Held a small yoga retreat here and it was great. The rooms were perfect, so rare to have private bathrooms. The space is lovely, so much attention to detail. Kitchen is well stocked!! The grounds are stunning. The weather was great so we did yoga on the decks - would have been harder if we needed to be inside. But for us it was great. So many areas for gathering, chatting, hanging out. I had a few questions during the weekend and the hosts were responsive right away. Wonderful place -- even better than the pictures. Highly recommend!!

My friends and I stayed here for the weekend and loved the home so much we didnt really feel like leaving the property most of the time. If you want a place to go and enjoy friends and family this is the place for you. The close proximity to a nice hike through some redwoods was an added bonus.

The home was was the perfect place for our extended family to come together and celebrate Thanksgiving. The home was the most well equipped home we've ever rented, and it had everything we needed (and more). On our first night Chef Jorge cooked us a halibut ceviche and paella dinner that was loved by all. Definitely a bonus to renting this already great home. One thing to note is that there is no cell phone reception (Verizon), which meant I could not pull up the access information online when we arrived. We were stuck outside the gate for a while.

Sabor Mexicano is an exceptional retreat to slow down and reconnect with friends and family. Carmina couldn't have been more accommodating and the house was immaculate and perfectly set up for our 4 families. The open floor plan was outstanding for group meals that lasted well into the night with cozy campfires and gatherings around the fire pit. Every room is ensuite with spa-quality touches and the beds were very comfortable. The house itself is fully redone to modern standards but with historic touches everywhere to make a joy to discover. We played games on the lawn, hiked the nearby Armstrong Redwood Forest, played cards long into the night, explored the nearby towns, beaches, and riverfront, and sat chatting while overlooking the beautiful grounds of the farm and hills beyond. If you are looking for an old-world retreat where each can have individual space but with endless possibilities to connect over good meals, discussions, or games - look no further. Highly recommend for family reunions, celebrations, and work retreats where a personal touch is desired.

What an amazing few days at this property. So many bedrooms and bathrooms. Incredible detail to renovations and the location couldn't have been better. We had the host Jorge and his Wife Carmina as private chefs both nights and the wood was really great. Especially the salsas and chocolate cake both nights ;)

We were 11 adults and three children together for a family celebration. This house was perfect in every way, set in a peaceful location with tons of space, beautiful views and every facility that we needed.

We had the most amazing experience staying at this beautiful homestead. The food was exquisite, we booked Jorge for one of our meals. The accommodation was so comfortable, welcoming and beautifully designed. The surroundings were stunning and serene! It provided us with such a memorable occasion for my husbands big birthday celebration. Our thanks to Carmina, Jorge and their son for all the effort they put in for their guests, it is truly appreciated!

We had an incredible experience staying here. Carmina and Jorge also catered a party for my newly wed daughter. The food was amazing! Having a full bathroom in every bedroom was great and the whole feel of the house and outdoor areas is incredible. We would go back there in a heartbeat :)

This was the most beautiful location for my husband and I’s intimate wedding ceremony. Gorgeous spot and would love to stay here again. Very clean home with responsive hosts! Highly recommend

The pictures definitely do the place justice; it’s a beautiful property, with great amenities. We had a couple of immunocompromised folks staying with us and it was easy to hang out outside for hours on the various porches, or around the fire pit or in the hot tub at night when it got cold. Armstrong Redwoods is finally open again and an easy walk down the street; would definitely recommend checking it out. The only thing was that it took us a while to figure out the dishwasher; you need to run the hot water on the sink or it won’t start.

A nice base from which to explore - redwoods, farmer’s markets, the coast and of course wineries!

Loved this retreat. Great amenities and wonderful hosts. So close to the redwoods. Love the games, the gardens, the stars and hot tub.

A group of 10 of us stayed in the house for three nights and everyone loved it! It has the perfect set up for large groups and is very well equipped. The house has everything you need and the beds are very comfortable. We visited wineries and had lunch out during the day and had down time and dinners at the house. There were plenty of areas for us to gather and the the property is lovely to walk around. On one night, we brought in a chef to make us Paella and it was perfect. I would rent this home again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it.

Great experience

I cannot say enough nice things about our stay here. We had planned for a group of 14 but ended up with 9, so it’s a wonderful spot for a large group. It’s even nicer in person than the pics. Lots of indoor and outdoor dining for groups, lots of big and little gathering areas. We had dinner on the back deck one night, turned on the heaters and the string lights and it was perfection. Cocktails by the fire pit after and then some hot tub time. Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom making it perfect for groups, giving everyone their own space. The beds are SUPER comfortable. The space/decor are perfect. I wish I could live here and SO want to come back. Also, you feel secluded enough to relax and enjoy yourself, but you’re a straight shot 2 minute drive from downtown. Perfect! We had a few questions throughout the stay and Carmina was on sight or calling my cell faster than I could blink. Great home, great hosts, so glad they share their space for others to enjoy!

Words cannot express what a delightful experience we had here. Everything was absolutely perfect to the last detail, the house is a dream and Jorge and Carmina went above and beyond as hosts! The property exceeds expectations and made for a very memorable getaway.

I stayed at Sabor Vacation Retreat in July 2021. We were a group of six friends who have been taking mini-vacations for years. This was one of our favorite places we've stayed. It was large enough for everyone to have their own bedroom/bathroom and for us to spread out. The owners have done a wonderful job of restoring an old building and opening it up! The grounds were also amazing to wander through. I highly recommend staying here.

My friend's and I stayed there mid week for my birthday. It was a great property and Carmina & Jorge were amazing. It was beautiful. I would say that all of my friends had a great time as well. It was nice that we all had our own rooms and bathrooms. Also, Carmina was very responsive when emailing her a lot of questions.

What a gem! Jorge and Carmina's beautiful home was perfectly situated for exploring the Russian River and the Sonoma Coast. Prior to our trip, they were super responsive and provided helpful information about the area, including local favorites and nearby services/grocery stores. Upon arrival, self-check-in was a breeze, and we found the house to be expansive, stylish, and spotless. During our stay, we were pleased to discover that the house was well-stocked with every amenity imaginable to make our stay comfortable, relaxing, and fun. As a family with two young boys, we appreciated all of the extra little touches throughout that made the stay with the kids so easy including: air conditioning to keep the house cool during those warm summer days, beautiful woven baskets filled with beach towels for use after a dip in the hot tub or a day out and about, plenty of cozy blankets for those chilly nights, fun indoor and outdoor games for the kids throughout the common areas, fast WiFi for movie nights, a laundry room well-stocked with detergent/dryer sheets, and an amazing kitchen filled with every appliance and accoutrement we could need for cooking. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Guerneville and look forward to staying at Sabor Mexicano the next time we are back in town!

We had an amazing weekend at this property. The house was beautiful and very comfortable for the guests we had with a great balance of private and communal space. The property was lovely as well and overall we had a very memorable stay. Have to also mention that the owner was very friendly and accommodating as well - letting us come and view the property before our stay and in general just being a very lovely person

Our recent stay at the farmhouse was everything we could've imagined and more! We held a small intimate wedding with 25 of our closest friends and family at the property and celebrated for the last four days... The property was everything we imagined it would be, and more! The accommodations were incredible, the views are outstanding and we could not be happier with our decision to start our married life there! Do not think twice about booking Carmina's beautiful home, you will not be disappointed!

Beautifully designed house in spotless condition, very well set up for multiple families to share.

Our extended family recently came together to celebrate and the home and farm were the perfect place. There was so much room in the house to gather, the rooms and bathrooms were great and the house was very clean. We loved the property both inside and outside. We were thrilled with our meals cooked to order by Jorge and Carmina. Everything was delicious and it was great to eat some of the farm produce. We would love to stay here again for our next adventure. Thank you for providing such an amazing home away from home.

We celebrated my partner's 50th birthday party at Sabor Mexicano in Guerneville and it was simply fantastic. The house was more than big enough for several families to stay, the rooms were comfortable and beautifully appointed, and the kitchen and the grill were perfect to allow us to prepare and serve food for two dozen guests for an afternoon get together. There was an added event fee for a big group gathering, but it was completely worth it. We also enjoyed a gorgeous hike in the nearby redwoods — completely within walking distance. And the property provides great privacy. I can't thank Carmina enough for being so accommodating and so clear and prompt in her communications. Would love to plan another trip there in the future.

We stayed at Sabor Mexicano for 3 nights in December 2018 with a group of 10 adults and 5 kids. Every aspect of the rental was fantastic. The house itself is gorgeous, clean, and well-maintained. The living room has a huge fireplace which we kept going the entire time. The grounds are spectacular, with plenty of room for the kids to run around and explore. The location couldn't be better. It is a 5 minute walk to an incredible forest of giant redwoods. If you go early in the morning, it is totally empty. The town is close by and has some decent restaurants and grocery store. Many wineries are also close, and it's an easy 30 minute drive to the coast. The hosts were helpful and responsive. We also had them cater a dinner for us, which was delicious and we would highly recommend. We would definitely stay here again.

We held an intimate weekend retreat for friends at the farm and absolutely loved it. We had a wonderful experience booking the property and communicating with the property management, which made our trip that much more seamless. The property and house are simply perfect. The details are beautiful and the views exquisite. We enjoyed cooking a big meal in that open kitchen, and roasted marshmallows by the bonfire before bed. Couldn't recommend more highly for a group getaway - proximity to downtown Guerneville and Russian River are also a huge plus!
