Ill recommend this property for the rest of my life. We loved it so much. Tucked away in a quiet road with plenty of space to feel like your home. No need to drive if you’re staying around town as you can walk or bike everywhere. Beach access is extremely close and the front porch was perfect for sitting at night and listening to the ocean. Thanks to Lisa for her easy communication and instructions from start to finish.

What a fantastic place to stay! The house was spacious, clean, and super comfortable. Loved our breakfasts and dinners on the porch. Lisa was extremely responsive and very helpful. 1 minute walk to the beach, 5 minutes walk to Hanalei shops and restaurants. Perfect vacation - thank you!

It's a 2 minute walk to the public beach, a 5 minute walk to downtown, and a 15 minute walk to the pier. Everything inside is nicely updated. The kitchen had plenty of counter space and I really appreciated the large sink. Having the full size washer and dryer was so nice. I liked how open the great room was and how it's not too cluttered with excess furniture. The day bed that's off to the side of the great room was a perfect place to relax and read. We didn't use the other 2 bedrooms, but they would be perfect for a family. Even with the rain, it was nice to sit out on the porch to eat or read. The bikes were a little rickety, but Hanalei really isn't a place for biking - the roads are too narrow and the main road usually has lots of cars. There were several boogie boards, but the adult size boards were in bad shape and need to be replaced. There is a residence behind the rental and they were very quiet and super friendly! I would definitely stay here again!

The house exceeded our expectations (and our expectations were high) in every way. The house is bigger than I expected, it is super clean, impeccably maintained, and it has everything and anything you could imagine. Lisa, our host, is beyond incredible. She is a wonderful communicator, easy to talk to and work with, responsive, and she even was willing to stock the house with some essentials for our arrival (we paid her for that of course). The location can't be beat - 500 steps to the beach, a quick walk (and quicker bike ride) to the best restaurants/shops/bars/activities in Hanalei. I was genuinely sad when we had to leave - I would book this house again in a heartbeat without even thinking twice. Mahalo for everything!

This home was clean, convenient and well taken care of with what looks like a fairly recent remodel that was tastefully done. Due to the Hanalei landslide, we were able to enjoy the town and beach which is a simple walk away.

Magical stay. Location cannot be beat - about a block from the ocean in one direction, Hanalei town the other. You could come here and never get in a car and have a fantastic trip. Comfy beds. Comfy porch. Felt like home.

Kuuipo Hale is ideally located to enjoy the quaint, friendly town of Hanalei and Hanalei Bay beach - both on foot. The house is cozy, well-appointed and perfectly suited for a couple of families and children or simply one couple. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, cooked nearly every night for dinner on the grill or in the well-equipped kitchen and breakfasted on the front porch more than once. This house lacks a back garden due to the proximity of the house to the rear, but any bird watcher would be happy to spot several beautiful species right off the front porch and would enjoy a nightly serenade by the white-rumped shama that spends time in the front garden every day. Hanalei is wonderfully situated to enjoy the north coast with it’s many hiking trails of all difficulty levels, the beautiful Hanalei Valley with its taro ponds and Limahuli Botanical Gardens. Access to the Princeville area and the incredible Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge with its hundreds of nesting red-footed boobies, albatrosses, frigatebirds, etc. is quite easy as is a somewhat longer jaunt all the way down south to the Waimea Canyon area. All in all, a comfortable and happy experience.

We had an amazing time - hiking Napali, Beach time, snorkeling, great meals and yoga at Black Coral. The house is wonderful - peaceful and relaxing, white-washed clean and stocked with anything you need. The location is perfect - a quick walk across the street to the beach, a 10 minute wander into town. We loved dinner at Baracuda and live music at Tahiti Nui.

The Kuuipo house has everything you would ever need to have for a lovely stay. Wonderfully charming and comfortable decor. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch sipping coffee during the morning rain. The location was great for easy beach access and quick walk into town. The air conditioning was key on a couple of the warmer nights while we we visiting. Can't wait to return.

We have stayed in Hanalei a few times and this is by far the best. Location is awesome. Steps from the town or beach. The house is very clean and there was fresh fruit waiting for us. Even the soap is awesome. There was plenty of beach toys/chairs for the family. A/C was nice at times to turn on. Beds were comfortable and they had a rain shower in one of the bathrooms for my 6’5 body. We will stay here in the future.

House was in he perfect location, short walk to Hanalei Bay, short walk to town for restaurants or groceries. There were days we didn’t use the rental car. Home fit our needs nicely. There were only four of us and we could have accommodated four more. We will stay here again.

The house is about 75 yards away from the beach entrance to Hanalei Bay (among the most beautiful, swimmable beaches I've ever been too), AND it's just a 5-minute walk to the cool, funky 'downtown' shops in Hanalei. Three bedrooms -- one with 2 twins for kids -- and a modern, quiet A/C system make this a great place to stay.
