Great backyard, pool, etc. Spacious, comfortable home. Needs updating. Unfortunately owner video records open areas in home. Illegal and invasion of privacy. He also wants a signed agreement with him, not VRBO after payment was put down with outrageous stipulations like $1000 fine if pool cover is left off. Again, illegal.

The house was just as described and perfect for our family week. The pool is massive and we used it nearly every day, as it was a very hot week. The location is perfect, only a 5 minute drive into Woodstock.

Relaxing Getaway
Joseph’s home was a nice little getaway for our large family ranging from 2 years old to grandparents. The house was very spacious and it was so nice having towels and linens provided. The backyard was a little paradise with a gorgeous pool that everyone enjoyed and enough seating for us all to relax and enjoy dinner and time together. Joseph was very responsive and takes pride in his home. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was going well throughout our stay. We would definitely book again the next time we want to travel in the area!

Comfortable family home for Woodstock weekend
We had a ladies weekend in Woodstock and were happy with the accommodations. Joseph was very helpful. He sent links for things to do in the area, and even pre-heated the hot tub for us! The house is a short drive to downtown Woodstock and the beautiful Ashokan rail trail where you can bike/walk/run. It definitely is not walkable to town - there are no sidewalks and a very narrow shoulder. We easily fit our group of six at the table and in the comfortable seating in the living room. The firepit is on the side of the house in view of the street so we ended up not using it. Overall a nice place to stay! The only negatives other than not being able to walk to town (something of course not the owner's fault) are that the house has lots of the owners' items in closets and drawers, and there are several cameras, including inside (which we covered). I'd recommend the home for families given the big yard with pool and trampoline, toys, ping pong, and two living areas.

My extended family rented this house for a week and we had a wonderful time. It was spacious enough for our group of 13. The pool, hot tub and yard are just phenomenal. Generally everything was great but there are a couple things to be aware of before you arrive. There is no central air - only window A/C units which can be quite loud if you are a sensitive sleeper. The house has a lot of stuff in it since the owner lives in the house for part of the year, however, it was difficult to find some basic things like wine glasses, tupperware with the right tops for leftovers, bowls. The open layout and huge dining room table are really great and the two fridges (one in the garage) but be aware that the cooking area is a little tight the way it is laid out. Nothing the owner can do about that, just be aware if you plan to cook some group meals. Overall, no regrets - the vacation was memorable, the house fit our group perfectly and we'll never forget watching the Olympics together on the massive couch in the living room each evening. Joseph was so accommodating and helpful - from his videos with instructions to answering texts at all hours to help us find something. Would definitely rent again!

Warning: The house has multiple indoor and outdoor surveillance. VRBO policy states no indoor surveillance is allowed, and the owner argued with me until I mentioned the policy. I ended up covering every indoor and backyard camera, but I was still uneasy the entire stay.
There was clutter everywhere; no space to unpack my clothes, put away pantry items and there was minimal counter space (due to multiple small appliances). Children’s toys were jammed into the corners of the TV room as well.
The host was helpful at first, but then he started asking me to do things for him that I thought were beyond my stay as a guest; add water to the pool, bring in all the outdoor cushions and interact with the emergency septic maintenance crew. The handyman came by multiple times, which I thought was too much.
The one positive was the pool and outdoor space.

Perfect house for our family vacation to Woodstock. House had plenty of room for our children and grandchildren. There were so many toys for the kids-they had a blast! The pool was beautiful! Lots of fun on the fully netted trampoline. And we loved the fire pit. A very quick ride to town. This was the best year yet! Joseph was extremely accommodating and did everything he could to make us comfortable.

Family retreat
This is a great property for families, particularly those with young children. Lots of toys and activities; pool, hot tub and trampoline were all big hits with our kids (aged 1-11). Nice, quiet neighborhood close to downtown Woodstock and near plenty of beautiful trails for hiking.

Perfect Woodstock Getaway
Joseph saved our vacation by giving us a last minute booking when another property manager had double booked the VRBO home where we were supposed to stay! The house was perfect for our family of 5 - quiet neighborhood, lovely pool, lawn to play on, trampoline, grill and fire pit were everything we could ask for. And the bed in the master bedroom is particularly comfortable!
One note is that this is definitely a home that is lived in, not a purely rental property. That means the kitchen is better stocked than any short term rental I've ever been to, but also means that there are a lot of the owners' personal items in the house. It was not an issue for us, but was a surprise since so many VRBOs seem to be devoid of the owners' things.

Perfect Woodstock Stay
What a perfect house! We have 3 small kids and the house was fantastic, with more than enough room for our family. The pool was great, the leaves were were stunning, the house was clean and large, the owner was responsive, what more could we ask for? Thanks so much!

Great getaway
We had a great stay in Woodstock! The owner was very accommodating and even offered us a bottle of wine for our bday celebrations. The house was perfect for the 11 of us (four kids including a baby). Would highly recommend.

Great house for a family getaway
We spent Thanksgiving in Woodstock and had everything we needed for a fabulous family vacation. Lots of space in the house, everything you need in the kitchen, and great location. Logistics were very easy. Would definitely rent again.

Great location, great house
This house is awesome and the location is great. There is a bedroom on the first floor that is a bit separate from the rest of the house which could be good for privacy and quiet. There is only one bathroom on the main floor.
There are two great living spaces, including a tv room with lots of toys. The master bedroom, upstairs, has a crib. There are plenty of towels and linens and blankets. The pool and hot tub were fantastic. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and pretty much everything you need. We made apple pie and apple turnovers from our apple picking adventure on the way upstate. The dining room is huge. The owner is very responsive, and the check in check out went well. He asked us to wash the pool towels on the end of the stay which worked out ok. There is dish soap, laundry soap, trash bags, etc. (not every house is so well equipped.) In addition there is a crib, a high chair, bicycles and a scooter. The kids had a blast.
The house is a short drive from the village of Woodstock. Its near a supermarket but its also in a nice quiet neighborhood. We would definately go back.

The house was large, clean, and location was accurate to description. Joseph was a very flexible host who was easy to get in touch with regarding any questions. Made the whole process easy and simple so we could focus and enjoy our horse show.

A great way to kick off the summer
I rented the House for a weekend getaway a great way to kick off the summer with seven other friends. This house was perfect! The beds were plentiful and comfortable; Everyone enjoyed the pool and grilling outside. It was very hot that weekend but the house was comfortable and always maintained a good temperature. The pool was great with lots of space around the pool. The number of bathrooms made it easy to coordinate showers for all of us. There are a variety of "gathering" spaces in the house, so we could all be together or have solitude. We loved the closeness to Woodstock, for shopping and dining; there is a selection of grocery stores nearby. Most of our meals were prepared and eaten at the house, with a perfect Brand new kitchen or alternatively, a large dining table. Joseph was so easy to work with and fully understood our needs. Overall, it was the perfect property for our "girls weekend," and I would definitely rent it again.

Great place for families!
We had several families with children, ages ranging from 3 months to 10 years. The house was both safe and had all the conveniences a family would need - cribs, high chairs, toys, strollers, bikes, pool towels. The pool and hot tub were great and the neighborhood was quiet and safe. We would stay here again.

Better than the Hamptons
Amazing getaway. My wife and I and are little one were deciding between the Hamptons or the "Mountains" for a weekend getaway. We were so happy on deciding on Woodstock. The stay was just what we were looking for - super clean, comfortable and convenient. The hot tub was an added bonus. We did a lot of hiking and spent one night at a restaurant. he home was gracious and large enough to accommodate our extended family friends and We will definitely be back when the weather is warmer and we can spend more time in the pool. Listing didn't do the house justice - Far exceeded our expectations.

Amazing Home - Amazing Value
It is our 2nd time in this great house. We were 2 families accommodating this large 5 br home. With 2 large living rooms, fireplace, and an easily accessible kitchen, our stay was more than pleasant and smooth.
This house was cleaned, well-maintained and accommodating, The kids loved the outdoor hot tub ( the large heated pool was open - it was cold and we didnt really use it) .
For the one phone call we made, Joseph the owner was immediately available to us.
Dont think twice - This is a great value vacation home.

We had a very relaxing time in this large and comfortable home. It is very convenient to Woodstock town center and a lovely drive to the hunter/windom areas.
