There is a kitchen but looks like only for staff. The toilet seat in the private room has foam on it, is a little bit strange. Room don't have a proper air source, as the windows is to the neighbors backyard. With the AC it's probably possible to remove some humidity.

Everything was loud. Dogs barking through the night, kids playing from early morning to late at night. Music blaring 8am-9pm. Private room was hardly private, the walls didn't connect to the ceiling so sound carried in and out. 'Private' bathroom wasn't so either, had stains on the seat the morning we woke up, someone else had used it. We were very disappointed and uncomfortable, left after one night. Was disappointed our previous booking had to cancel on us and we were forced to settle on this hostel. Was a big waste of our time and money, regret how this played out. Won't be in a rush to use booking.com again, have more consistent and accurate service from hostelworld and airbnb

I think what could be improved for my comfort is considering vegan breakfast, since the first time I couldn't eat because of the meat, jeje

The staff was helpful and friendly. There are community dinners. Its easy to connect to others there.

Breakfast was sometimes too less

Absolutely great value for money. The breakfast was different every day, with coffee too. Location super good for access to the highway. The boys working there were really lovely. A fan for every bed. Comfortable mattresses. Good internet. Basic, but really fantastic for one of the cheapest places in town.

Sometimes the bathrooms smelled, and the toilet cubicles were kinda small. Not a big deal though.

Excellent staff, excellent people ! Air conditioning was great to have.! Welcomed like family !

A bit more cleanliness would make it better and as a future project to make it even more awesome some sound prof windows !

The hostel staff didn't have a locker for me, but then they found one, it was dirty, noisy (reggaeton was played all the time which was annoying and couldn't let you rest. It was played from large speakers). The breakfast was just one piece of dry bread, banana slices and some watermelon and that's it. I would say that was one of the worst of my stayings in hostels.

I was in La Selva only for a night. The bed was okay and I had towels. I personally like the area, quite close to the main road (you don´t have to carry your heavy bag all though town).

The rooms (even the private ones) are open on the top, so it is not a closed room. That means, you are not really private and hear all the noise. It is like a dorm bed with some walls :D other than the bed there is nothing in the room, it is supersmall. I had no toilet paper in the toilet. Okay to sleep for one night but for the price there are supercute other places to find.

Breakfast didn’t accorde with the description, no fruits or no choice of meal. We couldn’t cook our own, and very small place to put our food in the fridge. We had only a small sheet for the bed, we ask for an extra blanket but they gave us a little one (too small even for one person). Really noisy.

People at the reception was nice.

The private room did not smell good. Other private rooms were not in a better situation. The washroom/ shower is really basic. I am not really picky but when you get a private room and the room smells bad..I wouldn't stay there again.

the room had no air flow, smelled like a glade chemical plug-in, had humidity/mold problems. very uncomfortable. No hot water, leaky shower (needs longer curtain or moveable head), sound travelled through the night so couldn’t sleep even with ear plugs. in 3 years of hostelling this was the second worst :( also, there are dogs on the property it should be mentioned in case of allergies. staff was nice though.

In case you are coming with public transport, it is just a short walk from the bus stop. Quite convenient. Breakfast was home cooked and delicious. Easy going and chilled vibe.

No curtains on the beds. Hygiene in the bathroom area can be improved. There are actually no rooms, they are partitions, so any sound travels in the whole hostel.
