Really enjoyed the cottage. Only thing was one road out but that of course was an act of God with mud slides and host have no control over that.

Absolutely beautiful location. We arrived on a sunny day and were graciously greeted by our hosts. Great pool and hottub set up and we had everything that we needed at the property. There was a landslide which blocked the direct South road to Topanga from the southern highway. We were rerouted (by google) to take the Las Flores road to get to Topanga. It ended up being a wonderful diversion and we got to see some amazing properties on the way. Would actually recommend taking that route at least once if you are new to the area.

Lovely quaint cottage with pool and hot tub. Quiet and comfortable and away from hectic LA but not too long of a drive.

A short weekend getaway lead us to this beautiful little guest house with easy, private access to a hot tub! Clean, unique and close to the beach, and all the fun Topanga Canyon has to offer. Highly recommended!

Need to eliminate musty smell that hits you when you first walk in. Need better positioning of bed with low ceilings. Overall great neighborhood, beautiful scenery great location. Enjoyed are stay.

The guest house was clean and well maintained. One suggestion would be to add a few well placed landscaping lights to guide the way in after dark.

Photos are accurate. The pool is rimmed with rock and mimics a natural pool more than a turquoise rectangle. My son jumped in the cold water both afternoons we were there. We both enjoyed the hot tub. Screen shot directions or commit to memory. Cell service in the canyon is spotty.

I so enjoyed our stay at this location. I had to work in LA, and also wanted to do some sightseeing in Santa Monica. This location was a perfect jumping off point, which let you be close *enough* and yet feel like you’re getting away from it all.

My son and I enjoyed having a place secluded and picturesque. The pool was great for my grandson. We appreciated our conversations with owner’s fiancé.

I really appreciated the peace and beauty of the garden and pool after long days at work. Rachel and her two friendly retrievers made me feel welcome and at home. Definitely recommend this place if you want quiet and interesting nearby terrain and shops. Easy drive to Pepperdine Univ

We stayed at Rachel's at the end of our 15 day road trip out West last April. The location is ideal for visiting the north of LA. The shops nearby are very good. Be careful you need the car. The house is very quiet and Rachel is very welcoming. The environment is splendid. You are surrounded by nature so close to the hustle and bustle of the city. We had a great stay there, too short. Go there no problem. We’re French’s.

It is a cute little house in a neighborhood area. Especially the garden with pool is fantastic and it is easy to visit Santa Monica and L. A. The landlord was very friendly and available at every time. We stayed as a family of four and really enjoyed it. Thanks a lot.

The location was perfect, close to nature and not far from Malibu! I loved my runs in the national park, beautiful trails.

This cozy, romantic, 2 store cottage house is only 20 minutes drive from LA downtown. The hosts are super nice, easy checking and communication. Kitchen has good utilities. Pool and hot tub clean, ready to jump in! We are definitely consider another stay next time visiting LA.

Great place out of the city for quiet relaxing stay. Location and property were beautiful. Guest house was clean and well kept. Lots of hiking trails near by. Hot tub was perfect way to relax after a day of sight seeing. Be prepared for very windy roads on the route to get there. Host was friendly and welcoming responding quickly to any questions. Would recommend if you enjoy staying outside of the busyness of the city.

We found this super cozy place in the canyon of Topanga, south of Calabasas and just North of Malibu! Great access to the beaches (Malibu, Santa Monica, and Venice) and the surrounding little town in the Hills. We went to a little restaurant there (Cafe on 27) in the Hills, packed in the evenings, so we went early the next morning, great Brunch spot! We had access to the pool and Hot Tub, so that was great after a day of walking the trail at the "Top of Topanga" Lookout trail, and the beaches! Great location, GREAT host, and super awesome little "cottage" type place to stay! Would definitely book with them again, next time we're in LA!

This little cottage was perfect for my husband and two little boys. We arrived late and tired after a long day at Universal Studios to a warm and cozy place ready for our arrival. We took a quick drive down to Topanga beach to play for the day. We enjoyed the spa and the beautiful views. We brought in groceries and cooked dinner together in the little kitchen. The host was very good at communicating and we felt very taken care of. We would stay again.

I stayed solo to attend a retreat, so I was only at the property during early eve/mornings. The host was very responsive before and during my stay, and checked in on me after a few days. Area is secluded and very quiet. Be sure to bring a flashlight! I arrived in the dark; opening the very wide, heavy driveway gate with luggage and flashlight was awkward. Thankfully Rachel had put on lights and space heaters in the cottage before my arrival. Can’t comment on the hot tub or pool because they weren’t available during my stay (there was rain before my arrival).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely little spot. It was cozy and sweet, with a great little yard for our dog and two kids to play in. My kids are 6 and 11, and they loved walking with me and the dog in the hills, watching the sunset along the canyon, and making "fairy houses" from the leaves in the yard. The owners have two very friendly goldens that our family also enjoyed meeting. Visiting our families for the holidays can be extremely stressful, and this was a perfect peaceful retreat to provide a sense of safety and connection to nature. I would definitely stay here again. I recommend this site for a couple or folks with elementary school aged kids. Families with crawlers or early walkers should proceed with caution. The stairs have wide railings and it is a pool house, so it opens onto the pool area, which should be easily seen in the description and images. Overall, very clean well maintained and comfortable, with friendly owners.

A lovely place to stay. Perfect for 2, excellent for 3, getting crowded with 4. Inside, it's a sweet getaway with all the comforts: DirecTV, fast high-speed Wi-Fi, big fridge, gas stove, nice dishes -- everything you need to snack or even cook a generous meal. In a small loft is a big comfortable bed. Not just attractive, this place is squeaky clean! Inside, we thought it was great...not fancy, but true Topanga woodsy. Outside, it's magnificent. Tall trees, lush, verdant greenery surrounding a beautiful pool and gurgling waterfall. Plenty of chairs, table, and recliners to sit in and admire it all. Oh, and we treasured the plant-entwined arch, leading to the shrubbery-encircled hot tub. It's all in a quiet part of the canyon, where the sounds of birds, bees, and a murmuring breeze soothed our city-mangled souls for a few days! Would spend more time there in a heart-beat.

The host was kind and responsive. The place was very secluded. Got there in the dark and it was a bit treacherous. The place itself was very dated. Especially the bathroom which had a very tiny shower and absolutely no toiletries. There was a private hot tub that you had to wait an hour to heat. The seating area was uncomfortable and there was only a space heater to heat the place. For the price, I was expecting it to be much nicer.

Rachel had the place all perfectly ready and actually accommodated me arriving a little early. Place is just as gorgeous as the pictures. Beautiful at night and during the day. Perfect place outside the city but close enough to drive anyewhere. Thank you for such a great place

Rachel was great to work with. We had to adjust our trip a bit and she was super about communicating and making the requested changes quickly. The guesthouse had a fully stocked mini kitchen with full size fridge and we loved being able to do a mix of meals out in local establishments as well as in. The two pups are super sweet!

I stayed here with my three kids and it was somewhat small for the four of us but that was well advertised. Loved the hot tub. The host was very nice.
