Wir haben eine Nacht im Wild Glamping Knuckles verbracht und haben diesen aussergewöhnlichen Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Die Unterkunft liegt etwas abgelegen in der schönen Bergregion, perfekt für alle, die gerne in der Natur sind und gern wandern. Die Zelte sind gut ausgestattet, die Übernachtung war ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, wir haben uns beim leckeren Abendessen gut unterhalten. Am Tag unserer Abreise haben wir den Heel Oya Trek mit einem privaten Guide gemacht - sehr empfehlenswert! Wir sind durch Nadelwälder, Teeplantagen und Reisfelder gelaufen, konnten uns bei einem Wasserfall abkühlen und haben zum Schluss bei einer einheimischen Familie zu Mittag gegessen. Der Guide konnte uns zudem viel Spannendes über die Region erzählen. Unser Gepäck wurde uns vom Zelt zum Endpunkt des Treks gebracht, die Hosts haben also für eine reibungslose Weiterreise gesorgt. Alles in allem war es eine sehr schöne Erfahrung, die wir allen Abenteurern weiterempfehlen können!

Da die Unterkunft abgelegen in den Bergen liegt, führt die Anreise über kurvige und teils holprige Strassen und kann je nach Startpunkt etwas länger dauern. Was uns zwar nicht gestört hat, aber zu beachten gilt, ist, dass es in der Nacht relativ kalt werden kann. Daher sollte man auch ein paar wärmere Kleidungsstücke einpacken.

The Environment, the Food and the people there

First of all, the way to get there already starts the feeling of adventure. A 4×4 vehicle picks you up for an off-road experience. When you arrive an intimate and dedicated staff greets you, the hotel manager welcomes you and explains everything that awaits you while the rest make sure your luggage reaches your tent. The tent has a private toilet and shower with hot water all the time. And their hiking trails are just crazy! The guide who joins you is dedicated and full of knowledge and will take you to magical and stunning places!

We thoroughly enjoyed the unique accommodations. The food was delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and having a good time. If you want to wake up to the serene beauty of Knuckles mountain in comfort, this is the experience for you!

I can't think of anything that would make this experience better. Knuckles Glamping delivered above and beyond what we expected. Keep doing what you're doing!

Our 2 days in Knuckles Wild Glamping were our favourite days in Sri Lanka! Everyone was so friendly. Bankua helped us find our way there (as we drove ourselves and arrived at night). And Sajith guided us on our 14km hike to the waterfall. We learned so many interesting things from him and by the time we had to leave, it felt like we had made a new friend! Also, the food was so delicious! We loved the breakfast, lunch and BBQ dinner! Thank you all so much for making our stay so memorable. We hope that we can return one day.

Perfectly located in the mountains, a few km from the road a perfect facility is found. The crew picks . you up with a 4*4 to a great, spacious, clean tent. Meals were tasty, short hoking was great The time away from wifi did our family very good.
