The house was adorable! It was one of the last houses before the entrance to the beach...so very convenient!
The weather was very warm, which we loved and wanted....but, there were only 2 small fans available and not very powerful, sleeping was a little uncomfortable but not unbearable!

Literally the best location you can get on the Alentejo Coast of Portugal. That applies to both the town/beach - Carvalhal - and this particular house, which is right at the entrance to the beach. The house is gorgeous, comfortable, and outfitted with everything you need. The host is attentive and helpful, and leaves you to enjoy your vacation.

My sister needed a restful, restorative place to recover from an overly ambitious family vacation. She has a terminal illness and this was perfect. Thank you.

The location - very close to the beach. The decor and style of the cottage.
It smelt of damp and was quite dark inside and the toilet blocked.

The location is so close to the beach, couldn't be closer! Easy parking outside and there's a great beach bar and restaurant on Carvalhal Beach right next to the house, so if you want you don't have to drive anywhere for lunch and dinner! Our host, Susana, was wonderful and really helpful with checkin and checkout. We felt really well looked after!
Would've been good to have some brighter lights in the house, and a little more toilet roll for a week's stay.

It’s a cozy stylish little house, very clean and close to the beach ( 3 min walking )
Despite the beautiful location it isn’t close by any shop, so you have to go by car to the village Carvalhal ( 5-10 min ) to do the shopping. Carvalhal is a very small village, with 2 small supermarkets, a bit expensive, so the best is to go to a bigger supermarket in Grândola or Alcazar do Sal ( 20-25 min ).
It also is described as a dunes house, it’s almost in the dunes but it isn’t surrounded with dunes, it’s a house with more houses connected and the free part is at the way to the beach, which can be very busy & nosy.
