This is our second stay at the Sunshine Cottage, but it won't be our last. The Cottage had everything that my husband and I and our friend, needed. It was very pretty, clean and comfortable, and in a perfect location for exploring Beaufort. Halfway between Savannah and Charleston so we were easily able to explore both those cities too. Communication with owner was excellent! I highly recommend this property. You won't be disappointed.

This is a good place for groups of 4 or less. Everything was very clean and everything needed was provided. There are no onsite laundry facilities. Owner was very easy to communicate with and responded very promptly to any questions. I would recommend this house and look forward to staying here again should we return to the area. Very quiet neighborhood.

The inside was beautiful and comfortable, outside could of been in better condition and didn't realize it was in a neighborhood so close to other homes.

When we first pulled up to our little cottage, we were a little uncertain about the neighborhood, but after checking in and walking around a bit, we realized that everything was fine. We walked to the riverfront park for supper and ice cream. And enjoyed our short stroll back to the cottage. We sat on the back patio in the evening and thoroughly enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. We would love to stay again, but the lack of access to laundry facilities would make me hesitant to stay for more than a few days.

Our 2nd year at this property and we are in love with it 😍 ..... beautiful home and a short walk to bay street where all the action is , restaurants, pubs, live music , shopping, beautiful water front views, etc..... also short drives to hunting Island state park , beaches, port royal, lady's Island. .... our new favorite place and will definitely be back !

The Sunshine Cottage was a true delight to stay at. The home was very clean and it was beautifully decorated. We really enjoyed how close it was to the downtown and to the Bay – an area that was very pleasant to walk around. We likewise had a great time heading out to Hunting Island State Park to walk the beach and it was a nice touch that the use of the pass was included in our stay. Karen was very friendly, responsive and welcoming.

This house is so clean and the location to Bay St is not a problem for us and we're over 60! The neighborhood is quiet, and the people are so friendly. Awesome front porch and back yard!

Sunshine Cottage is in a great location close to Bay St. Spacious, beautifully furnished, with comfortable beds. Karen, the Horst, is extremely responsive and has been a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!

This comfortable, well furnished and well stocked home is a short walk or bike ride to restaurants and shops along Bay Street and the waterfront. It’s located in a quiet residential area with friendly, helpful neighbors. It’s a short drive to Port Royal and Parris Island.
From start to finish Karen’s communication was exceptional. She couldn’t have been more accessible.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and hope to be back soon.

We had a lovely two night stay . Very comfortable and well appointed cottage. Located in a convenient area close to downtown. Quiet neighborhood. Only wish it had a washer /dryer.

This was a nice little house for our stay in Beaufort. Clean and well appointed. We were here for Labor Day weekend and the neighbors had a party. But they were not too loud and finished by midnight. Karen checked out us the entire weekend to be sure we did not have any problems.

Awesome cottage
This cottage was beautiful, clean , and you couldn't ask for a better location ! Literally minutes away from Bay Street, and all of the great restaurants, shops , waterfront, etc ... short drive to hunting Island, lady's Island, Dataw, fripp , etc..... our host , Karen , was super helpful and friendly 😁 she checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed many times and we really appreciated it ..... we are already planning our next trip back and are spreading the word to all of our friends and family 👪 ....... thanks for a great vacation Karen !

Cute Little Cottage Close to Everything!
This cute cottage was so bright and airy. It was extremely clean. The location is just a few blocks from Bay Street and Waterfront Park which makes it ideal. The neighborhood was very peaceful and quiet. The wifi was fast and connected easily. Our only issue was the low water pressure in the showers. That could have been better but it wasn't a big deal since we were only staying four days. Overall, not a bad little place and we would stay here again!

Perfectly located, Perfectly cozy
Our little group of 4 ladies just loved this cottage. Fully updated with modern baths and kitchen, adorable decor, and great bed linens, it was perfect for our long weekend. The kitchen is equipped with everything we could need. The location allowed us to park the car and explore on foot. Will stay here again soon!

Cozy cottage
Property is very clean, nicely remodeled. Perfect for my wife and me, would be perfect for 4-5 family/friends. Great kitchen appliances, nice smart TV, security system, HVAC. Outdoor temperature was a bit cool part of our week long stay, got a little extra heat when needed during the day from a nice portable electric fireplace/heater. Excellent location a few blocks from the waterfront, downtown, and marvelous antebellum historic district. Owner provided great directions by portal mail, and in print; also very friendly and easy to contact. Replies were prompt. We didn't experience any problems during our stay. Great week-long visit in historic Beaufort!!!

Awesome Location with close access to downtown Beaufort.
This property was quaint and beautifully decorated with every little detail. We visited for a wedding and the location was perfect near other VRBO's that our friends rented. The cottage was clean and comfortable for our family and definitely would visit again!

A wonderful visit to the Sunshine Cottage
I would recommend the Sunshine Cottage to anyone visiting the Beaufort area. My husband and I spent four days at the cottage. The size is perfect with good sized bedrooms and two full bathrooms, and a great den where I was able to hole up to finish a multi-media homework project. The house was clean, very comfortable with every amenity we could want or need. Great quiet, safe neighborhood and only a few blocks walk to Beaufort's downtown area along the water. Communication with the owner, Karen, was excellent. We are hoping to return to the Sunshine Cottage in the future!

Peaceful Respite in a beautiful home; beyond expectations!
The property was lovely, beautiful and tastefully appointed with attention to details beyond all we expected or even hoped. The owner could not have been any kinder, helpful or attentive to our needs. Traveling with 88 year old mother and brother with physical limitations proved to be a heartwarming memory making trip back home to see old friends and former homes left behind. A large part of the joy of the trip was the Sunshine Cottage and Karen, the owner. Karen was available and patiently answered all questions. Mother and Brother were impressed and blessed to stay in the cottage. Thank you, Karen for an experience we won’t forget.
