This property is spectacular in every way. The location, the views, the amenities. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and very close to Saluda, The Gorge and lots of trails. We will definitely be back!

Convenient to most locations. Nice and quiet. Relaxing location. Only very minor negative would be fix the door locks. After a while you only use the front door because it works. But the back porch is where you want to go. But overall a great rental. Hits on all needs.

Quiet, clean beautiful views

We enjoyed our stay there very much.

We had visited the area before and wanted our entire family, children and grandchildren, to join us for a family celebration. The Escape was the perfect location. The lodge, and hosts, have provided plenty of room, modern electronics, large and complete kitchen, huge deck with grill and magnificent mountain views, along with a fire pit we used in the evening for family stories, music and "sing alongs". Everyone agreed that it may have been our best family outing in years.

The Escape was just as the online descriptions stated. The view is awesome. Well stocked kitchen, beds very comfortable, gas fireplaces were nice and easy, screened porch off master bed room was great, big grill which we used often, and the fire pit and side yard were great for evening bocce ball games.

The place was slightly dated but everything was clean and my family had had a wonderful time and the view was spectacular!

We were in the area for our daughters wedding and she chose this VRBO to have a small celebration. Well the numbers for the celebration outgrew the Vrbo so we had it in Saluda. We loved this place from having coffee on the decks enjoying the sunrise in the sun in the afternoon to sitting around the fire pit in the evening. Everyone was comfortable and had their own space. And we absolutely all loved the area and Saluda in particular. We will definitely be back!

Property was fantastic! What a view! If you like log cabins you will definitely like this one. Location was great. Our family (6 adults and 4 children) stayed here so we could attend our granddaughter's softball senior day at North Greenville University which was only about a 30 minute drive away. We didn't have any issues except how to open the bear proof garbage container at the end of the driveway. We didn't see any bears but we did see a little snow. Being from the lowcountry of South Carolina we don't see snow too often. Highly recommend this property and we would definitely return.

We had a perfect 3 night stay at The Escape. The home sits on a beautiful piece of property and the weather was wonderful!

Absolutely beautiful property with plenty of space for our large family (ages 1.5yo to 65yo) to have their own rooms. The only negatives I will point out were the extremely hot water and frequent ladybugs/centipedes throughout the home. But those were minor and previously pointed out by the owner, so I would not at all let that deter you from staying in this beautiful home!

This was our 2nd stay at this special cabin. The home is large and comfortable for our entire family. It was very clean and well-stocked. The mountain views are amazing and the location is so convenient, being close to the adorable downtown of Saluda and I-26. We were only minutes away from all or our favorite activities. The property manager is very responsive and provides all the information you need for a great stay. We are already planning our next visit.

This was our 2nd time staying at The Escape and we all love it. The kitchen is perfect for preparing meals and well equipped. The home is nicely furnished and decorated. The property views are stunning. Perfect location and easy drive to nearby towns for shopping, hiking, restaurants and the Flatrock Playhouse Checking in and out is quick and easy. Looking forward to staying at The Escape again.

We found the house clean and comfortable and what a beautiful view! It was perfect for our multi-family group!

Great house for different age groups, huge deck, great yard to play. We hiked, gem mined, picked apples and visited Saluda and Hendersonville. My only criticism is that there isn’t anyplace everyone could gather at one time. Dinner- only 5 chairs. Watching football or a movie- not enough seating in the living room or den. We were a group of 8 so for a house that sleeps 10, we couldn’t eat together.

We enjoyed a wonderful week on this hilltop property, and found the house to be cozy and spacious for eight of us plus our dogs. Great home base for jaunts into Asheville, Hendersonville, and Greenville, SC.

Just an awesome place to visit, great spot

First, we found the cabin to have a restricted view of the mountains, which was a bit disappointing. However, the cabin itself was clean and slept 10 well enough. I did a lot of cooking for our family and found that the kitchen was not well appointed for this. One skillet, in terrible condition and a mismatch of other pots made cooking a challenge. Also, the linens and sheets were subpar for the amount being charged. The representative and owner of the house were responsive when we called them about air conditioning, and they called a company to check it. The company said that they had worked on it for years and the second floor was always warmer than the main floor and well, the basement is always below 60 degrees. We have had vacation rentals for years, and we always hated to leave…because each delivered beyond the photos. We did not feel that way about this property.
