Fairytale property in the woods. Fabulous wooden architecture and very large twin room. An excellent restaurant serving healthy, delicious food. Lovely, eco food and clothes shops in the same building. You get a free pass for local public transport.

I really, really liked the place. This is just information, particularly for other cyclists. I was glad that I had read other reviews warning that the restaurant stopped serving at 7pm. It would have been a nasty surprise if we had arrived later and were hungry. The location is quite a climb (on fully-loaded touring bikes) from Uberlingen. Have your lake swim before you head up to the hotel as you will probably not want to go out again. Although you can easily get to and from the hotel by bus with your free pass. Because of the location, we had a difficult detour to rejoin the lake radweg the next day, heading towards Friedrichshafen. In retrospect, we should have gone back to Uberlingen. Our ‘shortcut’ involved lifting our bikes over a tree trunk and crossing a busy road. The walls were quite thin.

The rooms were modern and cosy, the beds were incredibly comfortable and it was really wonderful having access to the market.

The building construction is beautiful! Ideal For a group of 12 persons, as the hotel Offers 6 rooms only.

On Sunday they don’t offer Breakfast. That was a pity as our group occupied all the rooms, and for the other comments it sounds like a good breakfast. They offer us to make a instant coffee und tea. A bit noisy.

Took a while to check-in, but we were kindly given a free drink to make up for the wait

The breakfast was non-existent and expensive for a croissant and coffee. The location was difficult to find and I had to stop at the police station to get adequate directions. I did like the rustic architecture. The place is a combination general store/room rental, and is located in an Industrial zone.

I didn't like the insects I had to kill in the room, especially, since my wife thought there were fleas in the bed clothing. The furnishings (bed, closet, chairs, etc. were home-made - I'll send pictures later. The screens didn't fit the windows well and allowed insects to enter. The bath tiles were broken.

It's not only a hotel with 6 rooms, it's also a restaurant and ecological supermarket. You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant. Don't forget to pop-in by the supermarket! Rooms are comfortable with (in our case) two separate beds. Warm welcome on arrive! We also get a card to use the Public Transport for free during our stay.

Unfortunately the restaurant is closed on Sundays, also for breakfast. You have to go to the city centre what is a bit far away. Not a big issue but good to know.
