Nice place, though right on the street so loud at night. Host's were amazing...oh, and preheat shower 5 minutes before entering, water takes a bit to heat up...

We really loved being here - the style of the apartment itself, the lodge, just everthing was great.

A perfect stay in Palm Springs. Very clean & updated lodging. The pool was perfect, beautiful setting & very relaxing. History of the lodging is very fun. Very nice host, will definitely stay again.

We spent 4 nights and we were very impressed with the property. It has everything you could possibly need and many extras in case you forgot anything! Excellent location, super clean and both the owner Robert and the property manager Brian were beyond excellent to deal with and were very accommodating. We will absolutely be back and have recommended to many of our friends and family already. I highly recommend booking this condo.

Robert was an amazing host and worked with me on flexible check-in and check-out and was very quick in his responses whenever I had questions. He was very understanding and patient and generous with me and he made the experience professional but warm. The apartment itself looks just like the photos and is very comfortable and clean. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Such a wonderful place! Spectacular decor and attention to detail. Meticulously clean and well-maintained. The private patio is perfect for morning coffee and mountain views. Updated kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of towels for poolside. And the pool! Beautiful setting, salt-water pool with 50's era background music. We will certainly be back, hopefully for many years to come.

Immaculately clean and updated modern bungalow at famous Ocotillo Lodge. Completely private large outdoor space with dining table and chaise lounges, lush private garden. Clear views of Mount San Jacinto from both the patio...and the couch in the living room. Well located just between the Deepwell and Twin Palms neighborhoods with their iconic mid century homes - great for quiet walks. Pool and surrounding communal space are huge and never more than a few people during my stay. Sweeping views poolside of entire southern range. Owner and manager are wonderful and accessible. A great find!

The condo was delightful. Floor to ceiling windows, nicely decorated and with a beautiful fenced patio. Robert was amazing!

The Fred Astaire Suite was the perfect escape to Palm Springs. It’s beautifully appointed, in a great location and Robert is a wonderful host. I highly recommend it!

Beautiful unit with all the amenities of home. Well appointed kitchen with everything needed to cook a gourmet meal. On site laundry facilities. Lodge backs up to the Twin Palms neighborhood which is ideal for an early morning run or late night walk. Very close to downtown Palm Springs; less than a 5 minute drive. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, didn’t even rent a car, great decor, well thought out amenities, fabulous pool. Seemless lcheck-in and check out. Communication with owner prompt. Most happy with our stay and anxious to return.

Relaxing and easy stay in beautiful Palm Springs.

Apartment was immaculate and well appointed. Everything you could possibly need from housewares to bathrobes. Robert was more than attentive and even delivered an umbrella to us. Would stay here again in a minute. Only slight drawback for us is distance from downtown. A long walk or a quick drive depending on your preference. Veey convenient 10 min drive to the airport.

The weather in Palm Springs wasn’t great, but the unit was great. Super convenient to everything, clean as a whistle and totally mid-century charming. Robert was a doll and we’ll be back for sure.

My girlfriend and I visited Palm Springs for Modernism Week. There were many things we liked about our accommodations at the Occotillo. The mid century décor paid homage to the era of the lodge. We spent mornings on the private patio drinking coffee wearing the luxury bathrobes. In the afternoon, we lounged by the pool and enjoyed listening to ModFM 107.3, a local radio station dedicated to music of the 60's. The location of the Lodge in the Twin Palms neighborhood gave us easy access to downtown Palm Springs. The only thing I would share to help create a proper expectation is the room is on the Palm Canyon side of the Lodge and the road noise is apparent. However, it did not detract from our lodging experience. I highly recommend!

We absolutely fell in love with the condo and the complex! The unit is even better than the photos…decorated beautifully with mid-century modern furnishings. Super clean and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. We needed some batteries for the TV remote in the bedroom and the property manager came over right away and took care of it. Loved the beautiful patio and the daily visits from the hummingbirds. There is no washer/dryer in the unit, but we dropped some laundry off at Tsunami laundromat nearby and picked it up a few hours later…great service. The complex is so rich in history…. If the walls could talk! Thank you so much, Robert, for an incredible stay (and property manager Brian). We loved every minute of our time in the Fred Astaire suite…we will be back!!

Robert made our stay so comfortable and welcoming! The Fred Astaire condo is so beautiful, clean and stocked with all one’s needs. The pool area is lovely and also immaculate. Our stay was so easy all the way from making the reservation to our departure, which saddens us! 😊. We could stay so much longer! Thank you, Robert, for helping making this a lovely getaway.

If you are considering palm springs and found this listing, click and rent now... the hosts have an outstanding place to rent that is both decorated amazingly, outdoor space shows a lot of attention to detail and the place comes with everything you will need for time away. We found all the necessary cooking gear to do light meals at the unit. Location is very central to anything in palm springs. everything worked as it should and the place is SUPER CLEAN. if I had to come up with any negatives, the guide the owners have painstakingly put together doesn't accurately reflect the streaming channels currently in use and we struggled to find local news and as mentioned in a few other reviews, the patio does face the main street. some will find this objectionable but it was a NON ISSUE for us. street is pretty quiet into the evening. views are amazing from it and the patio feels very cozy and private with the landscaping. OVERALL a FANTASTIC place to stay and would rent here again in a second. first vrbo I have stayed at in many years and this left a VERY positive lasting impression from the owners that appear to take great pride in their rental..... thank you for the awesome stay!!

We had a great stay at this property in Palm Springs. It was well furnished and the only thing that we thought should be there was brought to our unit in short order. The unit was very clean and the facilities (Pool) was great. The location is excellent and close to all the things we had planned in the area. Excellent restaurants are within a couple miles and there is a good breakfast place right across the road. When we head back to Palm Springs, we will be certainly hoping to rent this same unit! The owner was in communication via texts and access was easy and he responded quickly and pleasantly to all messages.

The swimming pool is the prize though. Cleaned daily, it was grand! Always warm, plenty of chairs and chaise lounges are available even on weekends. The grounds were also groomed daily and a pleasure to saunter through both day and evening. The windows in the condo do face Palm Canyon Drive so during the day you will have some road noise. It's very quiet after dark. The view of the San Jacinto mountains from the living room and patio is majestic! It is a vintage building, (built in 1957) so the outside may not look like some of the areas newer construction. But once you are inside the gates of the Ocotillo Lodge with it's much storied history of elite Hollywood clientele, you may be walking in the same steps as Marilyn Monroe, Lucille Ball, Betty Grable, Gene Autry, Dean Martin, Frank & Sammy..................and even Fred Astaire!

I picked the Fred Astaire suite in Ocotillo Lodge for the high number of positive reviews. They were well earned. Suite 109 is near the north east corner. While it faces East Palm Canyon Drive, the ivy covered patio wall muffles the road sound. The unit has fabulous authentic mid century décor. The owner, Robert has thought of everything. It is fully equipped, even a retro bar cart with tools! He is the best landlord and was more than accommodating. The patio is like a grotto with water feature and coloured lighting. The only disappointment was in January the sun is not quite high enough to hit it. However there is lots of sun at the pool. It is huge, heated and was never too busy while I was there. Local shopping is a half mile away with the marvellous Ace Hardware, Ralph’s groceries & an excellent nail spa. Also the fantastic Smokin’ Burgers. There is no in-suite washer and the communal laundry uses an app, which I did not try. The units are very private and it was nice to walk around and picture the stars who used to hang out here. Good for the solo traveller, On the bus line and close to downtown this is the best spot for a stay in Palm Springs.

Took a solo trip to Palm Springs and this condo was great. Good location near lots of restaurants, near the downtown area without being overly close. Property manager was very accessible. Condo had a great pool and loved the view of the mountains from the outdoor patio.
