Maison extraordinaire dans cadre magnifique, les mangues ramassées parterre pour le petit déjeuner expliquent à elles seules le dépaysement ! J'ai juste souffert du chaud pendant la nuit car il n'y a pas de clim. dans les chambres.... Mais dans une écolodge c'est un peu normal ! Notre hôte Gislain c'est montré très aimable et très sympathique. A recommander Philippe

Le lieu est exceptionnel, la maison magnifique, notre hôte Ghislain adorable, présent mais très discret, nous a conseillé tous les bons plans. C’etait parfait!

Villa Mango is roomy and comfortable, set in a grove of green trees up a hill. It has four bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, however one of the bathrooms is small and is en suite in one of the bedrooms. So it's not really available for general use, just for whoever is staying in that particular bedroom. The other bathroom is large. The kitchen also is convenient, roomy, and well-appointed. We are an extended family of three couples and two kids and were very comfortable in the house. We did a lot of cooking. The terrace (large table, with pool and big deck) is beautiful and we spent most of our time there. Everything is very clean, beds very comfortable. There's a bit of non-human life to get used to: cats and chickens that make themselves at home around and sometime in the house, plenty of bugs (spiders, beetles), mosquitoes when the breeze dies down. Mosquitoes are around usually only in the early morning and at dusk. Citronella candles and kid-friendly bug repellant kept them away quite well. The beaches here are gorgeous, Deshaies is a sleepy but sweet little town, with many good restaurants close by. The house is just up the road (easy walking distance) to the Plage du Grand Anse and a 5 minute drive from Plage de la Perle. Food shopping is best at the Super U which is a few kilometers north on the coast road. For fans of "Death in Paradise", it's an added fun bonus to see some of the shooting locations. We had a wonderful week here, and would highly recommend Ecolodges Karet and the villa Mango.
