We loved our stay here for a girls week away. The cottage has history but every attempt was made to provide modern day comforts without losing the old world charm. Such a tranquil place to stay. The decor was thoughtful and loving furnished. There was a beautiful ambience about the place and a view to die for. The shelves were stocked and there were so many little extras that enhanced our stay. Windows were so clean so we could appreciate the view. The beds were comfortable and with the fans and air conditioner it was easy to sleep. We will definitely book here again. So many magical things to do here and we only touched the surface. It was really lovely to stay at this beautiful old property in in Fishing Point. The cottage has great character and history and we instantly felt comfortable and relaxed. The hosts were easy going, very helpful and great communicators. Our visit coincided with some very wet weather, but it was we loved seeing the changing conditions on the lake from the picture windows and hear the rain pelting on the roof. Would love to visit again, thank you.

This spacious old home is clean and tidy. It's situated on a big section with lake views. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful.

A great place to stay. Nice property overlooking the lake. Garry was great in ensuring all was ready when we arrived including having the fire set and ready to go (it was winter)!!

We stayed for three nights and enjoyed every moment. The property is simple and spacious; And the location quiet and private. Access to jettys, and bike paths was very simple. The surf beaches were only a 25 minute dive away. The shopping strip in Rathmines is a two minute drive had everything needed - the fish and chips were great! And Toronto is only a few more minutes drive away for any major purchases - Greg & Audrey's Ice Cream Shop was a winner with the children. A very relaxing place to stay.

Great location, close to lake and boat ramp. Cosy little house with all the necessities. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away from the city for some R&R.

The 2-bedroom cottage with large verandah was very cosy:- comfortable double bed , and single beds , all with clean linen; the kitchen is equipped with both a gas stove , a microwave , and plenty of cutlery & adequate cooking utensils ( we do not need to do much serious cooking , as our main focus is the beautiful Lake Macquarie , and fishing at the jetties ). The cottage has panoramic views , and is very close to the Lake . Our special thanks goes to Garry , the owner — he has been very responsive to a few of our enquiries . An additional feature is that this cottage is located in Fishing Point —a very serene suburb with friendly residents and visitors . We highly recommend to friends , especially those with their own family .

We had a long weekend at the house and really enjoyed our stay, great view over the lake and a short drive away from local fishing, swimming and restuarants.

Lovely clean old cottage and with all essential amenities. How holiday houses used to be :) Great views of the Lake and great location - boat ramp 5 minutes away, Wangi and Rathmines close by. Will be back again!

What a beautiful place to stay.. the fabulous views in the morning... the lovely old cottage with leadlights.. meals and entertainment readily available in two lakeside towns... walks through the lakeside reserve and walking tracks around the lake... very recommended!
