Great house in great location. The family really enjoyed the close by trails!

We had a great stay at Debbie’s property for our yearly Thanksgiving trip! The home was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Perfect for myself, my husband, and parents. Just a short drive into town so it was perfect proximity for all there is to do. Only issue we ran into was that our Nissan Armada was far too large to be in that driveway or safely get out. There are two concrete slabs to help you get up the driveway but the top became slippery and difficult to maneuver once we got up there. The home was lovely and we would book again in a heartbeat but would bring a different vehicle next time for ease of use.

We drove in from PA for my nephews wedding and the area did not disappoint. The home is close to town and a very short drive to Highlands Country Club. We can't wait to go back! If it is a nice day I suggest you walk to town. Parking is at a premium. We parked 3 blocks from Main Street and joked we should have just walked. The home is gorgeous! My kiddos loved the rock formations and woods. Beautiful, beautiful home!

First time we used VRBO, family attended a destination wedding in North Carolina . Stayed in small private home in the hills. Owner very helpful with lots of follow up information including directions, local activities and house responsibilities.

My wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary with a trip to Highlands. This house was absolutely wonderful! Close to town and convenient but also had a secluded feel. We will definitely be coming back!

This house was amazing. The house was absolutely spotless. I was so amazed with the beautiful decor throughout the house and stunning Mountain Views. The house has plenty of space for everyone to spread out or gather in the nice living room. The host was very prompt with her responses and she even provided great directions to the house so we we would not be lost. Lastly, it was just minutes from town by car, but offered stunning Mountain Views. I highly recommend this house for any stay!

Everything in the description of this cabin was as advertised. Very clean, beautifully decorated, close to town (4 min drive), quiet, everything in the house you would need to enjoy your stay. As a note that has nothing to do with the listing, food at both Ugly Dog Pub and Blue Bike Cafe was excellent with very friendly service and again very close (5 min).

The house was very pleasing to the eye and well kept. It suited our needs and was not far from the main drag.

We loved the listing online, but the location is even better in person!

We came to Highlands with friends to celebrate my 60th birthday. Great house and location. We enjoyed seeing some of the many waterfalls in the area!

Loved our stay. Home was decorated nicely. Kitchen had all we needed. Owner was friendly and we plan to rent again soon.

We had a great time here! The property is near the top of the Rhododendron trail, and the house has windows in just the right spots to see a gorgeous sunrise. Highly recommend!

This property is excellent! We even asked the owner to let us know if she ever plans to sell it because we want a shot at it! Clean. Well decorated. Plenty of linens and comforts. I enjoyed the homey atmosphere. Family photos and games that invite your family to be part of their family. Debbie was awesome! We arrived after a hard freeze with ice covered roads causing major issues for my 2WD truck. We couldn’t make it up the road to the cabin. I called Debbie and she routed us a different way. When we got stuck that way, too she offered to credit our stay if we needed to find other accommodations. One of the neighbors came to our rescue. He pulled my truck out of the road to a safer spot. We were determined to stay so we unloaded our luggage and huffed it up the hill about 100 yards. The next day the ice had melted enough to to move my truck and our adventures resumed. An unexpected adventure, a great owner, and nice neighbors (who were exceptionally quiet) combined for a superb time of fun for my family. We will return to stay with Debbie again. No doubt!!!!

Take your trash home with you? Really? Coffee maker was a relic and very difficult to operate (and not just by me). Home was very nice. Very clean. We used the wood burning fireplace and while it was a beautiful fireplace, there was an obvious smokey smell in the house while it was burning...may want to get that checked out.

If you are visiting Highlands and want a place that is close to everything and still has the peaceful feeling of seclusion and rest this is the location for you. The home is beautiful and supplies everything you need to make your visit complete. The owner was helpful in every way and responsive to all our inquiries. We highly recommend.

Beautiful house, newer construction, very well equipped, spacious and airy, wonderful deck overlooking lots of greenery, peaceful setting, everything in full working order - highly recommended!! Just be aware that the last part of the drive is a somewhat rutted gravel road, perhaps a bit of a challenge for lower-riding cars, although not bad in our CR-V.

This is our second time staying at this house and we really enjoyed it. It’s the perfect size for our family and we love the location. Great trails right by the house and a quick drive or nice long walk into town.

We absolutely loved this house and hope to stay here again! It’s modern and clean, with a great back deck and comfortable living areas. The location is only about 10 minutes from downtown Highlands, with its cute shops and restaurants. Cashiers, Lake Glenville and amazing waterfalls are also only about 20-30 mins away. Perfect location and great house!

This was exactly what we were looking for in a getaway. The home was very spacious and quiet. The views were amazing and you felt like you were away from it all but you could walk to town. I would definitely recommend this location.

Easy rent. No problems

My husband and I wanted a weekend out of town before the holidays with our kids.. This house was in a great location. It was very clean with a modern kitchen and bathrooms. Everything about it was easy and comfortable. We would stay again!
