Nice log home in a scenic community. Great for a family gathering!

Absolutely everything we needed. Really appreciated the two-day stay option. Yes, the lot is steep but manageable. We didn't make it down all those stairs to the water but the property was really gorgeous. Excellent communication with owner who left very detailed instructions on how everything in the house worked. Super comfy master bed.

CLEAN AND VERY RELAXING

Karen was a great hostess she answered all of my questions prior to our stay & was very accommodating. We did encounter a couple of problems on our first night stay but she quickly addressed them. The home is very cozy & had everything needed to prepare meals & make your stay comfortable. We rented the pontoon boat that was very nice & very convenient. I would highly recommend renting it from her rather than the hassle of going to a marina. I would read the description before renting, those are very very steep stairs down to the water as stated. We managed but it would be very difficult for elderly or small children. You are far back in a cove so not much of a lake view more of a woods view. Not an issue for us but just so you won’t be disappointed you won’t be seeing much of the lake from the deck. Also, the driveway is incredibly steep. I was very glad we had a truck that was high off the ground. I think I would have scrapped my doors on my car. Unloading your car into the house is a bit of work as well due to the inclined driveway. None of this is negative just a heads up as this might be more difficult for some. I would recommend hitting the grocery on your way in we found that to be most convenient. There is not very much in the way of restaurants or places to go that aren’t at least 20 mins away and with the narrow roads tends to take a bit longer. We enjoyed using the grill & cooking our meals in. I would definitely recommend the cabin & Karen!

Cabin was very nice, very clean. Basement space was great loved the pool table and arcade game. We had a boat but did not park at the dock, but the marina was easy to get to. The driveway steepness did spook some of our crew but there were no issues parking at the top. We keep our boat at Fall Creek so the location was perfect for us, and we really like the north end of the lake. There were 7 of us and a baby and we had plenty of room. Overall considering the location and the size and cleanliness of the cabin a great value!

The cabin was perfect for our family during our week of graduation celebrations and is truly Zen! The pool table and video games were a fun extra bonus. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. The cabin was clean, comfortable and had plenty of space. The large porch was wonderful for morning coffee and late nights. Karen was extremely responsive to each question, etc. and the prompt communication was appreciated. The driveway is very very steep but our 84 yo family member was able to manage as there is parking midway down the driveway. The steps to the dock are equally steep so we didn’t go down but one time. There is a marina about 5 minutes and we appreciated Karen renting their boat during our stay. Overall it was a great time, very relaxing and close to Clemson!

The house and property were beautiful!!!!! The view from the balcony was breathtaking but the climb up the hill was a struggle

Hands down the best cabin at Lake Keowee!!! The hosts are incredible and have well-thought-out details. The Zen cabin created just that! ZEN!!!! The first morning our whole family ran down to the dock and jumped right into the water. IT WAS HEAVEN!!! So peaceful and we look forward to staying again! Thank you, Karen, for your wonderful hospitality!!! We will always remember the ZEN cabin.

The cabin is an amazing find! We stay there over a weekend. It’s very clean, has everything you need to spend your time at the lake. The owner is very responsive to any questions I had. Would stay there again!

We loved our stay at Zen Cabin. It’s truly a rustic log cabin but with all the comforts of home. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and hope to return soon!

The house was great but the location at the end of the cove was not ideal for our family. The kids love to swim off the dock but it was too shallow.

Beautiful log house on the lake with plenty of room. The driveway however is very steep as well as to the lake dock from the house. The house was very clean and cozy. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed our time there!

The description matched the property. We "enjoyed" the cardio workout down to the lake. Had no issues with getting a 23' pontoon boat to and from the dock. Kitchen has everything we needed for meal prep. Owners responded promptly to all questions, etc. Highly recommend this for a family reunion, or just chilling with some friends.

This is my second stay here.. we love it! Ideal for three couples and a few kids. Keowee is amazing and Karen is fantastic to work with. Id recommend this spot to anyone!

Beautiful home. Steep steps to the dock, so if you have elderly individuals this could pose a problem. The dock would be difficult to get to, if you are not a skilled boat driver. If scrutinizing … Would like to have another bathroom in the basement. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at this property! It had everything we needed and more and fit everyone comfortably. The pool table was such a fun addition and it was a short drive to Clemson for gameday. Would definitely come back. Karen made it extremely easy for us to access and was easily available at all time. Great Clemson reunion trip!

Beautiful surroundings, peaceful environment. Highlights for us as a family was the ability to travel too so many surrounding parks and touristy locations and still take a day to just stay at "The Zen" House to enjoy the lake.

We enjoyed a long weekend on the lake with family and friends. The cabin was clean and well furnished, with plenty to do once we were off of the water for the day. Communication with the owners was easy and thorough. Thanks for th great weekend!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the zen cabin. The owners have gone the extra step to make our stay a special experience. The kitchen provides all you need for cozy dinners on the lake. Best of all the water toys were a lot of fun. We used the paddle boards and the kayaks every day . For a big adventure we rented a pontoon boat for a day from a nearby marina. Having the map of the lake available from the cabin was a big plus.. thank you to our hosts for such a wonderful place

Wonderful stay at this property. It was equipped with everything we needed for a great vacation. The teenagers loved the paddle boards. The house was beautiful and relaxing. Thank you for such a great vacation!

The property was very clean and spacious which afforded a lot of comfort. Sitting out on the balcony early in the morning with a cup of coffee was just what the doctor ordered. Going to and from the lake was a challenge with long steep incline. Parking was also a challenge because we had two large SUVs.

The gameroom downstairs was an added bonus; we spent a lot of time playing games when it rained. However, eventhough clear pictures of the STEEP driveway and even STEEPER stairs down to the lake were included we were not quite prepared. If renters cannot use the lower parking pad, driveway only has room for one car.
