Coolview Cabin was a perfect choice for viewing the eclipse! The large front porch and comfortable outdoor seating made for a perfect theatre for the show. Too bad Mother Nature didn't cooperate, with the cloud cover, but what we were able to experience (temperature drop, dark, and unusual animal behavior) ended up making it well worth the trip! I loved the cabin and the spectacular Hill Country view! Fantastic!

The cabin had a great view and was wonderfully private. It was clean and had everything promised in the description. Check in information was accurate (all codes worked well) and property manager got back to us promptly when I needed to check something. Beds were comfortable! We would stay here again, it was just what we were looking for

Our stay was awesome and I wish we had had more time to spend and explore the property. I do wish we had arrived at the property during the day. It was a little scary at night as there were no lights left on upon arrival and it is VERY dark.

My husband I and I came here the first week of January to have a time of reflection over 2023 and set goals for the next year. The view of the hills and valley out front was incredible. We lucked out on beautiful weather. The location was only 8 minutes from Wimberly. I would highly recommend this place for a getaway to connect with nature.

The accommodations were perfect for us- two bedrooms and two baths. Serviceable kitchen (sans dishwasher). Could have used more elbow grease to prep for guests. Lovely property- saw a family of deer. From the deck, we enjoyed the ring of fire eclipse very Comfortably. Would recommend.

Love this little cabin on the hill! Very quaint and quiet with a wonderful porch/deck to sit out on and enjoy the beautiful view.

Had a great long weekend stay at the property. Wonderful view from the front porch swing and deck. Cabin is nice, has all the basics needed. Location is excellent for all of the activities around Wimberley. I saw a few reviews mentioning the air conditioning, but happy to report even in the July heat they kept up and we were comfortable and even chilly at night.

This property did have beautiful views off the front porch and would be a great place to stay in cooler weather. The furnishings were comfortable, including the bed, the bathroom modern, and the kitchen sufficiently stocked with cooking gear. The downside is that when we checked in it was in the mid-90s and all the window units were off. We had to sweat it out on the porch while the even hotter interior cooled off. Although once cooled off, the window units kept up until our second night, at which time they stopped cooling as efficiently and left the house muggy. It's a nice property with good amenities if you are looking for somewhere quiet and out of town, but it could use some maintenance, namely in terms of pruning back the tree branches that scrape across the metal roof and the ones that have grown thick in front of the wonderful patio furniture on the porch. Rather than commanding views, it feels like being in a tree house. Granted the shade is nice, but I'm sure there's a happy medium. While I might be tempted to return here in the spring or fall, I don't think the window units are up to the task of a summer stay.

First, know that this property is run by a company, not an individual. The link to the (very limited) property guide did not include the gate and door codes. When we arrived, it was after business hours so we were sent to an after hours number and someone was able to look the information up for us after sitting at the gate for a few minutes. After a day already on property, the “guide” was updated with the codes. This property is cute. It had the most gorgeous view of the valley and the porch was beautiful. It is an adorable little cabin, with a sweet vintage feel, updated for modern comfort. The window a/c units did surprisingly well keeping up with the hottest days of the year so far (June- breaking 100 degrees). One of the units worked far better than the other though. The main bedroom was nice and chilly while the other was a bit warm, so leaving the bedroom doors open was helpful. What ended up cutting our trip short was the roaches my son found IN HIS BED. Now, we do understand that this was a cabin in the woods. So a few creatures here and there is totally expected and overlooked, however my son couldn’t sleep after that. When we let them know about the issue and that we would be leaving early, they told us they would reach out to their pest control. Their automated responses continued to text us to have a wonderful stay and check out instructions a day after they knew we were already gone.

It’s a great getaway when you forget what day it is. We stayed for two nights over a weekend. Location is prefect! The view spectacular! Definitely felt disconnected! Already planning another stay soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this excellent property! Great conversations in the cozy living room with large fireplace! Huge wooden deck with grill and covered seating area was a great place to unwind and enjoy the scenery and beautiful sunsets!!

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's just far enough away from downtown Wimberly to have the isolated hill country feel but close enough that the drive is no problem. The cabin was perfect and the views did not disappoint. I had some hiccups receiving final directions and door code - issues were on my end - and the management company went above and beyond making sure I received the information I needed. Great customer service! I will absolutely stay here again!

We stayed at the cabin during December and the weather was perfect. We enjoyed the deck and porch swing most of all.

Great place to stay. Pretty views. Cabin is comfy. We saw lots of deer. If you are looking for a quiet place in nature, this is your place. We would definitely stay here again.

The property was quite serene. The house and decor were charming. It was clean except for some mouse droppings on the window sills and inside the cabinets. When I am paying the cleaning fee, I expect cleanliness.

We loved this charming cabin. It had everything we needed to prepare our meals and was clean, nice, and cozy. It was also close to all the things we wanted to do. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

If you had a 5 star the cabin certainly deserved it! We spent so much time on the porch& deck. We watched deer, birds & butterflies all times of the day & night. House was spotless, had everything we needed except a wine opener. We bought one & left it for others! The master bedroom's bed was great. We slept so well. Bathroom was great. The 2nd bathroom shower was a little small but not a problem. Just can not say enough about what a neat place this is. We were close to downtown & also HEB. We had a hard time with the grill so I cooked the steaks inside-not a problem. Would definitely stay again. Really easy communication with the Vacay staff.
