Beautiful cabin. Very quiet. Great location

Cute little cabin out of town. Very well stocked and well managed. Space was a bit tight but okay for our family of four. About 20-40 minute drive to most popular hiking areas. Hot tub was clean and very nice. Only complaint was the charge for charcoal and firewood.

Overall, the cabin was great. He property was quiet, well maintained and secluded. It's perfect for a couple. As everyone else has noted, the stairs to the 2nd floor are a bit steep and would be a challenge for anyone with restrictions. The only bathroom was upstairs as well. We spent a very quiet, enjoyable weekend at the Homestead cabin

We loved staying here! Our only complaint was that the stairs were steeper and less deep than typical stairs and that took some getting used to. The hot tub also has a step down immediately after the steps and my husband tripped on that. However, the place was clean and the books, movies and games provided were a nice touch. We loved the fireplace and enjoyed the clean hot tub! We would love to stay here again!

This was the perfect little spot for a weekend getaway for my spouse and I! Very very clean and so very cozy!

The property was exactly as described and very clean. The kitchen had everything you needed for cooking meals. The hot tub was amazing. We will be staying here again !

We had purchased the heavenly package and it was everything it said it would be and more. It was exactly what we needed, the hot tub was amazing but our favorite part was the stash of old board games under the stairs. The only conplaint is that we couldnt have stayed longer. The host was quick to respond with any questions we had.

My family loved this cabin. Very Cozy and accommodated to all of our needs. The hot tub was a bonus after a long day of hiking.

Wife and I spent our 19th wedding anniversary at the homestead. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Nice, quiet and secluded. Not far from excellent hiking. Hot tub was a nice touch.

My brother and I took this trip to spend time to reconnect. The house was immaculate when we arrived and very inviting. The location was remote enough to allow us the solitude we sought while being close enough to civilization so we could go on some adventures and still get some good coffee when needed. The hot tub was an added bonus to relax after some of our adventures. It was clean and well taken care of. We hated leaving because it was such a great experience. Thank you, Uma, for a great llocation and well maintained property.

The area it was located wasn’t far from anywhere but secluded enough to be quiet. The property it sat on was beautiful and had some trails to wonder on. Will definitely go back

The Homestead cabin was a clean private cabin with easy access to Hocking Hills, Nelsonville and Athens. My wife and I enjoyed the comfort and convenience of this little home. Wasn't able to use the hot tub due to time restraints but was a nice, private setting. Strongly recommend!!

This property was exactly as described. Check in and communication with the host was easy and efficient. The cabin was very secluded and quiet, while still being easy to find. The house was very clean and had all necessary kitchen items, linens and comforts of home. The hot tub was clean and worked as it should, it made for the perfect mornings and nights outside in the chilly weather. One of the beds was a little soft for our preference but the other bed was very comfortable. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we are looking forward to coming back to this property.

Enjoyed the house and everything was perfect

Lovely little cabin, with good visual privacy. You could still hear loud neighbors, but this just depended on your neighbor at the time. Overall pleasant stay, with nice amenities and thoughtful signs to help guide you to all the information you needed. The owners were wonderful communicators, letting us know ahead of time when the cabin was ready and what time to expect their grounds keeping crew to be mowing near the cabin. Best communication from any cabin owner over the past 5 years of coming to the area!

Clean and new. We couldn’t tell if the place was one day old or twenty. It was immaculate. For two couples looking to get away, visit Athens, and unplug from the furious pace of daily living, it was PERFECT. We loved everything. The hot tub was awesome.

My partner and I came here for our anniversary. The property was well kept and what we are expecting. The only disappointing piece had nothing to do with the property itself, but rather finding good restaurants within a reasonable driving distance.

Every part about staying here was great, from the cleanliness and comfort of the homestead, to the ease of check in.

It was great just relaxing for a couple days here. Hot tub was nice, living room and beds were really comfy and it wasn’t too far from Logan or any food places

We wanted a quiet place to relax for a few days. This property was perfect for our needs.

Nice place to relax and get away. Slight down side was having to go through a bedroom to get to the bathroom. Otherwise the place was amazing.

This little cottage is well maintained and sits on a beautifully kept piece of property. There is enough cleared area in the front to allow morning sun and plenty of trees to provide shade in the afternoon. Apparently there are trails to wander along on the property, but we didn't look for for them. Maybe next time.The kitchen a nice size and fully equipped. The living room is very comfortable and cozy. Direct TV and Netflix are available, but hopefully you're not spending too much time watching TV. The bedrooms are upstairs and the small bathroom (which is big enough) is in one of them. So sharing with other adults might be a little awkward. The beds are comfortable but the pillows are firm. So bring your own if you prefer soft pillows. The stairs are steep (not made to any building code that I know of) and could be difficult for some. I noticed that my left knee began to hurt after a couple days/nights, possibly due to the forward position of the knees, especially coming down the stairs. But I survived!The deck in the back is a great outdoor space and the hot tub was wonderful after an active day. The nights were cool during our stay so it felt that much better.It's a bit of a drive (30 minutes or so) to the caves/gorges, but it is also 30+ minutes to Nelsonville where we took bikes to ride on the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway, a paved trail that runs all the way to Athens (about 20 miles). My girlfriend is a novice cyclist so we only did a 14 mile round trip. But for an intermediate cyclist the 40 mile round trip would be pretty easy since it's paved the whole way and relatively flat.I gave 4 stars to the neighborhood only because we had to listen to someone mow an apparently large property for a few hours when we checked in. But overall it's still a much quieter neighborhood than living in the 'burbs.The positives greatly outweigh the few negatives and make this cottage a great choice.
