Perfect vacation spot for our family! The house is clean, spacious, and well-stocked with linens, towels, and kitchen necessities as well as games and lake "toys" (canoe, kayaks, paddle board). The lake is pristine and perfect for swimming, boating, and fishing. The dock with its diving/jumping platform is fantastic fun. Three generations had a great week!

We had a wonderful time on Branch lake!! The dive platform was huge hit regardless of the weather. I was in awe of the huge lake rocks and how clear the water was. We saw a bald eagle twice and so many fish. The house was a great fit for our large party. The beds were quite comfortable and the showers were exceptional! Can’t wait for next year.

Best lake house stay! Beautiful location on rarely traveled road. We do these family lake stays with 10 family members every summer and this was the best one yet. Enough water toys for everyone - paddle board, kayaks, canoe, dock and diving platform, beach with kids toys. Such a beautiful location on such a clean lake. Such great evenings around the fire and family meals on big picnic table on the deck. Can’t wait till next year!

Was looking for a lakefront summer vaca with swimming and boat access and close proximity to Acadia. This fit the bill and more. Enough room for adults, teens, and youngers to have space and also two gathering areas. Outdoor space was perfect with walk in swimming area, seating, and of course the high dive. Owner and property manager responsive. Can't recommend this property enough.

We have stayed at this property multiple times and every time we find new places to explore and new things to do. The property is well maintained and very clean. It is located close enough to Bar Harbor to make several day trips there. Ellsworth is a quaint New England town with lots of eateries and shops. This house is ideally located on the lake and the dock with swim perch is perfect for diving. There is a large amount of private shoreline and beach for pets and children to easily access. The house has an open concept design with a large fully stocked kitchen. There are magnificent views of the lake from the dining room, living room, downstairs den, and bar. The owner provides kayaks, canoes, and a paddle board to explore the lake. The canoeing and the kayaks are a great way for several family members to explore the lake together. We enjoyed many family sunset dinners on the outside deck overlooking the waterfront. Peter and Jessica are extraordinary hosts. They are easy going and very responsive to any and all your needs. It is very nice to have such accommodating hosts. This is a very special property.

We had a great time playing in the water as well as easy access down to Acadia for hiking, running carriage trails, etc. The lake is super clean - it has a small area for little kids and a great platform for our teenagers to jump. The house was well appointed including having everything you need for a lobster dinner for 13 people. The Property Manager was very responsive. A great week overall!

beautiful lakeside property. only downside was lots of stairs for us 'older types'. But we managed just fine ! Convenient for visits to nearby Acadia SP and other locations in the East of Maine.

My family and our friends absolutely loved this property! The home was beautiful and we could not of asked for a better location. We thoroughly enjoyed using the kayaks, canoe, paddle board and jumping off the diving platform. We could have enjoyed our vacation without ever leaving the house. But being so close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park we definitely had to explore. We will definitely be returning!

Very nice house with a cabin feel. The house was very clean, with all the amenities that we needed. Absolutely stunning views, especially the sunsets! We had a great time in a great location. Out of the way enough to not be crowded, close enough to necessities to get there in a short time. The only problem was that the property was so nice that we didn't want to go to Bar Harbor and other attractions as much as I would have liked.

We had a great week up at this lake house. The house is in great condition and has a fantastic waterfront with plenty of toys to use. The lake is very clean and quiet with amazing sunsets.

We couldn’t have been happier with our choice to stay at the lake house! We had several members of our family staying, including a senior citizen, middle-aged adults, a college student, a high school student and an elementary student, and each one of us had our own space. We also all had activities that we enjoyed, including jumping off the high dive platform, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding and hiking. The lake is so close and clear that from inside the house it looks like you can just jump right into it from the deck. The house had all the amenities we needed. We loved having a washer and dryer we could use, and we cooked several times using the pots and pans. We also used the grill several times and made s’mores in the fire pit. Only downfall there is that the outdoor fire chimney is mighty close to the bushes separating the yard from the neighbor’s, and it made us a little nervous. The main bathroom is beautiful, and everyone enjoyed the rainfall shower, but it did soak the floor quite a bit, necessitating the use of quite a few towels to soak it all up. We spent several days just resting at the lake house, but we also explored Acadia twice, Bar Harbor, and had a wonderful dinner in Ellsworth. All in all, this was an amazing experience, and the lake house was one of our favorite rentals ever!

Glorious family vacation. House was a perfect set up for a multigenerational family ages 1 to 62 and 2 dogs. It was turn key. Didn’t need a thing. Water front also had every amenity. We enjoyed each one of them! The listing includes a recommendation for boat rentals. We rented a pontoon boat for the week. Super easy to do and the boat rental owner was also awesome.

our second vacation here. our family looked forward to this week together all year long. grandkids enjoy the water/ sand/ diving platform very much. house is great. can't beat branch lake for the water quality. quiet neighbors, lovely cove; just a wonderful week together.

The property was very clean and had all the amenities needed to relax and enjoy the lake house. The property managers are very accommodating and responsive to guest's needs. The location of the property provides easy access to Acadia National Park and the beautiful town of Ellsworth. The lake property has canoes, kayaks and paddle boards needed to explore the lake and the dock with its high dive perch provides endless fun. Peter and Jessica are wonderful to work with and eager to make sure everyone has a wonderful time. I highly recommend this property!

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The owner and property manager are great. Thanks to Jessica for checking in just ahead of our trip with additional property and area information. The house itself is in a perfect location. We were able to get to all areas of Acadia with a short drive. We had a three year old, a one year old, a 10 year old, and a dog with us. We were able to keep the little ones and dog contained to the downstairs area when needed (the kids tend to wake up a tad on the early side), which we could close off with a few doors. They basically had their own space with a bedroom, living area, laundry and a bathroom all right there. A sliding glass door provided easy lake/beach access as well. There were even two baby/pet gates provided - that made life easier. The kitchen was well equipped with all you would need. We did a lot of cooking together. There is ample seating for all indoors and out. There are many windows and doors to open to fresh air, and excellent lake views from almost every room. One of our party slept in the upstairs nook with a very comfortable futon and enjoyed the sunrise and view every morning. Bedding throughout was very comfortable. If you have kids, you will appreciate the little beach area. Having a shallow space to splash around with no worries is perfect. The outdoor fireplace was nice for sitting around and toasting marshmallows. I recommend sitting out on the dock and enjoying the view of the stars over the lake if you have a clear night. You couldn't ask for a better place.

We had an amazing time. The house was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the paddle boards, canoes, and kayaks. The Eagle that visited was just amazing to see. I would 100% recommend this house and location. The owners were so nice to deal with and answered any questions we had.

The house was great! Great kitchen especially if you like to cook. Within 15-20 minutes to Ellsworth. Nice drive to Acadia and Schoobic Point. Lake was beautiful, comfy chairs by the lake, nice dock. Comfortable beds. Would have liked to have some chairs up on the deck facing the lake. Overall we had 9 people in our group & the house was very comfortable for our group.

This house is amazing! My husband and I have stayed at multiple vacation rentals, and this is one of the best. For this trip, we had 3 generations of family staying in the home and there was plenty of room to spread out or gather for family meals and games/activities. We enjoyed our meals on the long picnic tables on the deck during sunset (even in chilly weather) and coffee or tea on the adirondack chairs during the day while we watched the kids play. Our favorite times were doing family paddles on the calm lake and seeing the remaining loons, the bald eagle on the island, and the beautiful fall colors. Some of us even saw the lake otter scamper across the beach below. The kids absolutely loved playing in the water on the beach as well. All of them learned to paddle by themselves (from ages 9 down to 4) and were so proud of themselves! We explored Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, which are very nice. However, there were too many people this year and we were so happy to get back to our peaceful place at the lake house. The house was super clean when we arrived and contained everything we could possibly want. The showers and bath are heavenly. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us.

Wow - what an incredible spot! The owner and property manager are amazing hosts and have thought of literally everything to make their lakeside camp a vacationer’s paradise. Completely stocked kitchen (except for food of course), modern and beautiful appliances, super comfortable beds and pillows, enough towels to last a full house for the week. We enjoyed their outdoor seating, fire pit, kayaking and all the perks that come with staying on Branch Lake in autumn - like the stunning sunsets and foliage. We were even lucky enough to be visited multiple times by an otter on the beach that we named Otto — if you spot him/her, tell them we say ‘hey’. We equally loved lounging in the comfortable living rooms and their flat screen TVs. We had more than one cozy movie night. The entire property is a work of art, and we hope to visit again in the future with more friends and family. The owners are also delightful and easy to communicate with. Thank you, Mainguys!

Really enjoyed our multi family vacation in this lakefront retreat. We made full use of the kayaks to explore the lake, all sat around the fire pit while the kids roasted marshmallows at night and explored in all directions from Acadia to Camden and beyond from our base camp. Three generations, 6 adults & 3 kids were very comfortable and had plenty of room to spread out. Very well equipped kitchen, grill, 3 TVs and laundry room made it convenient and comfy when coming home hungry and in need of a hot scrub up at the end of a day out. Relaxing and quiet at night hearing the sound of loons with the windows open to get the cool breeze from the water. The stairs are rather steep, but that’s the only thing that we’d change. Overall the location, amenities and comfort were fantastic. Great family trip, great house and great host.

Everything was great at the property, we all had a great time! The lake and surrounding areas had a lot to offer, and we got to do and see many of them on our adventure! I would definitely recommend this property if you are looking for a quiet lake retreat! The communication with Peter and Jessica was spot on, and they were very responsive to all of our questions.

This was a beautiful property, they had your basic paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, provided laundry detergent and dryer sheets as well. We would definitely return to this property. Peter and Heather were wonderful and always answered my emails quickly and efficiently.
