sorta cold and uncomfy. However, I get that it is a dog friendly property and the less cloth furniture the better. Overall 5 stars for sure and would recommend to anyone wanting a great San Diego beach vacation. Just make sure you bring condiments. :)

We had a blast going to sea world and the zoo

Overall enjoyed this home. The location to the beach and several coffee and food places was amazing. The property is as pictured on the listing, which is nice because there are no surprises. My elderly dad stayed here with me after his surgery. While we made it work it may not be the most ideal for elderly or someone with mobility issues (coming and going from home with steps and no assistance bars in the bathroom. The one story and open living space worked great though for mobility issues) Again we made it work and knew what the property offered with this prior to booking. The house is clean and the beds were comfy and warm. It was a bit chilly during my stay but the living room furnace and room heaters helped with that. We also had 2 dogs and the fenced front and backyard were wonderful and the biggest selling point for us. Not make it or break it things but would be nice to upgrade in the future; the blinds in the restroom were broken and could only open them so much to get the light in and the 2 chairs with cushions on the outside deck were old and dirty looking. That being said, the chairs worked and we enjoyed sitting outside. The deck also offered a picnic table. As mentioned in other reviews, the home is on a busy street with car traffic and people walking. It didn’t bother us much, just take time to pull in and out of the driveway. The departing planes also take off above the house but again it wasn’t too bothersome for us. I would consider staying here again!

The place was cute, beds were comfy. The fenced yard and proximity to the dog beach were a major plus since we had our furry friend. The place is pictured accurately, and there are some nice amenities. From the pictures and description, one can't tell that the houses are very close together. Voltaire is a busier street than I realized. Airplane noise has got to be a problem throughout the Ocean Beach area. We found it was essential to wear ear plugs at night and close every window for sleeping. Once we made that adjustment we were very comfortable.

Cute bungalow, ideal for a couple or small family traveling with dogs. Easy walking distance to OB, Dog Beach, or Point Loma Portal area.

The property was just perfect for my daughter and me. We walked to the beach everyday. There are so many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Michael and Tania were so helpful and responsive. Thank you so much for a delightful stay in your lovely home.

Simple accomodations in a great spot walkable to the beach and resturants.

The house is in a great neighborhood. Walking distance to several locations, beaches, food, shops or just take a nice walk through the neighborhood. Private driveway for parking, fenced yards (front and back) provide a place to unwind and enjoy a beverage. The hosts provide coffee, towels, shampoo, soap and laundry facilities. We loved the location, house and how responsive the hosts were when I had questions. The check in process was flawless. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again! Thank you!!!!

What a great time! Ocean air, close to restaurants, grocery stores, bars, etc. Mike and Tania were extremely accommodating and so quick to respond to any questions. We spent most of our time in the backyard (we brought our dog) watching the birds, and just relaxing. This is a great place to stay whether your goal is to be on the go, or just hang out and enjoy the weather. The house is adorable and has everything you need. The beds are super comfy.... we LOVED it!

A nice spot for a week in OB! Tough to beat the price point. AC's in the rooms were nice a cold, though we rarely used them anyway. The enemy of good is better and the owners could easily spend some money making this place REALLY REALLY nice, but it would also make the rental rate much more expensive. It's a nice place with responsive owners and fits the OB vibe.

Dog beach is less than a mile away. Both front and back yard are fenced for the dogs. Comfortable bed and plenty of towels and washcloths. Dedicated parking spot. Little bust street at times but overall great place

Mike and Tania are great hosts! We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Loved being close to the beach and Sunset Cliffs and Dog Beach for Bodee!

The location was perfect. Could walk to the dog beach and human beach easily. The co-op was very close, too. Also close to little shops and restaurants. There’s a little thrift store that I highly recommend. And I got a perfectly good blt and Bloody Mary at the old townhouse diner (?). Highly recommend. Would go back. The place was clean and spacious. It’s a pet friendly spot but had NO dog smell. It was well-stocked w coffee, and pots and pans, and clean towels, and things like that. The beds were VERY comfortable (my friend tried to find a tag to get the brand, haha) and the pillows were baby bear, not to big and hard, not to small and soft. Juuuust right. It was only weird (but totally fine) bc to get to the backyard (from inside) you had to go through one of the bedrooms. Which worked out for us fine, but if someone is a late sleeper and you want to get out there, which you DO, BECAUSE ITS BEAUTIFUL AND PERFECTLY PRIVATE, just don’t put them in that room! So yeah, the backyard: plenty of space to throw a ball for your dog, great deck w a picnic table to eat outside and chairs to just sit and read or drink your coffee or beer. And there’s a grill! We didn’t use it, though. But there’s a grill! And also a hummingbird lives around there. It’s pretty cute. What else can I say? I’d stay there again for sure. You can hear the planes overhead. But put some white noise on and you’re good. Five out of five.

The hosts were very proactive, and even offered early check in and left many things in the house all for guest use. Loved the front and back yard for the pups.. If you have dogs and want to go to the beach, this is the place for you. Dog beach and a nice dog park within a mile walk.

The weather and location was the best! Close to shopping and the beach. I loved having a private yard. Thank you so much for everything, will definitely stay here again.

Property was great. Exactly what we were looking for. Good place for our dogs to run in the yard and gracious hosts. Make no mistake, the street and air is busy, but we knew what we were getting into and in San Diego, you aren't spending much time in the house anyway, there is just too much to get out and do, and this place is near a lot of it!

Great location away from the noise of central Ocean Beach, but still close to everything. Everything you need for a stress free vacation.

Perfect place to go to. Plenty of room inside and out and had all necessary items to feel like I was home.

The home was as advertised, there was a grocery store a short drive away, the beach (and dog beach) was very close to the property. We had some slight trouble getting the door opened but thankfully the owners lived close enough to notice us and came and helped us out! Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay somewhere close enough to the beach but also not near the huge crowd of beach goers. We will definitely be back!
