We've just returned from our daughter's Highlands wedding and stayed in this lovely home. We absolutely loved everything about this beautiful farmhouse - location, furnishings, property, etc. The homeowners were extremely responsive and accommodating. The bedrooms all have their own large bathrooms. The kitchen was fully appointed. The large family room even had a table ready for game nights. It was truly a peaceful oasis for our family away from all of the wedding festivities. We look forward to staying here again!

We had a great time with our four children just outside of Highlands, North Carolina. The home is well appointed and comfortable with plenty of room for a family of six. The kids enjoyed the creek and I’ll trade campfires. Very close to downtown Highlands

We were grand parents traveling with adult married children and (3) grandsons (8/10/10) with two dogs. The house was perfect with our size family. The 4 bedrooms with en-suite baths served us well. The weather in October was cool so the fireplace was used every night. We were easy traveling distance to waterfalls, hikes, groceries and great dining in Highlands. As noted by others, we are very close to the main highway from Dillard into Highlands so there can be road noise on the screened in porch. Our grandsons and dogs spent a lot of time outside and in the creek. Perfect for them! The house is solidly built so there was not much noise transfer between rooms or between floors. We REALY appreciated this feature. We had a few service issues which I’m sure will be addressed by the owner. They did not affect our feelings of this property. Good for families, pets, and a perfect location.

Loved staying in this Highlands farmhouse for a wedding!! Weather was amazing and the house was so comfortable and had everything we needed!!

We had a lovely stay at this home. Two families with kids, it was just perfect. The creek was a hit for our 6 year olds, they played endless hours outside and it felt very safe. The proximity to town was great. Loved the large kitchen and dining area. Great for gathering to eat. Loved the home!

We (three couples) stayed at this property for a 65th birthday celebration. it is a fantastic home and the ease of everything form start to finish cannot be overstated. My only complaint (and its minor) is that the internet signal is very weak. Lovely place and a lovely experience!

This house is a dream. Great location, but you’ll be happy hanging out at the house. It’s like a Chip and Joanna Gaines farm house! Didn’t want to leave.

We had rented another house about 10 miles outside of Highlands. The second night we were there, the water stopped working! ( well problem) . We frantically searched for another place and lucky for us- this house had a last minute cancellation . They were so easy to deal with ! We moved in that afternoon. The house is a quaint farmhouse by a little brook. It is a beautiful setting! We enjoyed the outdoor porches. But it’s also close to the town center - which was so convenient! The bedrooms were roomy and neat . The linens were great. I would highly recommend this house!!

The house is special! Plenty of room and darling farm house shabby chic decor. The bedrooms are very nice. Upstairs and downstairs masters need some sound proofing as steps above can be heard.

We loved everything about the “farmhouse.” It was homey and spacious inside with a country feel outside. Yet, it was so close to hiking trails in every direction and a stones through to Highlands, NC. We enjoyed a week of family fun of imbibing dining and confabulation.

Spacious family retreat with the charm of the North Carolina mountains, complete with a babbling brook. We gathered with our adult children and toddler grandson. Perfectly appointed with every need imaginable. The coziness of a farmhouse with all the elegance and charm of a renovation but all the amenities one could need set in an idyllic setting. Exquisite sense of style and elegance from the dish ware in the kitchen, to the marble bathrooms. We had everything we could need for a four day stay. Close to the village for wine tasting and restaurants, to hikes in the Natural Forest and close to discovering the Botanical Gardens. We did not want to leave!! Thank you for giving us a perfect place for a momentous birthday celebratory weekend with family! Simply wonderful...simply perfect!

We ( ages 3 through 99) loved this house and its amenities, from the stream and beautiful grounds through the comfortable and rustic period design. It was well equipped and well located, only a few hundred feet to my daughter’s wedding venue. Can’t wait to go back again.

What a wonderful stay we had at this lovely home! The house is clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. We spent a lot of time in the yard, on the porches, and by the creek! Our children loved playing outside during the day and relaxing by the fireplace at night. This was a perfect home base for mountain adventures as well. We look forward to returning!

We had a wonderful stay in Highlands. The property was the perfect cozy getaway. Very clean, plenty of stocked firewood and great location.

My family wanted a winter weekend escape, and this house just outside of Highlands, NC was perfect. The home is beautiful, spotless, and equipped with anything you might need. It looks like a historic farmhouse, but is actually newly built with great care and charm. It is a short drive into town, and close to hikes and beautiful views. Sitting around the fireplace was so cozy, and the whole weekend was very relaxing. A perfect retreat!

The house was perfect for our time in the Highlands. We had come and go during or stay and there was plenty of space. It was super-special, because it was the first time my mom got to see her newborn granddaughter. We hired a professional photographer to get family photos and the scenery was perfect. Highly recommend!

Great get away with girls in the family!!

We had the BEST time at this home! There were 4 couples, and it was a perfect getaway weekend. So much character in the house! Granted one couple had to take the bunk beds, but they didn’t mind. Owner/manager were very responsive to all questions. One suggestion would be to have a list of tips/FAQ’s, especially pertaining to linens at check out and to how to work tv, WiFi, etc. We hope to make this an annual trip!

We just spent the weekend in this beautiful home. It was a perfect getaway for our family and our four girls absolutely loved the large yard and creek running through it. We had plenty of space and hope to return in the future. Thank you!
