This place has it all—incredible views (sunrises AND sunsets), fun in the water, wildlife viewing, oysters off the beach, nearby hiking and amenities galore. This was the perfect spot for our Summer family gathering. Thank you!

Every single box was checked when it comes to a home on VRBO. The owner was absolutely outstanding with communication. The house was very clean (at times it seemed like the rooms didn’t stop coming), the organization of all of their spare items was so easy to follow, and the view is spectacular! Would love an opportunity to stay here again in the future.

My eight person family enjoyed every aspect of this property: watching seals and ducks while playing board games on the deck, soaking in the hot tub after a hike through Staircase, kayaking, and air hockey! I would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and entertaining Hood Canal experience. Thanks so much for the memorable stay!

We enjoyed every minute of our time at this house and really wished we had booked for at least two more days. We lounged on the dock while watching herons and seals and we spotted otters too one early morning! We relaxed in the hot tub, slept well in the deluxe beds, BBQ'd oysters on the deck, cooked a few meals in the beautiful kitchen and played games at the large table all while watching the changing views.

Hiked Mt Rose, enjoyed water activities with friends, beautiful sunrise and sunset views. Couldn't have asked for a better place to reunite with friends.

We celebrated my 60th birthday with family from Seattle and Corvallis OR. We had a great time on the water and enjoyed the location of the house to the golf courses.

As a frequent VRBO renter, my adult sons and I have had excellent experiences. But, this home is the BEST we have ever seen. The home itself is beautiful, clean and has incredible features including kitchen, comfortable beds, game room, tv room and astounding views. The location and ample water toys (kayaks, paddle boards, etc.) were phenomenal!! My sons and I went out on the relatively warm water more often than we hiked (Olympic NP, Staircase hikes were nearby and gorgeous)! The seals (sea lions?) were adorable. Quickly sticking their heads out of the water to stare at us, then darting back under water. We could see a couple of them from the home's balcony and dock (without going out into the canal). And, plenty of restaurants with great food when we did not cook. Such an enjoyable stay. Thanks to the owners! I hope we will be back!

Our 16th annual "family week" was fabulous, greatly aided by this wonderful property! Everyone slept well, ate well, and never had to wonder what to do. Many paddleboarded, some kayaked and canoed, many local hikes were traveled, and the prime rib dip sandwiches and ice cream at the store down the road were wonderful. Fabulous meals were cooked in the well equiped kitchen and the oysters on the grill were beyond compare to any one might find in a restaurant! The big table was perfect for games and the big TV allowed us to cheer the Seattle Storm to victory in their first playoff game of the year. I can't recommend this location adequately - come here and have a great time!!!

You will never be bored staying at David's rental in Union. It's on the water- with lots of water toys to use. The water is refreshing and seals were often curious what we were doing when we were in the water. The house fits 12 people perfectly. 4 kids can easily fit in the loft space and you can fit several blow up mattresses in the sleeping area in the game room if needed. We loved having the kids a little seperated from us so we could talk/hang out in peace. The game room was a blast! The deck/view was amazing. The kitchen has everything you need to cook full meals. We ate every meal in and even used the bbq. The hot tub worked perfectly. The weather was amazing. We rent a house with three families each year and this house was BY FAR the best house we've ever rented!

Absolutely gorgeous spot! We played, we swam, we paddled, and we even saw orcas swim by just beyond the floating trampoline just off the dock—spectacular! Delicious oysters! I very much hope we get a chance to return.

David and his family keep this home exceptionally well stocked with both kitchen/grilling gear and outdoor sports equipment — two categories that many homes do not meet. The location is second to none. The property is on the beautiful Hood Canal with a deep water dock. Amazing.

Our multigenerational group very much enjoyed the lovely home on the river. The house is beautiful and comfortable with lots of entertainment features. The best part was the water and the incredible view. We had a great time kayaking and sitting on the deck looking at river otters and bald eagles.

This is second times we are here and we enjoy every minute. Thanks Dave & Katie! For sure we will be back again.

Relaxing

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Created so many memories! Several chef's in the family so we took advantage of all of the wonderful ingredients on the beach. Grilled Oysters, Paella (mussels and clams were plentiful), brought our portable pizza oven and made some fantastic pies! Grandkids loved the game room and kayaks! Granddaughter is still talking about the "hot pool"! Seals were so much fun. Lots to do and see. We all left feeling spoiled and exhausted! Such a lovely home. Lots of room to spread out!

Very nice house, great view throughout the house. Dave was a great host and he offered us early check in without charge. Thanks Dave for everything. We definitely will come back again.

Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. This place is absolute bliss and well- appointed for families. Oysters, lots of space, basically a whole kids quarters, a huge hot tub, a paddle boat…the list goes on! Can’t wait to go back on a school break so we can stay longer!

Wonderful house. Eight of us stayed for a family weekend. Great house for families and to celebrate a birthday.

Such a relaxing, fun experience!! The views are even more beautiful than described. There was plenty of room for us. Everything provided was exceptional. We absolutely had the best little weekend getaway here! We will look to come back soon!

Amazing location! You a could spend all your time enjoying everything this home had to offer - waterfront, game room, hot tub, or explore the many places nearby. We loved the day hikes in the area and coming back to enjoy the sunset view. The house has everything we needed.

We had 8 adults and 2 children (age 2 and 1) staying two nights. We had plenty of room for the various nap times (adults too!) And bed times. We LOVED the game room (except the couch is not designed for long term sitting...) We set records on the golf arcade, which was surprisingly fun to play! The kitchen has lots of tools, gadgets, pans, and dishes to keep our meals rolling along. We appreciated the big fridge and utilized the second fridge for overflow. Tons of pillows, luxurious comforters, variety of lighting in every room. It was more like staying at a relative's house than a rental with all the homey touches. Poking around the discarded shells on the beach was an adventure too! So nice to have so much to do without leaving the property. Hottub at all hours of the day and night 😊 The view is constantly changing. Fog lifted to reveal the Olympic mountain range and it felt like witnessing a miracle when the mountains suddenly appeared on the horizon!! One Seagull was always present on the deck rail, watching us thru the window like he was watching "people vision " 😆 we loved watching right back! The driveway entrance was a common topic of interest 😬 we made it!! Felt like an achievement lol. It's not as scary as it first appeared. Looks like a pedestrian walkway as you approach in a car. Just go slow and use your copilot to reassure the driver, "you've got plenty of room on this side" It. Is. Beautiful. Totally worth it!!! ❤❤❤

My family and two others spent NYE here and had a great time. All everyone could talk about was when we should come back. David the owner was great. He sent messages ahead of time with info and was quick to respond to any questions we had.

Our family get to enjoy this house during Christmas since our house was being remodeled. We had a great time and very beautiful view.

Our whole group enjoyed our weekend stay! The home had every amenity necessary and MORE. Group consisted of 4 couples and 3 children under 2 so the floor plan really benefited everyone in our party. We loved the open kitchen and spent quite a bit of time there cooking and enjoying the views. There was also a festive Christmas tree up which added a nice celebratory touch to our stay. Even with toddlers in tow we were able to relax and slow down a bit. The beds were extremely comfortable too! We loved the property so much we are already planning to return to enjoy it during the summertime.

This rental was perfect for our family. There was so much space to explore for the kids and the game room was such a bonus. Having the water and beach right outside was amazing, and waking up to seals right out on the docks was an extra treat. David was so great to communicate with and went above and beyond my expectations. We can’t wait to come back in the summer time so we can really utilize all the fun warm weather activities.
