I can only imagine what views this place has during whale season, but my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay right on the water. The sunsets were outstanding and well worth having dinner on the lanai. We definitely want to return!

This centrally located condo was perfect for our visit to Maui. The lanai ocean view was awesome for morning coffee, afternoon relaxation and evening wine watching the sunset. It's everything we were looking for!

Kahana Reef is a no-frills low-key affordable oceanfront condo. This condo was on the third floor, conveniently close to the one working elevator. The ocean view was just as shown by the photos. A good place to relax and enjoy the waves. A couple of points: 1. The unit does not have its own washer and drier. Instead there is a laundromat on site which takes quarters. There is also an app you can download to pay for the loads with a credit card. 2. The unit, like a lot of places in Hawaii, does not have AC. When we were there in May, there were sufficient breezes to keep the unit comfortable most of the time. That may be more of a challenge later in the summer.

If you want that spectacular ocean water view from your condo living room and balcony this has it! Third of four floors, easy free on site parking with elevator, quiet complex a couple miles outside of the main noisy drag but not too far. Condo is a standard one bedroom with a big bed, pullout sofa in living area, standard kitchen and bathroom that you’d expect in a beach area condo. Kitchen has a few extras like toaster and blender and coffee maker which we used. Short walk to beach access. We would definitely stay again and recommend and wished we could stay longer this time.

We loved everything about this place. Great location, lanai, walkable general store and gym, easy zip up or down the coat to iconic locations. A little warm but if you keep windows and sliding door to lanai open it feels good. People do talk loudly outside the bedroom starting around 7 am but that’s unavoidable and only happened a few of the mornings. Amazing value, would absolutely stay again! Thanks again to the hosts!

This condo has front row seats to an amazing sunset every night! It was so relaxing to watch with a glass of wine or favorite drink on the lanai. There are two palm trees in view but that only added to the Hawaiian paradise vibe. The condo was clean, very comfortable, and well-equipped. The ceiling fans and cross ventilation island breeze kept us quite comfortable without the need of A/C. The two beaches to the right were convenient for swimming, laying out, and relaxing. We saw many turtles every day on the reef in front and at the beach next door. It's only a short drive to Kahekili Beach park (w/free parking & facilities) to snorkel and swim in the clearest water in West Maui. We enjoyed our stay at Kahana Reef #309 and would book it again!

To arrive in Maui and find that million-dollar view was so exciting. We had a debacle with the keys on the way to our luau the first night (totally our fault) and the property owners were amazing and called us right back so that we were on time. There was plenty of room, we ate in a lot and there was everything under the sun to cook with. Bathroom had a great shower and the bed was super comfortable. They truly think of everything. The property was immaculate, quiet, so many beautiful things to do right there. If you are looking for a stay in Maui, you couldn't pick a better place. We didn't want to leave.

The condo location was very convenient for everything we wanted to experience and the unit location in the building was perfect, allowing for privacy and beautiful views from the balcony. We saw whales everyday and enjoyed the sunsets over Lanai. The “winter” temperatures were comfortable with the windows open and the fans going.

Great location and convenient to Lahaina. The view is stunning and we saw whales from the balcony! Definitely recommend! My only comments would be that we did have a little bit of an incident with the iron. The property manager reached out immediately when we contacted him and was easily accessible. The parking can also be a bit of a hassle, even with a parking pass. Overall though, very nice and we would love to visit again!

We enjoyed our stay at Kahana Reef. The condo was very comfortable and well-equipped. The little beach right next store was nice for swimming; the water was calm and easy to get in/out. There are a few good eateries within 5 minutes walking distance. Grocery store and other shopping/dining options a short drive away. We enjoyed some great sunsets from the balcony; I would love to stay here again!

This is a wonderful condo and loved the view from the balcony. The bed is very comfortable and kitchen well equipped. We tend to drive to different beaches along the coast so beach equipment was greatly appreciated. They were all beautiful. Several good restaurants close by that were recommended. Thank you!

From the initial contact with our hosts to the check-in, posted rules and regulations of the property as well as suggestions for places to eat or see our hosts made our trip easy by being so organized. The place was as posted and our hosts paid attention to all the small details you don't really consider until you get there. Comfy bed and pillows and great linens. The lanai was a perfect place for breakfast and evening beverages.

We really enjoyed staying at Jeff's beautiful condo. The home was exactly as advertised and they were very responsive with messages. The lanai was a great spot for coffee in the morning or wine in the evening, with gorgeous sunsets! The only two things I want to point out, which wasn't a deal breaker for us, but might be something "non regulars" might want to consider - it does get a little hot at night, but there are ceiling fans and a nice breeze if you open all the windows. Also the location is a little further away from Lahaina Town and about 15 mins from downtown so take that into account. We would 100% recommend this location and will be back again!

This is a great location in Lahaina. Property was clean and had almost everything we needed. The only downside is there was not air conditioning or portable air unit. As such, the room was humid and hot most of the day and evening. The humidity and heat made it uncomfortable to sleep and relax in the room. Once the wind picked up from the beach and blew in colder air, the room cooled down…but that was often late at night.

This place is beautiful and perfect. My only complaint is that I was hit up for $25 per day extra for them to turn on the air conditioning. I find that very offensive. If I rented a car, would I be charged more for adding wheels?

I really enjoyed my stay here right after Labor Day of 2022. The condo is quiet, clean, has everything I needed and has a fantastic view of the ocean, facing west. The Fesslers were always very helpful with any questions I had. I do have two suggestions if you stay here. First, there is no beach within walking distance. However, within a 3-5 minutes drive, there is Kalekili beach on the south and Napili beach on the north. Kalekili is especially nice with good waves and facilities without the commotion of Ka'anapali. Second, I would recommend against using Times Market north of the property. I found the produce either not ripe or having mold. A better market is Napili market, which is also closer. And it is right next to the Coffee Shop at Napili which is a wonderful place for a light bite and great coffee. Oh, and if you have a question if you need ac, I didn't. There was a good cross breeze and ceiling fans in the living area and bedroom. At night, I even used the blanket. Thanks again to the Fesslers for all their help. It is a lovely condo. Donn K

We had an amazing time in Maui! The condo was super clean and the view is stunning. There is a small beach right down the street, we saw so many turtles there! The hosts were awesome! Highly recommend staying here!

Holy cow!! Just a short expanse of green grass and ocean. Big dipper was incredibly clear as we set on lanai. Turtles, turtles, and more turtles feeding on the break wall right below the property. Great to be north of Lahaina hustle and bustle.

This condo was the best! I cannot emphasize how beautiful the view from the balcony is. The walk to the ocean is only a few feet away. Very clean and perfect for our stay. The location could not be better, was close to Napili and Kapula Bay which both have sea turtles and excellent snorkeling. Go south and you are minutes to Kaanapali area beaches, restaurants and shopping. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you for sharing this space with us.

Coffee every morning on lanai 40 feet from Pacific Ocean. Sunset with wine each night. After our 5000 miles journey from NC it was awesome loved it it was GRAYT

Wow! My spouse and I had an incredible three night stay and enjoyed every minute. The balcony had the most spectacular view of the ocean and palm trees. We loved waking up early and enjoying our coffee on the balcony and then finishing our days with dinner watching the sunset (again, on the balcony, it was that great). Host had provided many thoughtful amenities that made our trip great! Also, has a delicious Chinese restaurant right across the parking lot with great vegan options. Great location, with a rental car this it was a great home base to explore all across the island. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Absolutely no complaints, this was an amazing stay for my partner and I while visiting Maui. Convenient location, easy check-in process, clean apartment with everything you could need to feel comfortable. The view was absolutely stunning, would definitely stay here again!

The property reflects the listing accurately. Good ocean view to see whales in the distance and sea turtles at the sea wall. Pleantly of breeze through the condo and no need for AC. Would definitely stay at this listing again.

We had a great stay. The condo was very clean and comfortable. We had a minor snafu at check in (no key in the lockbox), but that was squared away with a phone call to the host. And for the sake of accuracy, those expecting a completely unobstructed view from the balcony as pictured should know that there are actually a couple of palm trees that block part of the view. We didn't mind, but I suspect the photo is from a different unit. We would definitely consider staying here again, as it suited our needs perfectly.

The location was excellent as you are close to Napili and Ka’anapali the other way. Walking distance to a few restaurants. (Dollies makes excellent pizza!) The building and laundry area are kept very clean. The pool area and turtles are great entertainment for all. The unit is well laid out and the balcony/lanai is fantastic! We spent hours out there watching the whales, sunsets and enjoying the view. The kitchen and bathroom are functional but need an update. This appears to be a very family friendly building which is a bonus!

Serenity Found! This area is our very favorite in Maui! More locals and less tourists! The unit is clean, quiet! Beautiful Rainbows and Sunsets! We saw more whales than on Any whale tour!! Jeff is very prompt, accommodating and kind! His list of locally owned restaurants were a welcome personal bonus! Honestly could not have hoped for more from a Vacation in Hawaii! Thank You!

The check-in was easy, just remember the keypad # you're given. Then to open the door and both in unison exclaim "WOW! We're certainly OCEAN Front"!! View of whales breaching while cooking in the well-stocked ktchn (tho could use a hood-vent, so just open doors). The mattress was amazingly comfortable. Best ever in a rental. Plenty of towels (bring your own shampoo) including beach towels. Also beach chairs, and umbrella, tho the scattered palms offered the needed shade. Best, (tho not cheapest) groceries at Naplili Market, and accross the street on Wed/Sat is a fun 'Farmers Mrkt' with mostly honey, baked goods and handmade wares. Celebrated our 36th Anniversary, but enjoyed the sunsets and 'whale show' so much, we canceled dinner reservations. You couldn't beat that view. The China Boat across the street had good take-out, also eat in patio. (Order side of vegetables if you like them. In Maui veggies are priceless commodity). While 309 and the condos in general were a bit dated, it was very clean. We appreciate to quaintness, and only 4 floors, vs the crazt high rises elsewhere. We lucked out. You will not regret that view!

This property is a great place to stay for a relaxing, scenic, and fun vacation. We were within a few miles of everything we like to do while on Maui. The unit is very well-equipped and comfortable. My only annoyance was a pair of palm trees that partially blocked our panorama of flying whales. The trees are lovely,of course, so I can't complain too much.
