House was well equipped. We were only 2 people but could hold 6 people easily. Very clean and kitchen and bathroom well equipped. Walking distance to bars and restaurants on island. Would definitely come back to this beautiful beach house.

This is our 3rd year in this property and we are very pleased with it. We have been coming to the area for 25 years and this is our 15th year on SGI. We have stayed at a few different properties and enjoy this property. The only downside - you have to get your stuff out to the beach early in order to get a spot due to the close proximity of neighbors. This year - the property was the cleanest we have ever seen when we arrived. Close walking distance to the shops and Blue Parrot. The very-few negatives: Could use a few extra forks (5 isn't enough), the weather stripping on the road-side door is missing - allows bugs to come in and the exhaust fan in the bathroom sounds like it is going to take off any day now.Had to talk with the property manager during the week to give permission for a service call and they were friendly and knew the area (unlike another property management company).Would recommend this place to anyone - except for the week we want it.

The location is perfect for walking to restaurants and our teens went for ice cream and biked most days. Space is good and all the appliances worked, water pressure was good, deck space was excellent. Loved having the top deck gate so we could sit on the deck with our dog and not worry. We were completely aware for the money and dog friendly, there would be normal wear and tear on the property. Furniture was comfortable and beach walk was in good shape (no splinters with trex). We did bring our Amazon fire stick and we had no problems with the wifi. We liked that we were far enough from the public access so we had lots of space on the beach. Every house just picked a spot on the first day and we all stuck to it all week.

We enjoyed our short week at this property . The house was clean and orderly . The view from the decks was amazing . We also enjoyed the dry outdoor shower and lounge area on the bottom deck .

The island is amazing. It's not commercialized, all in walking distance, and not "island prices". There was no short on happy staff and there were relatively no waits at restaurants. The beach is beautiful, clean and not overcrowded. Would 100% recommend a trip to St. George's Island.
The house is dated and could use a facelift, but it did not take away from the trip at all. It is much closer to the beach than the pictures give justice. And you cannot beat the views from the back porches. We had three kids and four adults and the size was great for us.
I would recommend bringing extra towels and laundry detergent as the ability to hang towels (beach or shower) and bathing suits is very limited. The queen beds are very, very small queens, if not even full size/double beds.
The rental credit was great - we got bikes and extra chairs. The kids loved the ability to go anywhere on the island with the bikes.

The house was very clean when we arrived - which we were surprised because over the past few years, cleaning hasn't been a priority for most companies. The house is in a good location - as long as you realize you are in a more condensed area and there will be people on top of you on the beach. But you can walk easily to the shops and restaurants.The only major issue we had with the place is that during our stay, we killed 4 roaches. Normally I would just pass this off as "Florida", but we haven't had that issue too often in our stays on SGI and it was surprising to see since our house was very clean when we got there. Minor issues we had, I noticed that the weather striping on the front door doesn't go down to the floor and you can see outside. The sliding doors don't lock and some of the doors don't open all the way. Nothing that affected our vacation though. Overall - it is one of the nicer Island Cottages that we have stayed in.

Upon arrival, someone stopped by to check on how their cleaning crew did. They noticed it was hot, so immediately sent someone over to check. All was good - just needed a few minute to cool off! We also misplaced our golf cart key and on their own, they went to the rental shop and got us a spare! What great service!Location was great. Walking distance to alot of places. The home was very nice; cozy, very comfortable beds, clean, plenty of pantry storage in the kitchen, kitchen was well stocked with cups/plates/utencils. If anything, maybe they needed some paint touch ups and bathroom door in master didnt shut well, but that is so very minor The deck layout was fabulous! Loved having gates on all the deck levels. The shower as you get off the beach was so nice! For the value, we will definitely rent again!

Convenient location. Experienced some unusual weather…..thunderstorms and heavy winds that took out the water substation, staff was informed and kept in communication until the service was turned back on.

Really enjoyed our stay. House was clean and convenient to center of island. Great decks to view the ocean. Short walk to private beach. It was nice to not have to rush out and drop your beach gear early in the morning like most places during spring break. Would definitely stay here again.

We rented for 4 weeks and loved it. The house is very comfy, the bed was comfy and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking. The views are amazing. Rain or shine. There are 3 decks you can choose from which was nice becoz the lower deck was a little warmer on a windy day. You can walk to restaurants, grocery and amazing donuts at Webers. Our two pups enjoyed the beach also. We felt this place was awesome. Would definitely rent again.

The house has a perfect view of the Gulf and direct access to the beach. Balconies on two levels, as well as a little nook on the ground level, provide a variety of spaces for relaxing. Tasteful and quiet.

The house is in a great location - looks out on the beach and its right at the center of the island. It is in dire need of maintenance and updating. Kitchen cabinets had velcro on them to keep them shut.

We enjoyed our time on St George island. The beach views were incredible. The house was a very short walk to the beach. We enjoyed being able to grill at the property. The only thing is would change would be upgrading the mattresses, pillows, and the water heater. Beds were pretty uncomfortable, pillows were flat, and there seemed to be very limited warm (it didn’t really get hot) for bathing.

Right on the beach, clean, had everything we needed for the week. Rental company extremely helpful and quick turn around for any questions we had. The rental is very near the grocery stores and in walking distance to several businesses such as ice cream stores, beach wear, seafood trucks, and a couple of restaurants. The free Vacay Gear was sweet too for renting a kayak and beach umbrellas.

If you are looking for a laid back beach experience this is your place! Great lay out, well appointed kitchen, comfy beds, and absolutely awesome views. Easy walk to the beach so it makes it great for families with lots of gear or families who have young ones that require a mid day break. LOTS of stairs so if your knees are wobbly take care with this property ... you WILL get your work out! Also - GREAT property managers ... very attentive and thoughtful!

We loved the central location, being on the beac, and the size of the house. We were a party of six and had plenty of space. The house had everything we needed so no complaints from me. The island has a few haunts that are worth a visit and the proximity to Apalachicola was a bonus. We will definitely visit again.

Enjoyed our stay, but…
This was our third visit to SGI and we love vacationing on the island. This rental home was average in terms of condition. The back porch / deck was very nice and the furniture was worn, but not bad for a rental home. The kitchen had basic kitchen wear but was not stocked with anything else. Our only complaint was how dirty the bathrooms were. We purchased cleaning supplies and cleaned them ourselves because the mildew was terrible. The place needs a deep clean and it will be fine. But guests should not have to clean bathrooms after a long day of travel.

Great spot right on the beach, and within walking distance to shopping.
It could use a little TLC, compared to the other homes in that row. Otherwise, it had everything we needed to enjoy our trip!
