We had a great stay for the 2nd straight year. House is great, has everything u need. The weather wasn’t the best, but the covered outdoor space saved the day. If you like to fish we caught ALOT of fish right from the dock. 2-3lb smallmouth and largemouth, panfish too. We hope to be back again next summer!!

We all had a good time at the lake house. Used the kayaks several times. Plenty of items in the pantry if you like to cook. Saw a deer in the backyard one day. Only downside is there is house construction going on close by so you might hear noise depending upon when your stay occurs.

My family had a great time. The house matched the description and pictures well. The lake was gorgeous. The neighborhood was quiet. It was exactly what we were looking for!

Great location directly across the street from copake cc. The restaurant at golf was just renovated and delicious. The entertaining area of the house was perfect.

Geat week with siblings. Plenty of room for all 6 of us plus 3 spouses. Kitchen, bathroom and laundry fully stocked. Pantry stocked with staples. Host was very responsive to all our concerns.

Our stay at Copake Lake was fantastic. The house offered wonderful, homey accommodations, a well stocked kitchen, a fireplace, a deck with a view, multiple fire stations outside...It was a wonderful place to stay.

We loved staying at the white barn. We stayed with a group of 9 women and there was plenty of room. We really enjoyed having our coffee out on the deck looking at the wonderful lake view. The restaurant The Greens that was right across the street was one of the best meals I have had in awhile. The house also had everything we could need - toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels etc. which is always a bit of an unknown with rentals. Highly recommended stay!

Would highly recommend this property as it is just like the description. Nicely appointed and host was very responsive.

I booked this house for my sister's bachelorette weekend and we had an incredible time! Everyone kept commenting on how nice and comfortable the house was. It's well equipped for cooking/grilling for big groups and we enjoyed some memorable meals on the deck overlooking the lake. The fire pits near the water were also lovely for enjoying the sunset. I would stay here again and recommend the house for a large group.

Everything we needed to enjoy our stay was readily available. John answered any questions we had really fast. Very clean. The lake is beautiful and we caught all sorts of fish right from the dock. We all hope to come back again next year!!!

Great house for our quick get away! Had everything we could possibly need and more!! On a beautiful lake where we enjoyed the kayaks and then rented a pontoon boat for the day.. so convenient!

My family of 6 adults and 2 small children had an absolutely blast at the lakehouse! We spent most of our time on the covered porch and had a wonderful time using the extremely well stocked kitchen to cook group meals. The loft area upstairs was perfect for the little kids to play and I think we used the two adult kayaks provided every single day. I'd love to return to this beautiful property.

This was a great property for a couples getaway. We played cornhole, swam, kayaked and relaxed. The rear balcony overlooking the lake was the icing on the cake, we spent many hours here eating, drinking, chatting and just enjoying the general scenery. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice quiet retreat, and right across from a golf course. Property manager was great as well, every question we had he answered fairly quickly and seemed willing to accommodate any issues/ concerns etc

Although this is our 6th year staying at Copake Lake, this is our first year renting “The White Barn”. The house layout was perfect for our blended family. There are 2 “ suites” at opposite ends of the house, each contains 2 bedrooms and a full bath. This provides an element of privacy, if desired. The kitchen is well equipped. Ample cookware, dishes and silverware are available, along with an extremely well stocked pantry. The outdoor covered porch was delightful. We ate most of our meals out there and were always treated to a phenomenal view of the lake. The small gas fire pit was an extra attraction to spending evenings on the porch. The upstairs loft was a haven for my young grandsons who spent early mornings hours playing with the plentiful selection of toys. There is also a dedicated workspace for those who need to take a “working” vacation. The lake is clean and the fishing is excellent. John, the homeowner, was a pleasure to work with. He answered any of our queries quickly and satisfactorily. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks at the White Barn and hope to spend another 2 weeks next year. Michele M.

We were very happy with the home. Clean and we needed not to bring much with us. Love the porch and the grill, where we did most of dinners. Grandpa and his sidekick had a wonderful time fishing. Some of young’ns where out the kayaks. Us elders enjoyed the patio by the lake. The only part of getting to the water was a challenge! But we brought a our snacks and drinks down with us…..one and done!! We enjoy our time. We had a few glitches and John was right on it, thank you John for sharing your lovely home! We made plenty of happy memories!

Listed as a cottage, this home was far beyond such a description. The home was cozy, inviting, exceptionally clean, and the amenities were considerably above those I had ever received from any of my previous rentals; from bathroom necessities, to bedding, to kitchen essentials, to indoor entertainment options, to lake and outdoor activities and more. All my basic needs were amply met. My sister traveled to the cottage to visit for a few days and was able to purchase worms from the nearby marina to fish right off the dock near the cottage. She really enjoyed herself as she casted the rod and fished off that dock for hours. I got tired of watching her as I bathe in the sun. We also had an opportunity to play pool and ping pong on the table located on the upper level of the cottage; it had been over decades since we had played those games together and the activity brought back many fond memories. The ‘super host’ was also responsive, welcoming, and a pleasure to speak with. The location and environment were peaceful and sleeping by the lake was relaxing. I rented this particular cottage for 7-days, but would love to rent the cottage, again, next year for a minimum of 10 days, because the accommodations were worth the value of the rental.

The property is absolutely stunning! It is a fantastic place to relax along the water. There is plenty of room for guests or large families. The game room upstairs is fun for children & adults. The gas fireplaces outside were great to keep us warm in the Spring. The property owner was quick to get back to us with any questions/concerns. The only problem was a strong smell of sulfur coming from the water in the house. Hopefully this will be looked at & fixed for future guests. If it were not for this, it would be a five star rating.

I stayed here with a group of friends for my 30th birthday weekend and we couldn’t have loved the house more! The house was absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed, from pots and pans to coffee to enough beds to 4 different fire pits. We love staying in Copake Lake, as well as having a short 25 minute ride out to Hudson, and will most definitely look into staying here again.

Wonderful (fully stocked) property with gorgeous views, a fire pit, and lots to do in the area. The beds could be more comfortable, but this is person specific;)

The white barn was outfitted with everything you could possibly need. The kitchen the bathrooms were so well stocked that it felt like being at home. There were multiple fire pits inside and out, water toys, and comfortable beds.The deck overlooking the water offered a wonderful place for meals and after dinner relaxation. We never left the property and didn’t need to to have the best weekend ever. Thanks so much. We will be back.

Great location! Less than 30 minutes to food stores, restaurants, marina, shopping and Massachusetts. The lake property is very, very relaxing. Plenty of seating and fire pits. House is well stocked with all the necessities. Never ate breakfast, lunch or dinner in the house, the porch was the place to be! The pool/ping pong table in the loft is a great addition for fun and I can imagine a child never being bored playing with the many many toys there. We had a great week!

And we loved that it was right off the deck with the grill, easy to bring things in and out. We ate all our meals on the deck and took advantage of the great view. The house is in a private, quiet part of the lake with lovely and serene view. The dock space is perfect with some chairs and loungers to enjoy the view. We were able to dock our boat on one side which was ideal for the weekend. While private there are houses on each side so we were careful to keep the noise to a minimum at night and respect thoseHomeowners. We will likely be back.
