Great Location-15 mins to Sassi. The place is clean, modern and has everything one needs. Luca was friendly and gave us good tips that made our trip worthwhile. I highly recommend this place!

Luca was very helpful to us finding how to maximize our time here and took care of all our needs. Matera was a great surprise and a wonderful place to visit. I have been recommending it to everyone I have talked in EU and USA. Also Sunday Mass was just around the corner.

The distance to the center was only thing because I can walk it easily but my wife cannot.

The place is new, everything is new. It was very clean. You have a small kitchen to prepare your breakfast. Location: excellent! 10 minutes by walking from the city center

it was modern and very clean

while the facility was very clean and modern it was basically three rooms with no onsite staff. So we had not realized it was not a hotel. As well the air conditioning in both rooms simply did not work. All it did was blow air. The temperature in the room was about 30 degrees but the remote kept saying 22 degrees. We know how to use these remotes and air conditioners. So we knew what we doing. I also thought it was a bit pricey for what we got. the owner was nice. So the real problem were air conditioning units that did not work. The units has very small cooling cupboards for drinks which at best kept the drinks “fresh” but not cold. They should put in small refrigerators like most places do. As it was hot in the room the cooling unit for the drinks buzzed all night. The owner did recommend the Stano restaurant which was excellent. So while the location was also a bit far form the old city, we knew that - so that was our problem. So in short I probably would have given an 8.5 had the air conditioning unit worked. But it did not. I am not penalizing the location or the fact that it was a guest house and not a hotel as we did not know.

Not great - juice box, coffee was fine, edible portion was dry pre-packaged cornetto and focaccia bread.

A tiny bit more space for luggage, table, we made do but it was minimal. Otherwise great! Location wasn't bad, just not great.

We were going to Rosetta Jazz Club that night. It was a 5 minute walk!

other lodgers came in after midnight and were very loud in the common area and their rooms for about an hour.

Great clean spot, great stay! 15 min walk to old town.

Good location, 15mins walking distance from the old city. Brand new forniture, great cleanliness and very nice staff. We appreciated the big shower.
